The staff is friendly and willing to help anyone with anything. The campground has various types of campsites. They range from fully shaded to side by side pullthroughs. They also have a tent area reserved especially for the tent camper. There is a clean bath house which include showers. Each site provides electric and water, including the tent sites. Over all Springhill Campground and Pay Pit is clean, fun, family oriented and a very pleasant experience.

The roads are a little confusing if some of them are one way or not. The waterfall area is quiet and pretty. They had some picnic tables. There was a staircase to view it closer and the stairs were a little sketchy. The beach area was pretty wide and we found space. They have a little snack area and a dive center. They also have an inflatable obstacle course for purchase. The restrooms were messy and smelled. The beach was clean and they had trash cans. The quarry water was clear and the water was nice. They have primitive camp sites and electrical sites. We saw that most of the electrical sites seem to have full time residents there. Overall it's a great spot to check out and relax at.

The owners are very deliberate about keeping the environment relaxing and family friendly. They have lots of nice things for kids such as a swimming pool, playground, fishing pond, fields to play in, and a nature trail. Don't try to camp here if you're looking to have a loud party in your campsite! For families, you won't find a better place to bring your camper for a trip.

But really..... the attraction is the ownership and employees. These folks actually CARE about your stay and your experience! (Such a rare commodity these days!) Can't recommend this place enough! We wanted a quiet place, where we could rest and take a load off. Man! Did we ever find a hidden gem! The owners were super nice, as well as the seasonal folks who took us for a quick cart ride to see the Fallen Rock. This year, we wanted to get away for 10 days over the 4th of July weekend. We didn't think long before we remembered how much we loved this campground! They were so accommodating! We had the same spot of our one=night visit last year. We met many more of the seasonal folks, and their dogs (we brought ours with us this time!) We have already make a reservation to go in the fall next year for the covered bridge festival. In closing, this is the nicest, cleanest park we have stayed at to date. The owners have obviously put their hearts into this place. They feel like family. Oh, and they put on a fireworks shows that rivals the ones in DC!

We spent the night last night it was quite pleasant. There were a few lid and obnoxious people riding around yelling on a golf cart last night keeping everyone up. But thankfully the owners were on top of it. We took showers at the bathhouse and it was nice. They have serveral different amenities not found everywhere else and wonderful customer service. Prices are affordable. We have had a wonder time and will definitely come back. I would totally recommend!

The owners are friendly, and let us set up a large area for the tents, tables, cooking, etc. Some sites have water and electricity. There are plenty of trees, a pool, a pond, etc. Firewood and ice are available at decent prices. There seemed to be lots of families here, many with dogs, generally quiet. The kids can chase frogs, swim, play games, while the older folks talk/tell goofy stories. It's not far from Indiana Beach, places to fish, etc.

The weather? Absolutely perfect. Pretty sure someone pulled a few strings upstairs, because it was the kind of weather that makes you suspicious. ("Okay, who ordered the deluxe sunshine package?" ) Cheeky perks: * So peaceful you can actually hear yourself think... which is slightly terrifying if you travel with teenagers. * The views are so pretty you'll forget all about your Netflix queue. * Campfires taste 37% better here -- don't ask us why, it's science. We'll definitely be back -- unless the weather fairy calls in sick.
