I am so absolutely disgusted! I sat down to eat my food, I swallowed a fork full of rice when I saw something move over the filet mignon. I dropped my food when I realized the was a roach crawling on the meat. I kicked the box and the roach began crawling out from the gap. I took this picture To share with people before they go to this truck! I am so grossed out I have no idea whether or not I ate roaches. I brushed my teeth and gargled... I still feel dirty! Yuk!

    Chicken fried rice

This is chicken fried rice or just fried rice? Lol why is the chicken in literal not even cubes but slivers ??? It's mostly rice which would be fine if the chicken was actually normal size. Honestly the worker/owner whoever it is here also need wayyyyyy better customer service I know it's just a food truck but the two times I've been here now the customer service been hella sub par. Their fried rice is good but slightly salty & mad oil! It was $11 so I'm not thattttt upset but def not worth anymore than that.

"Steak" and three tiny pieces of lobster for $50... what a joke

Does this look like a $50 meal to you? Lol. I waited 35 minutes for this on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't even busy. One person in front of me. I wished the saving grace was that it tasted good but the food was super bland on top of it being an already tiny portion (don't even think about coming here hungry). Three tiny pieces of lobster. None of the chefs or staff seemed like they wanted to be there. I hate this new trend in dtla with all of these overpriced bachi trucks, I've tried all of them and this one is probably the worst...

Salmon & shrimp plate. Substitute chicken fried rice

This was a bit of a disappointment. One because I've tried other hibachi places & also because I had high hopes. Their hours are late night, I got my food around 11-11:15 after a Clipper game Saturday. THEY DO NOT HAVE PHONE IN ORDERS, instead (I believe) they're on grub hub.... it wasn't bad but it was a few things that's made it lose two stars. I've been on record in my reviews of other restaurants that I don't like the tail on the shrimp.. it was 6 shrimps, all tailed. The salmon was tough like chicken. Crispppp boi. Aside from that, it was a pretty decent meal. They ARE flavorful, AND their garlic butter is really good, along with their sauce (idk what kind of sauce it is) and tbh their RICE itself was fire. Fire enough for them to have the business they had. It was about a 40 min wait, I don't think it was worth it. But I'm not stopping anyone from getting it again. 3 and a half stars if I could.... [I ordered 2 sides of fried rice and veggies along with my shrimp & salmon plate w/ chicken fried rice, my total was $57 flat]

There food is so amazing! The staff keep you informed throughout the whole waiting process. The food is cooked fresh and hot

I'm actually pretty new to trying food trucks around LA but I know everyone raves about them- so when I saw a Hibachi one I of course had to try it.

It was quite cold that evening -- in the low 40s -- but she put on an incredible show for us. Highly entertaining with her sense of humor, ability to get our guests involved, and her impressive skills at the Teppanyaki grill. And the food tasted great! I rarely give bad reviews -- sometimes if I'm disappointed, I simply choose not to say anything at all. But after coming here for nearly three decades, I felt compelled to be honest about my experience. I also want to say that the wait staff has remained one of the best parts of this restaurant over the years. Many of the same familiar faces are still there, and they've always been lovely, attentive, and a pleasure. The atmosphere and service are still warm and welcoming, which makes this even more disappointing. I'm not sure what the new owner has in mind, but keeping loyal, long-time customers should be a top priority. I came in expecting the same quality and portions I've enjoyed for years and was highly disappointed when my crispy rice arrived at literally half the size it used to be, yet priced exactly the same. Honestly, I would rather see prices go up a dollar or two because of rising food costs than feel like I'm being served half the food for the same money. That's just not good business. To be fair, after I spoke with the manager, he did try to make it right, and I appreciated that. But the bigger question is, what happens the next time I come in? Will it be the same disappointment again? Or will there simply not be a next time? Loyal customers have supported this restaurant through its ups and downs over the years. In today's economy, people are being very selective about where they spend their money. The question is, do you want customers spending it here, or eventually choosing to go somewhere else where the quality, portions, and value have not declined so drastically?

I recently visited Hikari BBQ in Lomita, and it completely exceeded my expectations. We ordered the Omakase Course #4 along with a vegetable dish to balance everything out, and it ended up being the perfect combination. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious and worth every dollar. The Omakase Course #4 offered a great variety of high-quality meats and ingredients, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The vegetable dish was a great addition and helped round out the meal without taking away from the indulgent experience. One of my favorite parts of the experience was that after the shabu-shabu, they offer a shime (closing dish) option. Being able to finish the meal with either ramen or rice was such a thoughtful touch and really brought the whole dining experience together. It's the kind of detail that makes the meal feel complete. Between the quality of the food, the excellent service, and how filling the meal was, Hikari BBQ is easily a place I'd return to again and again. Will I be back? Absolutely. In fact, I'm already thinking about my next visit. If you've been debating whether to try it, consider this your sign to go. Highly recommended!
