    Lamb Shakshouka Pizza

Unique open cavern atmosphere houses this festive and tasty place. I had been here years ago when it was a Greek restaurant, but finally made it to Bacari W 3rd. It can get loud (music bellows a bit at the beginning of the day) until the crowds absorb that sound. It also takes a bit of time for the full staff to appear as two servers were working the entire place for a bit too long. Bacari W 3rd is nonetheless highly recommended. It's fun to try a variety of dishes and land some very welcome flavors. The house cured olives with Marconi almonds are great, and go nicely with pretty much any beverage you can think of. The house baked baguette is something you think you can live without, but then you cave, and it's so worth it. A nice olive to go along with it, or dip it into the chili oil from the olives. Cold: the shrimp ceviche (citrus fennel vinaigrette, heirloom cherry tomatoes, cucumber, za'atar, sesame, sumac, lime chili chips = yum. Hot: The Bacari Burger is memorable - open-faced grass-fed beef, tomato, caramelized onion, Worcestershire aioli, telera roll and they throw an egg on it, too. Pizza: The lamb shakshouka pizza sounded adventurous enough to try, and I definitely liked it. The shakshouka appeared buried under arugula and hard boiled eggs, and was not as 'wet' as I expected. Still, it was enjoyable - and the crust had a great crispness. Desserts: The Malbi sounded quirky and irresistible, and it turned out to be a major win. Also enjoyed the bread pudding (clover honey custard, vanilla bean ice cream). The servers did a great job and deserve more support. At the start of a Saturday Brunch, there were only two staff on the floor and they were run pretty hard around the restaurant until more team members appeared. The music can be a bit loud - especially if you're near a speaker and/or the place is still filling up. Overall, fun place, cool vibe, delicious food.

My friend brought me here for a sunday birthday brunch. I've been to the one in Culver and I absolutely love it. This location is super cute. I love the layout way better than culver's. You walk through this long dark hallway and it opens up to the patio. The patio is amaizng because it's mostly covered by trees so the majority of the patio is shaded. On the right is their indoor area. I'd say the indoor area is slightly bigger than the outdoor but by not much. Now I went Sunday at 1:30P and it was packed. Luckily we made reservations. We got seated at the one table that was directly in the sun, but they were nice enough to move us. We ordered the following: Bacon Wrapped Dates: Enough said. Delicious! Brussel Sprouts: Super crispy.. the only way to eat them. But also, it's DOUSED with oil so sometimes it feels like your drinking oil Bacari Pancake: OMG this was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend. I'm not big on heavy butter, but their cardamom butter was sooooo goood. Crab Cake Benedict: This was doused with sauce. You couldn't even see the crab cake. I thought i was good. Just a LOT of sauce. I also got a cocktail. It was a vodka coffee cocktail. They always get their drinks right here. It's not too sweet. A good balance! Overall, food is solid. The reason why I give 4 stars rather than 5 is actually because of the atmosphere. As cute as this location is, I feel like they really try to cram as many tables as possible in this space. You're so close to the other tables, and it's hard to squeeze through to get in and out. Because of that, it's so loud in there. It felt like I had to talk over the people next to us, and service can be a little slow since all the servers are running around so much tending to so many tables.

My dad was in town for work so I brought him to Bacari for some delicious sharable dishes! We didn't have a reservation but were able to be seated immediately on a weekday evening, which was a pleasant surprise. I absolutely love the ambiance here! There's both indoor and outdoor patio seating - the patio is definitely the highlight. It's so beautiful with the tree cover above and feels like a magical, cozy courtyard. Service was great throughout our meal as well. The dishes are on the small size which is great for sharing and trying a variety of items! What we tried: - Scallop medallions: 3 scallops in a carrot parsnip puree with capers - the scallops were cooked perfectly - golden crisp on the outside and soft on the inside - Lamb hummus: this might have been my favorite!! A flavorful braised ground lamb paired with hummus and fresh pita and veggie pieces - Sea bass: pan seared sea bass (sooo soft and flaky!) with a savory corn, shredded cabbage, shallot, and aioli combination - Shawarma tacos: chicken sharwama, shredded cabbage, and pickled red onion tacos. Not bad but probably the one dish I could have skipped - Stuffed mushrooms: sooo yummy - mushrooms stuffed with a cheesy walnut pesto, just a perfectly savory - Glazed pork belly: so hearty! Perfectly glazed and seasoned pork belly

Bacari is amazing. Christian was a really fantastic server. Really appreciated his suggestions for the desert. The "best cake ever" is the best desert I've ever had.

