I've been to 3 different locations and each has the same aesthetic, friendly staff and fast service, warm atmosphere, all the samples you want (and the patient and happy staff to give you those samples) and of course the best gelato choices you could ask for! I'm particularly excited for their new flavors that have been coming out - on this trip I tried a few outside their standard including chocolate pistachio crunch and Liliana's strawberry cheesecake and both were really great and creamy with nice balanced flavor. It is a super cute little ice store on a very bustling street. It's bright and inviting and the people who worked there were lovely. They offered us multiple tasters which I loved since most places don't do tasters anymore or limit you to two. I tried about 4 flavors before settling on cookies and cream. A close runner up would have been sorbet, either the strawberry or raspberry. While the flavors were excellent I'd hesitate to go back and the prices are very high. The single scoop of one flavor in a cup is tiny!! And charging $7.45 for that is absurd. The chocolate chip cookie was $6.45. I know prices are increasing everywhere but for these prices the flavors better be out of this world and I'm in no rush to go back. read more

This review is for their affogato. I had it with stracciatella and it was fine. I wish their espresso had a stronger bold taste. It tasted weak so it didn't balanced well with the ice cream. I hope they can change their espresso strength. In the month of April, you can get an affogato for half off Monday-Wednesday starting at 1pm to 4pm, I believe. One of my favorite places to come to for dessert after having dinner in Sawtelle! They have a variety of different flavors ranging from sweet and fruity. The gelato itself is rich and flavorful. They have a variety of sizes and offer both cone and cup. The smallest is piccolo which you can get two flavors. You're able to get up to three flavors with the regular size. My go to flavors are strawberry and raspberry, it's perfectly refreshing, fruity, and delicious. Not too heavy which I appreciate! The store itself is clean, bright, and cute. The service has always been amazing every time I've been with friendly staff who offer samples and give insight. They have plenty of seating outdoors! Such a cute, aesthetic spot for a sweet treat! The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. Since it was my first time, they were kind enough to offer samples because they have so many flavors to choose from. I tried quite a few, and honestly all of them were delicious, which made it really hard to pick just one. They also offer cookies and brownies. I've been here a few times now. The portion size of your cone really depends on who serves it. There's no consistency to the size and they don't weigh anything. It's a guessing game ! Tonight this young lady helped me and it was so absorbently small for $12.25 for a single waffle cone. At least give people what they pay for! The amount of gelato that was in my cone was pathetic. The gelato tasted just as good, and the overall experience was even better. The store here is bigger, and the seating area is much nicer, which made it more enjoyable. I loved all the flavors I tried. If you're a fan of dark chocolate and Nutella, I highly recommend the Cioccolato Belga and Crema Tortino. Both were rich and delicious. The matcha drinks they have weren't bad either, just not my personal favorite, so I probably wouldn't get those again. I also really recommend their pastries!! My sister loved their pecan Pie Bar and I really loved their Oatmeal Lace!!! Everything is on the pricier side, but definitely worth it as a once in a while treat. I'll definitely be coming back. I got a Piccolo (small) size, which allows up to 2 flavors ($7.45), and added a Waffle Chip ($0.85). On a previous visit, I got the Piccolo with Pistachio Cream lining the cup ($8.95). This time, I chose the plain Bacio di Latte sweet cream and the special flavor Buttercream Pretzel. They are both delicious! How lucky could I be to be in the area for their pre-grand opening! I was eating lunch next door and wanted some ice cream for dessert. They were doing their pre-grand opening for friends & family, but they let in folks from the general public for free ice cream! How could I say no to that?! The interior feels quite glamorous! My goodness, the gelato is so smooth and creamy!! You can really see the smoothness of it when they scoop it out of the tub. I got it on a waffle cone that was freshly dipped in Nutella and lined with hazelnuts. Absolutely fantastic all around.
