We rolled out of bed and found ourselves in one of the better breakfast buffets we've ever found ourselves part of. LetterPress is the Hilton Buena Vista's marquee restaurant, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a family friendly setting with nice touches. We made a reservation well in advance just in case but the place seems large enough where walking in shouldn't be much of an issue. After sitting down we got right back up as we opted for the breakfast buffet, which at $30 is an absolute steal. Let's get into what we got: We started off with carbs: pancakes and waffles. Both of which were okay with there being. A decent wait on the waffle machine. Unless you're craving either we would say it's not the best bet to stack up on. For meat they have a lot of options from bacon to pork sausage to chicken sausage. The bacon was alright and the pork sausage was the standard small ones you find just about everywhere; the chicken sausage though was delicious, a nice sweet flavor to it and large. They also have eggs and breakfast potatoes alongside the meat, the eggs being meh and the potatoes being pretty good. The better egg option is the omelette bar which is fantastic. There are probably about 20 different ingredients you can toss into them and it is well worth the wait. Oatmeal is another carb offered and that's self-serve so you can make it how you like. Many different pastries are also available so you can get a fix on your sweet tooth (all were pretty good). Last, for drinks we got chocolate milk, coffee, and juices from their self-serve juice machine. For that we got mango and apple juices. Again, for the price of $30 this is just an unbelievable deal, especially for families looking to get growing kids fed in as quick and convenient a place as possible. The added convenience of it being close to the pool and just downstairs adds another layer to it. While we can only testify to their breakfast buffet this does also look like a great option to take up on their actual menu. Stayed at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace recently, and had both dinner and breakfast at Letterpress. The food was delicious both for dinner and for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and very kind very attentive. The restaurant has a beautiful view over the lake, which is beautiful in the morning as well as at sunset. At dinner time, it was very slow not many guests I guess because of its location next to Disney Springs. But the dinner was delicious so if you are visiting the palace, definitely give Letterpress a try. read more

This is such a great breakfast buffet! We enjoyed this very much, it's usually $30/adults but for this month of Santa it's $32 ti have Santa greet you at the door and visit your table. They have fresh made to order omelets, Brussel sprouts, fruits. Waffles , etc. they have a variety of juices like cranberry and mango as well. What really wowed the family was their honey comb! What a great touch. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. This place is bright and spacious. The lake view is a big plus. It's very comfortable here. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I wasn't sure we would like it, usually hotel food is generic but we were all pleasantly surprised! Wait staff was nice and very helpful ( except day two they forgot to come back and get the payment). I liked my French toast so much I went back the next day for it. I got there right as bfast closed but the host asked the kitchen if they could still do it and they did and it was excellent again!!! I got the French toast which comes with very good fresh strawberries and blueberries all were ripe and a good size. The toast was lightly toasted and crunchy but the inside was soft and flavorful. Loved the maple syrup, no need for butter! The guys, (there was 5 of us) raved about how good the burgers were. my husband had the chicken BLT which was moist and very good as well. Loved the season fries just a bit crispy with good seasoning. Got a nice table overlooking the small lake and watched some critters run around the other side of the pond. Letterpress is the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace's flagship restaurant. It's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and for my review, I'm reviewing the dinner option. In my opinion, hotel restaurants can be either good or great but you're paying for the convenience of not having to travel offsite. Since I didn't have a car and relied on Uber/Lyft for my travel, I opted to try it out. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. All the staff are polite and I didn't have any issues with service whatsoever. I came fairly early for dinner, so it was nearly empty. The dinner menu is very small with limited items (one page). For someone that loves food, it was hard to choose what I wanted to it since I wasn't craving anything in particular. Ultimately I chose the Daily Butcher's Choice Cut of Steak (NY Strip) topped with House Steak Butter and a side of Creamy Spinach. The NY Strip came with a small mixed greens salad with a vinaigrette and served on top roasted broccolini and carrots. The steak was ordered medium rare but came out medium well. I would have complained about it but I was starving. I barely ate anything all day and all I wanted was to satiate my appetite and go to bed. Despite being overcooked, it was a very good steak. It wasn't overly dry and was seasoned well. Despite just being sides, I enjoyed all my choice of sides: the mixed greens, creamy spinach, and the roasted broccolini and carrots. The mixed greens were freshing and tangy, perfect for this hot Florida Weather. The creamy spinach came in a bowl topped with roasted, minced garlic, piping hot and delicious. The roasted broccolini and carrots were not overcooked, lightly charred, and tender. Overall I enjoyed my meal at Letterpress. It's got really good food, service, and ambiance. Although the price is relatively high, it's not any higher than any of the full-service restaurants at Disney Springs. read more