Like comically bad. The food is sooo mid and service was pretty bad. We had a large group and a whole room to ourselves and the servers kept bumping our table, forgetting dishes, etc. Only halfway decent dishes were the rainbow beets appetizer and sea bass. The famed date cake was way too sweet.

Sometimes people get mad at you, through no fault of your own. Sure you can try reason and logic to remedy such situations but a person's emotions often trump such silly attempts. So what can one do when they are scoffed at for trying to think like an adult, instead of like a child? You bribe them, sometimes with money and other times, like tonight, with dinner and a good time. So that's how I found myself here at Bacari on W 3rd. Sure, the food is ok but it was the ambience that I needed tonight. Myself and 'The Angry One' were walked to our table in the garden just as the sun was starting to set for the night, highlighting the candlelight flames dancing along the walls. Her cold disposition was starting to melt away slowly but surely. We looked at our menu but I had been here before so I was not fooled by the prices of the dishes; the prices may be entree prices but this is a tapas restaurant. So I preceded to order 4-5 dishes.... just for myself. In a matter of minutes our small and intimate table was filled with shrimp ceviche, green falafel, caramelized cauliflower, shawarma tacos, scallop medallions, flat iron steak, bacari fries, a lamb shakshouka pizza, glazed pork belly and tripoline pasta to top it all off. I did most of the eating and to tell the truth I could have still gone for a bacon wrapped hotdog from the street vendor outside. Unsatisfied hunger aside, by the time dinner was done, that anger that was pointed directly at me like a nuclear missile had all but dissipated and I knew that by the end of the night, it will have completely been extinguished. Stay bribing people when logic and reason no longer work my friends....

One of the vibiest LA restaurants. Great vibes and always stylish people! Wonderful place to have a taco Tuesday. Their service is very fast and good. Foods are tapas style, try as many as possible, everything is so flavorful and yummy. Even with reservation, there is still waiting, but totally worth it.

We love this restaurant! This location specifically has a cute tunnel entrance that leads to a garden space. Make sure you make reservation ahead of time as their dinner time slots get filled up quickly. Street parking is pretty difficult over weekend dinner but not impossible. We enjoyed all food ordered but liked the pear pizza the most!

Potential for 5 stars but the food just takes insanely long to come out; it can be frustrating. Other than that, i love the spanish courtyard-esque ambiance. It's gorgeous inside but definitely very loud so probably not a first-date spot. Stuffed Mushrooms: BEST THING ANYONE CAN EVER EAT EVER. We got two rounds of them because they're just that good. They're filled with cheese & have this pesto garlic sauce on them it's just 100/10 Margarita Pizza: Pretty good pizza. Thin crust. comes hot & cheesy. i loved it. 7/10 The steak filet: So tender & comes with zucchini 10/10 Shrimp Ceviche: Served with fresh tortilla chips, the shrimp ceviche is pretty solid!! Very citrusy & fresh 8/10 Bread Pudding: It comes served so hot with nice cold vanilla ice cream on top. 7/10 I will be coming back FOR SURE.

First time here with a large group. Low parking options so I recommend valet. I also recommend reservations. This is a hidden gem. It is obvious by the crowds, this is a popular place. It is indoor/outdoor with natural kool vibe and ambiance. It is pretty loud though. Gender neutral bathrooms. Food is Tapas style. We got a ton of food and literally Everything we had was Amazing! Service was on point. We had the perfect person, "Justin" who took great care of all 7 of us. Never missed a beat, very friendly, courteous and attentive. Excellent customer service despite the countless other very busy tables he had. This was a great place to create memories. Thank Justin for making it GREAT!

