I was really exited to try this place unfortunately I ended up waiting a pretty long time for underwhelming food. My chicken was over cooked so it was really tough. The sauce could barely stick to it. My mixed vegetables consisted of one piece of undercooked broccoli, one carrot and 4956264 little pieces of onion. Called in sushi order for Total of 4 California rolls with no wasabi/ginger, and a tempura roll with sriracha on the side. When I picked it up the one California roll was in the same container as the tempura roll which has sriracha on it and wasabi/ginger in the container which was in front of the California roll! I told them of the mistake that they made, and was told it would take 20 minutes to remake because other orders are in front of mine! I told them it was unexceptable. They could care less. I told them I specifically order it because we don't like the taste of the wasabi and ginger juice and the sriracha is to spicy. Was was told I had to wait another 20 minutes or I could get my money back!! Seems like they don't care to please their customers or want them back! read more

I have been coming to Bachi since it opened (at least once or twice a month) . I was super excited about getting dinner for takeout from here on a Tuesday, but boy was I disappointed. The food is usually very good and I rave about to others, especially the It Must Be Science Roll! Today we ordered the chicken meals which are great prices, but the chicken and noodles were dry. Our noodles looked as though the were spaghetti noodles tossed in pepper, and the rice was a bit overcooked. I was ok with it, because the sushi is usually on point. My roll was very mediocre (I'm talking a dash of hot sauce on a rainbow roll) and I get the same thing every time , and it's usually AMAZING. And, to make matters worse, I asked for extra sauce, and double checked and asked if she put it in the bag, she said yes, and there was only once sauce per meal when I got home . I hope it's just because I came on a weekday instead of my usual Friday or Saturday. I will come back, but if it's the same, I'm going to have to find a new spot which makes me sad!!! I really love supporting family run businesses, but not when I know they're capable of more and they aren't consistent, I can't do it. Do better Bachi, I know you can. read more

Whenever I try a new sushi place, I always get the spicy salmon roll so I can compare apples to apples in evaluating the quality of the sushi. Bachi doesn't even have a spicy salmon roll on the menu. They ended up substituting salmon in their spicy tuna roll. Aside from being ~$3 more than the average price of a spicy salmon roll in the area, it wasn't that great. The sushi's consistency was kind of soggy, the salmon was warm, and there was no spicyness to it. As far as the hibachi, I don't know why they even asked for how I wanted the steak cooked because it came very well done and tough even though I asked for medium. I ate the steak without any of the rest of stuff and I swear they didn't season it at all. I wouldn't be so critical of them if it wasn't for the price. They are trying to be a premium restaurant by charging above market prices for both sushi and hibachi. I do not think that Bachi is as good as, much less any better than, a regular old hibachi restaurant down the street; and their charging you a premium. read more

Awesome food I had hibachi shrimp everything taste fresh and full of flavor! Really great price for the amount of food. I didn't even finish half of it and I still have a good amount for left overs! This restaurant is NOT WORTH IT!! They take your money and sell you stale food. I've tried to give them a chance 3 times. First time, the rice was stale/crunchy, second time the yummy sauce separated and looked like it was sitting out for days, and the third time the sushi tasted old and chewy!! Bachi is really yummy and the people working there are very friendly. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. I took off two stars due to there not being any online ordering system. The only way to order is over the phone or in store. It seems that their phone always has a busy signal and sometimes it can take you 15-20 mins to get through to someone. read more

