Started with the fish cigars and they are SO good and very toddler friendly (he ended up eating most of them). We also got the risotto, rigatoni, and salmon and all of them were super tasty. I also appreciate that most of the mains come with a veggie that is seasoned just as well as the fish! They also just got their liquor license so while their menu has mostly sake/wine cocktails and options, you can get margaritas, or other cocktails with liquor. This is essentially a Jewish restaurant that also serves sushi. One thing I appreciated about this place is that it's open till 10pm and not 9 or earlier like so many of the other places to eat in the area. I stopped by because i had intended on trying this place for a while, and I live very close to it. The parking, I discovered, is vallet, and 8 dollars I believe. The staff were nice and that is one of the best things I noticed about this place. I ordered the potato dish, which was a small and light dish. It was good. My bf and I have been eyeing this place because we're biiiiig fans of Tel Aviv Grill and finally decided to check it out for lunch. When we came there wasn't a wait but I've seen it busy at times. They have seating inside and some outdoor tables too. You order like a typical sit-down restaurant, the waiter comes to take your order, brings you your food, then the check. We ordered the whole denise fish and you get one choice of side with that - we got the israeli salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, onion). They bring out a beautiful rotating platter of dips with freshly warm pita and a side plate of hummus. You can't help but just dig right in. The hummus is to die for, I could have licked the plate clean by the end of it. The pita is deliciously fluffy and fresh. It's fun to try all the little side bowls - everything from baba ganoush to salsas to quinoa salad. After some time, the fish came out! It was lightly fried and tasty, especially with the squeeze of lemon. Really tasty meal overall. My bf got the limonana drink - it's light and not overly sweet, lots of blended mint. While there were a few items on the menu that we did enjoy, overall the experience did not meet expectations. The biggest disappointment was the service. I made a reservation for four at 6:30 PM, and at 8:00 PM--while we were still in the middle of enjoying our meal--we were asked to move to accommodate a larger party. This was extremely frustrating, especially since we were catching up with close friends we hadn't seen in years. If there was a time limit for the table, this should have been clearly communicated at the time of booking or when we were seated. It would have given us the option to choose a different restaurant for the evening. Although the staff offered complimentary desserts to make up for moving us to the bar, it didn't make up for the disruption of the experience. read more