We came on a weekend evening and had no trouble making a reservation. It was quiet when we arrived at around 6, but by 7 it was busy and crazy loud. Definitely sit outside so you can hear everyone! They told us to order a couple dishes to share because portions are smaller, which is true. We ordered the noa's cauliflower, Asian pear & Brie pizza, and the shrimp ceviche. Maybe it was what we ordered, but nothing stood out to me. Food was meh, and it was super loud to the point where we left early because we couldn't hear each other. It's a trendy spot but neither the food nor ambience did it for me.

Today I had the pleasure of eating at Bacari W 3rd. It's a cute restaurant and if you blink you will miss the entrance. The staff was nice and was rotating and helping at all tables and the food came out super fast, the Bacari Fries are a must try and the chicken schnitzel is very good. The drinks are good and the vibe in vibing

Bacari is amazing. I booked valentines reservations here, but was silly and accidentally booked it to a different Bacari location. The hostess was SO nice and gave us options to sit at the bar which was great. She could tell I felt bad and she brought me a free prosecco which was sooo kind of her. I really liked sitting at the bar, Super spacious and great lighting. The best service and it was nice having the bartenders right In front of us. The food here is insane. Yes the portions are small since they are tapas but they pack in SO MUCH FLAVOR. My boyfriend and I ordered 8 all vegetarian dishes cause we were super hungry and we finished 7/8 of them. My favorite is the mujadara and the pear pizza but honestly everything was good. I thought the street corn would be simple but it was one of the most flavorful dishes we got!! Also loved the pasta!! Cooked perfectly, I wish we got another!! If you're not vegan, I would skip the vegan chocolate cake, it was very chewy and dense with a weird flavor. But the ice cream saved it. Service was incredible. This is the 2nd year they have made our Valentine's Day super special.

It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

Also, we had a few questions about the menu and our drinks and the waitress would just say, "I think so?" or give a vague answer. She didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu at all. Chai lattes are my go-to so it's easy for me to compare and the drink here just doesn't have as much flavor as I expected and tasted watery. Not itching to return but if I did, I'd order an açaí bowl or a pastry as those seem pretty good.

I had many questions, and both he and his team addressed every single one with patience, care, and attention to detail. It's clear that Dave was born to host events! That level of guidance makes all the difference when you're nervours... that patience and guidance it's exactly what you want in a venue partner. Prank was an excellent choice for our event. The location is fantastic, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the drinks and food were outstanding. Thank you so much. We will absolutely recommend Prank and keep it on our radar for future events in LA.

The open patio, the bar area and how it wraps around the corner where there is a smaller intimate section. The music was awesome, the bartender has a great pour and the people seemed to be really having a great time. As I look around I see there is an open upstairs area that looks down onto the first level. So cool right? I had a conversation with two regulars and they swear by the menu. Plans are made to come back and I must try the food when I do. Cheers!!

Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that stood out from the first bite to the last. The ambiance was welcoming and the art was tasteful. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. We ordered the tostaditas de atún agua chile negro, beet salad, carne asada taco and Al pastor taco and watched the World Cup game. Distrito Catorce combines exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. It's the kind of place that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Definitely plan on coming back to watch more World Cup games.

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

My friend just flew in for a day because his relative had forgot her passport and needed to travel to Korea, so we stopped here. He missed a few meetings, a vet appointment and other things, but also saved the day, otherwise his relative wouldn't have been able to make it to Korea. While here, they ordered a salad with cherries and pecans that was pretty amazing. I think that may have been one of the better salads I've eaten. In addition to that, a cucumber burrata salad was ordered, and that was made well too. When my venison burger arrived, I took a few bites and it had the exact flavor I was hoping for and I thought the burger was done extremely well. My friend also ordered a pork chop, and it was an amazing cut, cooked perfectly, tender, juicy and everything you could ever want in a bone in pork chop. They also cut the entire piece for you and scraped every last bit off of the bone too. The service is really attentive. They come by your table a lot to ensure you have everything you need. The ambiance is a bit dim in lighting which sets a nice mood. And the place just happens to be dog friendly too. Sorry for the lack of photos, but I didn't wanna intrude on everyone else's meals. However, if you come here, definitely try the salad with cherries and the venison burger or the pork chop!
