Such an incredibly wonderful experience through and through. The food was excellent. The service was attentive, and everything was delicious. The stuffed squash blossoms were absolutely the best squash blossoms I've ever had in my entire life, the crunch was unmatched. The flavor was wow! Definitely cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu. What a lovely dinner.

I was having dinner with my friend and decided to check this place out. Alba's first restaurant is located in New York and now it's here in LA! Parking is a bit hard since it's located right on Melrose! Valet or meter street parking. Meter parking is $4 a hour. I really like the decorations and setup of the place. It's filled with bright colors! You can eat indoors or outdoors. We started with the must-eat which is the Focaccia Della Casa with whipped ricotta. The focaccia was delicious with oil dripping from it. We ate it all up. Next, we got the summer salad, which is arugula and watermelon. The salad tasted super lemony due to the dressing and it was super refreshing with the watermelon. Next up was what I came here to try, the Orecchiette arrabbiata! It had a nice spice but they top and mix the burrata to help mellow it. The pasta was cooked great. I like how they mix it table-side. I really enjoy this dish. It does run about $50 but it was a good portion size. We also got the Chicken Alla Diavola with bomba sauce! The chicken was juicy and the skin was a bit crispy. The dish was okay. Last, we got the tiramisu. It was good but I had better. You can really taste the alcohol in it. The service was absolutely amazing! Overall, super cute place to check out!

Alba is one of those places that gets a lot right. The ambiance is beautiful, warm, stylish, and perfect for a date night or catching up with friends. The service was also excellent. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The standout for me was definitely the Orecchiette Arrabbiata. I typically gravitate toward pasta dishes with a protein, but I had to try Alba's signature pasta, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We also ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was rich, comforting, and equally delicious. The Diavola chicken was another pleasant surprise, tender, flavorful, and one of my favorite dishes of the night. The focaccia is a must-order for the table, and the tartare was fresh and well-executed. The cocktails were good, but they didn't stand out quite as much as the food. My only critique is that I wish there were a few more menu options, especially considering the price point. While everything we ordered was enjoyable, the overall experience felt a bit pricey for the portion sizes and limited selection. That said, the beautiful atmosphere, attentive service, and standout dishes make Alba a place I'd gladly return to. With a few more menu offerings and a stronger cocktail program, this would easily be a five-star experience.

I really enjoyed myself. The food was delicious. The service was energetic. The drinks were perfect. I don't know what more one could want. I ubered. The valet option was $20. My filet was cooked perfectly medium. It was accompanied by some sort of vegetable medley. My friend said her branzino was amazing. The dessert was a semolina cake they call akin to bread pudding. It was nice. For me, it was more of a custard. The potatoes side dish was lovely and flavorful. We had some sort of salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, and strawberries that was indescribably beautiful. I would definitely return for the steak, the vibe, and the wine.

Absolutely blown away by this restaurant. Everything was so delicious! I was skeptical because we went an hour before closing and sometimes restaurants will make you feel rushed. However I had the best experience. Service was A1. Food was 10/10. Ambiance was moody and delightful. Will definitely be returning. The espresso martinis are probably the best in the city. I would come back for every I ordered. Tiramisu was also phenomenal!!

I'll be honest... my perception of Alba has completely changed from the first time we came.Julian, the manager, was incredibly attentive and made sure every detail of our party was taken care of. The service was remarkable and the food was absolutely delicious. It left a lasting impression on all of us. I've always believed there's room to grow and improve in any business, and the experience Julian and his team delivered is a perfect example of what that looks like in practice. It's rare to see a manager go above and beyond the way he did. Highly recommend, we're already looking forward to coming back!

Alba is definitely one of LA's hottest spots right now, and I really wanted to love it but overall, I was a bit disappointed. (Worth reading if your planning to go) First, the space itself is beautiful. The décor, arches, lighting, and indoor/outdoor setup all create a super cozy, aesthetic vibe. It's clearly designed to be a trendy, visually appealing restaurant. But a major issue for me was the restrooms. For a place at this level, it honestly made no sense. There are only two shared (unisex) stalls and one sink, and both times I tried to go, there was a line. One time someone had just used it and the smell was... BAD, especially since it's such a small space and right near where people are dining. For a high-end, trendy restaurant, this felt like a huge miss. Food-wise, it was just okay. We ordered a mix of popular and recommended dishes: - Zucchini blossoms: stuffed with a potato filling with a hint of coconut flavor. Interesting, not bad, but nothing I'd order again. Came with a garlic aioli-type sauce which I did like. - Focaccia with whipped ricotta: the bread had a nice crunch, but the ricotta was sweeter than expected and more like a thicker cream. Again, just okay. (4 pieces of bread) - Accanto salad: surprisingly one of my favorites. Simple, refreshing, and well balanced. - Agnolotti with black truffle: Flavorful, but you have to eat it hot..once it cools, the butter separates and it gets oily. I would recommend this one. - Table-side orecchiette with burrata: huge portion, but honestly very basic. It reminded me of something like elevated SpaghettiOs or even a Hot Pocket filling... not what I expected for a "signature" dish. Drinks were good..we tried the Negroni and the Gattuso, both on the sweeter side but well made. Service was great overall, and the bartenders were friendly and fun. There's valet parking, which is convenient. Overall, I'd rate it around a 3.5. The ambiance is beautiful and staff are great, but the restroom situation and underwhelming food make it hard to fully recommend. I might come back to try other dishes, but I'm definitely not rushing back. Thank you for the experience.

