The best attributes they have is that they are affordable and offer vegan sushi which I'm not sure if other places have options like that. I ordered the empanadas, spicy scallop roll, and caliente roll. All items were decent, but once again, not great. The sushi rolls were very small from what I'm used to, but had pretty good flavor. I would not order the empanadas again. They were listed as pork empanadas, so it was very shocking when I bit into it and it had an overwhelming sweet taste. Definitely not what you expect when ordering a savory dish. The dough was sweet and it had raisins inside which is not a smart move. I Door Dashed my order from Bachi last week and my steak was raw. I ordered the steak and scallops meal and was extremely disappointed. It was near closing when I ordered so when I called to inform the staff, there was no answer. I called the next day and spoke with the manager and was told that I should have called the same day. I explained that I did, but it was near closing and nothing was offered. I actually went in this past Saturday and ordered three chicken meals. While there, I spoke with the staff personally and showed them the photos of the raw meat. I was told that this is normal and they don't know why Door Dash doesn't give a temperature option. I have been a loyal customer for the past year. Today I received THE WORSE customer service experience I've ever received from the store manager. I called in for lunch and a coworker would be there to pick up. However, when she returned she advised WHILE SHE WAS THERE, if I called in to the restaurant cancel the order because she was physically there, to pay and pick up. They ignored that request and continued to make the food. They do not offer store credit as a solution to the problem. Best hibachi in Charlotte. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and they were all smiles. Our waiter was Eshai and she was so sweet. Very attentive and making sure we were okay. I give Bachi a full five stars. The service was excellent and the portions were comparable to the price. I absolutely loved the smoked salmon shashimi. It literally melted in my mouth and was bursting with flavor. I also got a caliente crunch roll which was also delicious. Bachi WAS my favorite Japanese restaurant until today. I have eaten here since they opened. I actually had been eating here and picking up to-go at least 3 times per week. The food was better about a year ago. In the past month or two I started having issues with the food being over cooked. The first issue was about 6 weeks ago when I was dining in and the chicken was burnt. I don't mind eating it slightly more well done, but it had a bitter burnt taste. I politely asked if they could recook it. The waitress came out & told me the manager said he would do it this time, but next time I had an issue he wouldn't recook it (he would just not charge me on the bill). I thought that was odd to tell a frequent customer- so I asked her to send the manager over to my table so I could talk to him. I asked him why he was being this way because I'm a good customer. He shrugged it off and tried to blow it over. He remade the dish and it was good. Today, I ordered a to go plate. I had a few errands to run, and I live about 20 min from the restaurant- so it was about 1.5 hr after I picked up the food before I had a chance to eat it. When I opened it up, the chicken & vegetables were black. They were burnt, but I decided to suck it up and try to manage. It tasted awful- very burnt bitter taste. I wasn't happy because it was $12 but I was going to just forget it (partly because they were rude when I sent the dish back a month ago). My son told me I should not waste money like that because it was not right....so I called Bachi. I politely told them the situation and she wanted me to come over & let them remake it. I told her I had to work this afternoon & maybe they could put my name down for next time. She told me that I would need to take a photo of the food & bring with me to the restaurant the next time so they could see what was wrong with it (????). As ridiculous as this was- I agreed. I told them I would. Then about 5 min later, another woman from Bachi called and said the manager told her he cooked the food & knows it was not burnt. I told her politely that I disagree. She told me he said he would recook it for me the next time that I was there but it would be the last time they were going to serve me. I was dumbfounded. I asked them, so that is how you are going to do me?, a frequent customer. She said yes because we have tried to accommodate you and your requests. I said I don't send food back that often and the last time was over a month ago. Your going to do this over a $12 plate? She said come on in and we will make it one last time for you, and I told her don't bother and hung up on her. This place had potential but not with customer service like this! read more

Honestly, Bachi was just okay. I like TinTin's hibachi and prices much better. The place has a fast food feel to it, but charges sit down dinner prices. It was very clean and bright, but awfully loud! The extra tall ceilings made everything echo. As for the food, my edamame was good, but it was served with my lunch instead of an appetizer. I did like that they served a salad, noodles and rice with my meal. Sometimes it is really hard for me to chose between rice and noodles so I was pumped to have both. My hibachi chicken was a tad dry which made me kick myself for not ordering just veggies instead. I don't think I will be back despite being able to walk there from my job. I would opt to drive to Toyama or TinTin for sure. They are just better. read more

To order pork and receive vinegar with it was a crime.I just found the Filipino dishes to not be flavorful and a lot of the standard dishes are not on the menu, which is disappointing. The sushi is okay. It is the best sushi I have found in North Charlotte, but that doesn't say much. If you eat inside, be prepared for some food to come out fast and others to come out slowly.