I really hate that I had to give this restaurant a one star. Bachi was recommended to me by my Yelp Elite friends so I was expecting a great experience. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. I am eating a vegan diet at the moment and I was very pleased to see they had a vegan section on the menu. I ordered the fried cauliflower, a side salad, a side of veggies, and the King Liam sushi roll which was fried plantain, carrots, cucumber, vegan cream cheese, topped with a spicy vegan mayo. Those were the exact ingredients listed on the menu. When I got the sushi roll, I ate one piece of the sushi and immediately knew something was wrong. My throat started to itch and my tongue started to swell. I called the waitress over and told her I was having an allergic reaction and I needed to see the menu again. I wanted to ensure that I didn't over look any ingredients that were listed. Upon the review of the menu, I asked her to ask management what ingredients were in the vegan cream cheese and mayo. Come to find out the vegan mayo is based with tree nuts. I immediately panicked because I have a nut allergy. I am not deathly allergic, but I do have tongue swelling, throat itching, and an upset stomach whenever I come in contact with any kind of tree nut. I told the cook that it needs to state on the menu that this menu item contains tree nuts because there are a lot of people that have a tree nut allergy. I took and Allegra because that's all I had at the moment and the itching and swelling stop within 30 min. I finished the rest of my food items. When the check came I noticed that the sushi roll was still listed on my check. I asked the waitress why was it still on my check and I sent it back immediately after the first piece AND I experienced an allergic reaction. The waitress said that she would have to talk with the manager to see if they would take it off. The manager came out and spoke to me from behind the counter. I felt that was extremely rude. The least he could have done was come over to where we were seated. He then proceeded to say that I should have told them I have a nut allergy before ordering. I have never in my life been to a place that doesn't list nuts, or "may contain tree nuts" on menu items that indeed have nuts in them. Then he went and pulled the container of the vegan mayo and showed the ingredients. I'm still trying to figure out his reasoning for showing me a package that was in your kitchen that as a consumer I would of had no idea contained nuts. I flat out told him I wasn't paying $9 for a roll that I had one piece of and sent back because of their negligence. He then stated he thought I ate the whole roll. So clearly there's a lack of communication between you and your staff. I work for public health and I will definitely be contacting my colleagues in environmental health to address this issue. I have pictures of the menu and even took a to go menu to show that tree nuts aren't listed on their menu. Had I had a more severe reaction and had to go to the hospital this would of easily been a lawsuit. Despite the fact that I had this reaction, the way the situation was handled was subpar and way below standards. My friend enjoyed her food and thought it tasted good. Everything was delicious. We shared the pork gyoza which was some of the best I ever had. The ribs were super tender and flavorful. Even my toddlers couldn't get enough of them. They had a special of bbq pork skewers that had amazing flavor and again the meat was very tender. We tried several sushi rolls including the scallop mix, yellow tail scallion roll and bachi roll. Kitchen allowed an altered sashimi dish for my little one for which I am very grateful as all she wanted was sashimi salmon and rice for supper. Lechon was cooked perfect and the Ube Coconut Shake was delicious. Sushi rolls left a lot to be desired - they were not my favorite, but everything else was great! I called ahead of time to see if they had gluten free options (which they do) and was happy to hear their all of the hibachi items are gluten free. I ordered and specifically said gluten free and it didn't seem like a problem. They brought us out salads that looked good but I wasn't sure about the dressing being gluten free so I asked and she confidently said it was gluten free. I'm about half way through when another person came up to me and told me that it was in fact NOT gluten free. I have an allergy so I immediately stop eating it and tell them..all they did was offer me a salad with a different dressing...the food was good but I will not be returning. I'm already sick from eating the gluten and extremely disappointed in how the entire situation was handled. read more

Not sure if it wasn't that good because of pandemic times but we ordered takeout and was kinda disappointed. I got the Chirashi bowl and it was so small! Some of the fish tasted really fresh but other pieces tasted very fishy and not fresh. This was $16.50 and just so not worth it. Also had Chicken entree and it was so dry and really lacked flavor. We also tried the shrimp entree and that was actually very good, the shrimp had a nice char and cooked well. The eel and the salmon in the chirashi were both good but the other fish really did not taste fresh. I may try again when this pandemic is over, but def stick to the cooked food! read more

I've been coming to Bachi since they first opened. I'm saddened to leave a bad review but it's deserved. The past few visits, my hibachi snapper has been over cooked with burnt "breaded skin" and tough. Today I decided to call and let them know about the recurring issue. After being put on hold on and off for 7 minutes the best they could offer me was a side order of snapper. They did not offer to replace the entire meal that was ultimately ruined due to them overcooking the snapper. I told the person over the phone that replacing only the snapper the next time I came in was not fair as I would've liked to enjoy my ENTIRE meal all at once but they are suggesting I pay for the rice and veggies ??? WOW. I even asked to just be refunded the difference of the snapper meal and a veggie plate since that's all I ate and I was told no they can only offer me another piece of snapper. The person on the phone was rude and did not apologize for the inconvenience. I hung up and will not be going back. Shame on you to the Bachi team member and manager on duty today for treating a frequent customer like this and this is not the first error made of their behalf that I have overlooked. read more

The food was delicious and so flavorful; I love hibachi and everything was freshly made; the veggies and the seafood. Just tried Bachi for the first time. Went here because it sounded interesting and they offer Vegan dishes. Had the tempura vegetables, crispy cauliflower wings and vegan fried rice to go. The Tempura Vegetables was the best item of the three. It was crisp and light. Not oily. The dipping sauce was disgustingly sweet and I just discarded it. Cauliflower wings were just a tad too big in size, which created a soggy affect in the end. They lacked any flavor. However, the dipping sauce was nice. It really needed some spice to bring up a notch. I wonder if the wings would be better had I experienced it right away? Nonetheless they were tasteless and soggy when I had them. The fried rice was just ok. Overall my food lacked flavor. I do not see myself going back. It's a shame. Really was hoping to love this food since they consciously offer a vegan menu. I never write reviews that are bad so that's why I couldn't give it one star. The service was fantastic, I had a lovey waitress that took care of me and made sure I was perfect the whole time. This is where I had to rate so low, I ordered some raw fish and I'm currently a sushi chef myself, the fish was a little warm and I knew I should've sent it back but went ahead and ate all the lovely nigiri I had ordered. Within 5 hours I was sick and vomiting, I didn't eat anything else but this and knew from the jump what it was. I hate putting any low review up but I was just dealt a bad card that's all, it's all in the business. Sadly I was just the small outlier.