To be more accurate, I would rate this experience a 4.5, but rounded up since I'll probably want to come back here many times. I booked a reservation here for date night a couple weeks ago, so I was very excited to try out this spot. I heard a lot of good things about this place, and after looking at pictures of the food, I already had an idea what I wanted to order. When we arrived at the restaurant (Saturday evening), it was fairly easy to find metered parking across the street ($4 for 2 hours vs. $20 valet parking), and we just crossed the street. Walking in, the decor was cute, very trendy and posh-looking. Very pink. It was busy, and looking around, there were a range of customers from like...teenagers to older folks, so a nice array of guests. Everyone was dressed to go out on Saturday night. We were seated pretty quickly, but I asked to sit at another table. The both they sat me at was actually in between two seats, which created a gap in the middle. Pretty awkward. The women next to me noticed I asked to move, and they said they were initially seated there too, but also asked to move. The servers were really nice and seated us at another table, which was more comfortable for us. We ordered: Foccacia with ricotta, zucchini blossoms, agnolotti, branzino, the filet mignon, broccolini, a decaf coffee, and the white tiramisu for dessert. We also ordered an old-fashioned and an espresso martini. I was a fan of everything!!! We ate everything too, and I left feeling so full. The only issue was that we waited a long time for our second round of drinks. They actually forgot it, and we had to order it again. And we waited still, even longer after the second order. The drinks didn't come until we were through with dessert. By that time, we just wanted to cancel it, but couldn't even flag down a server to do that since they were busy. Aside from that -- all was really good. It was a successful date night. I'm likely gonna come back with a few girlfriends next time.

This place was so amazing!!! I instantly loved it when I walked in. The outside is all open which was so nice and we sat at the bar while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. The vibe of the restaurant was SO cute. I loved the colors and design of everything + it was poppin for a Tuesday. Our waiter was so great! I had the capri spritz to start which was so refreshing - it had yuzu + lemon drop. We ordered some appetizers - the focaccia Della casa (this was so amazing I esp loved the whipped ricotta), the shrimp trapanese, accanto salad (one of the best salads I've ever had. I loved how there were pomegranates in it). The squash blossoms were also one of my fav things - the sauce was so good. I got the agnolotti which had black truffle and was so delicious. Other people got the steak and branzino which was delish too! We also got a dessert and I don't remember what it was called but it was the cake one w pineapples on top and was also so good! Definitely gives a summer vibe too which I loved!

I've been wanting to try Alba for a while and it didn't disappoint! The restaurant is super cute with the decor and all of the pinks and whites. Our waitress was amazing at suggesting drinks and helping everyone at our table get exactly what they were looking for. She went above and beyond and even made up a new drink for a couple of the girls at the table which they loved. All of the pasta dishes we tried were super tasty. We had the pappardelle, agnolotti, and lasagne. We also loved the focaccia and eggplant parmigiana! The only things that were good but not great in my opinion were the chicken alla diavolo and the apple custard dessert. These were both still good but not as much of standouts as everything else. Will definitely come back!

It has been hard to secure a reservation here but was finally able to with some girlfriends. The interior is awesome and love the ceiling that opens up. All the food was great. The star of the show was the orichette, it is enough to share and comes with table side preparation. Our server was also great and entertaining!

    Maddy T.

Dimly lit, small menu, valet parking Alba has both valet and street metered parking. The inside was absolutely gorgeous. It takes you away from the busy melrose life and provides a calm vibe. We ordered a few things: - focaccia: toasted to perfection but still super fluffy and chewy - squash blossoms: toasted die for. The filling for me beat oste and mother wolf - lasagna: great base sauce but I feel like the noodles got lost in it - chicken: omg the seasoning? - Brussels sprouts: super tender and sauced up. I prefer a crispy sprout and these were more mushy Love love loved everything. The banger though were the squash blossoms.

