We couldn't make the drive from Zuma beach Malibu last Friday and ended up mistakenly ordering more than we could eat ... so our delivery guy picked 5 QUARTS of ice cream. Tasting this ice cream was so decadent that image after image from my past descended like the scenes from Ratatouille where the critic Anton Ego goes back to his childhood. We gladly gave up a quart of ice cream away as our freezer door was jamming up so badly that using my leg to push it close wasn't working. I can't remember the flavor we gave away, but I can tell you the remainder 4 quarts was better after a week than anything I can buy locally. A true shame because supporting the local business is my priority but the local shop in Point Dume is beyond mediocre lately. This ice cream is way better than Grom Italy, yes it was gelato but the ingredients were the stars not the sugar, and the same is true with Bacio di Latte. Best Pistachio ice cream outside of San Gimignano, Italy, amazing Hazelnut and next favorite is the Belgian chocolate. We just tasted Crema Torino and is like we just discovered our new sweet. I am so glad they have several locations around LA, and ultimately this business is going to be around because their ice creams are great and the service is excellent. Initially we dropped by the location on Sawtelle and the kid manning the shop was focused, polite and knowledgeable to entertain our curiosity as we had no idea about this ice cream. Bacio di Latte is a real one. My daughter and I come here weekly--it's our sweet spot in Santa Monica. There are tons of flavors to choose from (almost overwhelming in the best way), and every bite is super smooth, lite and creamy. I usually go for something chocolatey and nutty in a waffle cone with Nutella and nuts. The cone itself was perfectly crisp. Love that you can sample flavors for free! The space is bright, clean, and welcoming. Indoor seating and a few outdoor tables make it a great place to enjoy your gelato. Service is always kind and helpful--sometimes a little slow due to tastings, so plan for a 15-30 minute visit. If you are in the area, get your Euro slow food on at Bacio di Latte! read more

Obsessed! It really is a problem how close this place is to me. From the moment I tasted that delicious buttercream pretzel, I was hooked. The pricing is outrageous for ice cream but that doesn't seem to stop me. I keep going back to get more. So, stay away unless you want to get addicted to their delicious creamy flavors. From strawberry shortcake to caramel coffee, they have it all. It also doesn't help that they have such welcoming employees and that they provide your doggo with their own ice cream. read more

This place is truly the one! There are so many flavors to choose from -- it's almost overwhelming in the best way. Every bite is incredibly smooth and creamy, like a feather gently brushing down your throat. I went with a waffle cone with Nutella Nuts. The cone was delicious with a nice crisp, but the Nutella flavor on its own was a bit too sweet for me. Buonissimo! I also tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch -- a perfect blend of peanut butter, chocolate, and caramel. It had that slightly crunchy "tree-tree" texture (you know what I mean if you've had it!). Plus, the staff even scooped a little extra piece of chocolate on top as a special touch! Then there's the Cioccolato & Menta (Mint Chocolate Chip) -- my go-to flavor wherever I go. Omg! We just went to All'Antico Vinaio Santa Monica across the street and needed a sweet treat to end the night and Bacio di Latte was absolutely perfect! Shoutout to Yvonne, Jared, and Lexi for the imma image service! We sampled all the flavors and were absolutely delighted!! This was my first time trying Bacio di Latte's gelato and I was not disappointed. The hazelnut flavor was SOOOO good!! It was very nutty and not overly sweet. I like the decor and setup of the store, and the bench space they have outside of the shop. Service was superb; the servers were very patient and helpful in explaining each flavor and letting us try samples of them. Definitely come try this place out! read more

Beautiful place and delicious gelato!! Me and my sister shared the 4 scoop gelato. Pretty decent price. Service was great, we were able to try all the flavors we wanted and he gave great recommendations! I think about this place all the time definitely need to visit again soon! Bacio has finally made its way to Santa Monica! The unique and pleasant thing about their gelato is it's made fresh every morning (as the service staff pointed out). They use Clover (brand) milk which tends to be better in quality than most conventional milks. The flavor choices are good, depending on what you like. They also have non-dairy sorbet options. This is one of the newer locations, with beautiful design, and friendly staff (who I think should be using ice cream scoop spoons instead of the little spatulas they use that gets gelato all over :-) ) read more

Bacio di Latte is hands down my absolute favorite ice cream shop!!! Nothing else even comes close! Every single flavor is top tier, creamy, and packed with incredible taste. My personal favorite is the Peanut Butter Crunch, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here -- every flavor I've tried has been insane. The gelato was absolutely delicious here. I got a small cup with strawberry cheesecake and one of the hazelnut flavors, and they were both amazing. The shop is tidy and cute, with lots of seating. The staff were very nice as well. You can try a little spoonful of the flavors before buying. It's definitely very pricey, as mine was almost $8 for a tiny cup, but it's so delicious that it's definitely worth it to buy from time to time! read more

The two brothers set out from their home town Milan, and drove across Italy to dive into the secrets of traditional Italian gelato recipes. What they do make well is coffee. I love dark black coffee and they have that and more and it is very good. Their prices are high-- I think too high. They do have a decent selection on hand. I would go there for coffee, but I won't bother with their donuts anymore. I really hope they work on making sure all donuts are fresh. Their cornbread is good. I have a friend who wanted to try them so we went back and I still found them stale tasting, but great coffee.

I will definitely not be returning. I almost never leave bad reviews, but I cannot stress enough how disappointing and overpriced this was. Do not eat here.