These tables were empty for HOURS!! Our meal would've taken 1 hr since we ordered at the bar already and had an event after

The restaurant is very low-lit, intimate, and romantic, making it a great choice for a date night. I could also see it being a nice spot to visit with friends for cocktails or mocktails. They also have a wide variety of wines, which I really appreciated, especially when pairing wine with pasta. For our appetizer, we ordered the burrata, and it was definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. The cheese was incredibly creamy and lightly salted, which I personally loved. It was served with roasted tomatoes and fresh bread, and the combination was simple but really well executed. We also ordered two pasta dishes, and both were delicious. The pasta was cooked really well--not overly al dente--and the sauces were rich, flavorful, and thick enough to coat the pasta beautifully. You could really taste the depth of flavor in each dish. We also tried the mussels, which was my first time having them. Personally, they weren't my favorite, mainly because of the texture. However, I think that's completely subjective, and someone with a different palate may really enjoy them. I wouldn't consider this a flaw in the restaurant so much as a personal preference. The service was another highlight. Everyone was very kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. My only real criticism would be the seating and tables. The tables were somewhat wobbly and had a few visible scratches, which felt slightly out of place compared with the otherwise beautiful and sophisticated atmosphere. The seating was also quite tight, especially with an appetizer and two pasta dishes on the table. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Oster. The romantic ambiance, delicious pasta, creamy burrata, extensive wine selection, and excellent service made it a memorable dinner. The mussels weren't personally for me, but that's simply a matter of taste. Aside from the tight seating and slightly worn tables, I thought the restaurant was a wonderful spot for a romantic Italian dinner in LA.

It was definitely one of those restaurants I used to visit very often. My absolute favorites here were the Bucatini Carbonara and the Ricotta Homemade Cheese. They were seriously SO delicious, and I ordered them almost every time I came. Oh my....... I just found a photo from 2016 on my social media -- which means it's already been 10 years! It's such an old photo, but I was so happy to find it and it brought back so many memories, so I decided to finally write a review. I've probably been here 7 or 8 times over the years. The photos and dates I was able to find are from July 3rd, 2021, October 21st, 2016, and sometime in mid-November 2019, around my birthday. Every time I came here, I would get my favorites, the Bucatini Carbonara and the Ricotta Homemade Cheese, and they were always so, so good. However, the last time I visited, I went with Mom for dinner, and although we enjoyed everything as usual, there was a hair in one of the dishes at the end of the meal. I honestly couldn't believe it. I mentioned it to our server, and I remember that they apologized and handled the situation appropriately. It was a long time ago, so I don't remember every detail clearly, but I do remember that they removed the price of that dish from the bill. At the time, I appreciated the restaurant's proper response, and because this had been one of my favorite restaurants that I had loved and visited so many times, I never posted about the incident on social media or anywhere else. I was also extremely busy with work at my office back then, so I never got around to writing anything about it. But recently, these old photos popped up on my social media, and seeing them brought back so many memories. I thought, "Wow, I really used to love this place and come here all the time!" So even though this happened a long time ago, I wanted to finally share this review. So many years have passed, but I still hear people talking about this place as a great Italian restaurant. My friend also told me that they have a location in Sherman Oaks now. Whether it's the Melrose location or Sherman Oaks, I'm thinking I should visit again sometime soon when I'm craving Italian food. I'd love to see whether the food, atmosphere, and friendly service are still as wonderful as I remember them from years ago. Plus : And just recently, I thought about this restaurant again when Italian pasta was served for lunch at my office on Thursday. My company caters lunch for all 100 employees every day, and that day's Italian pasta reminded me of all the delicious pasta I used to have here. Note : Parking here is valet parking, but if you're lucky, you might be able to find street parking nearby.

The wine we had was recommended by the sommelier and was honestly some of the best we've had in the price range. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable with great recommendations. We took our kids to Disneyland and universal studios this week for vacation, and they both said the dinner was one of their favorite parts if that tells you anything! My husband got the wild boar ragu which was the best dish on the table. I got a alla'amatriciana dish - I'm sure I'm not spelling it right but it had smoked guanciale, tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and pecorino Romano. So good! My daughter got the lasagna and my other daughter got spaghetti in ragu. We all loved our food. We started with the bruschetta which was so fresh and came with arugula dressed with lemon and olive oil. We would 1000% come back here!

Angelini Osteria - Where they sat us. I don't even understand why they have tables on an incline. Very uncomfortable.