Came here for breakfast while staying at the hotel. Much to my surprise, it was breakfast with Santa! They gave my little one a nice popit bracelet and coloring page with crayons. This place is bright and airy with lots of windows that overlooks the water. Its a nice view. Our waiter was efficient, clearing out our plates, but had to track them to get us some water and soda. He wasn't the friendliest guy I must say, just here to collect his wages and tips, imo. The buffet is $28 pp and $15 for kids. Lots of variety of food from scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, crispy potatoes, made to order eggs and omelets, waffle maker, loads of fruits and breads/pastries, and juices (mango!). No complaints at all (maybe wish they had Mickey waffles!), and come hungry! You will be stuffed. My husband and I were staying at the Hilton on a Friday night and decided to have dinner at this restaurant on the groumd floor of the hotel. It was very convenient and very good. We were seated at a table overlooking the water. The view was great. Our waiter took our drink orders fairly quickly. They have soups, salads, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I opted for the shrimp Alfredo dish. It had linguini pasta with Alfredo sauce, three large shrimp, broccolini, and tomatoes. It was a very good dish and a good portion. My husband had the catch of day, which was Mahi Mahi, in a cream sauce, over asparagus and peppers. He said it was also very tasty. When I travel I usually get out of the hotel for dining, but this time I was here on business and decided to have lunch and dinner here as I did not have my own transportation. Despite the spa icon dining area, it was almost empty when I went there for lunch and dinner. Both times I got good service from my server. They were polite. The only disappointment I had was the menu, I wish they had more items to choose from. Lunch especially is on the same one page menu as breakfast. But my club sandwich was fantastic so everything worked out great! If you want a meal in a quiet environment during your vacation this place is for you. Well.... That was disappointing, both in service and food. There were 4-5 people around the host stand when I walked in. They were training a new employee, but 3 people were giving instructions and the interaction with me was awkward. The place was empty and I was asked where I would like to sit, when I indicated I didn't care.... I was sat next to a pillar with no view. One of the water glasses on the table was dirty and had something stuck to it. I ordered the half roasted chicken.The chicken skin was good as was the jus... but it didn't make up for about half of it being inedibly dry and flavorless. The broccolini was overcooked, mushy and cold. Parts of the chicken was also cold. When the waiter returned (I ate what I could on the quicker side, solo diner), I wasn't asked how it was - just if I wanted the check or dessert.... I took the check and left quickly & returned to my room to eat a hot dog pastry I picked up at a bakery earlier. It was much better! read more

If you need a quiet, calm breakfast while staying at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace, Letterpress is a good option. It's a little expensive for the continental breakfast, but if you have kids five and under, they eat free so it may be worth it. They have a spread of food from eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit and even an omelet bar. They serve coffee and have apple and orange juice. They can even make waffles as part of the continental breakfast. Service is friendly, the space spacious and it's well-decorated. We decided to stay in on our arrival since it was kinda of messy with a little rain and we were not in the mood to do planes, trains and automobiles to get to a park. It was nice and quiet but I was surprised still at the number of people here for a hotel restaurant. We were sat in a nice booth next to the windows. Our server was right there with water and menus. We started with a few cocktails which our server had to go upstairs to the lobby bar to get. They were made well; even Deb's special request. We started with the house chopped salad. Large portion. Could be an entree if you add a protein. Lots of great flavors and the dressing was pretty flavorful. Next we had the steak special. New York strip. Cooked perfect but needed a little salt. Cream corn was delicious. Green beans with onions really good. Overall dinner was pretty good! Food was all really good at a reasonable price given we were near Disney. We met up with family staying at the Hilton hotel where this restaurant is located, while we were in Disney Springs on New Year's Day and it was packed so we decided to give this place a try. This place not disappoint, the half chicken was perfectly tender, flavorful and juicy, as were the vegetables it came with and their signature sauces were absolutely delish! The chopped salad was huge and flavorful too! The prices were very reasonable especially with the quality of food, felt like a deal. The ambiance was very modern and quaint like a cozy library feel. Our favorite was the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for $10 but tasted $20 worthy. Will be coming back . Service was good, Grace was our server and it was only her working kudos. read more

Located inside of the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, it offers great dining options without having to leave and face the brutal tourist traffic. Great staff and great food. Tonight we ordered the Pimento Cheese Dip for an app. For the entree, we ordered NY Strip steak and the BBQ Spiced Shrimp and Grits. The Pimento Cheese deep was rich and creamy. The diced pickles added a nice acidic note. We requested the steak cooked medium and arrived at the table perfectly cooked. It was a bit salty and over-seasoned, but was tender and juicy. The BBQ spiced shrimp and grits were made with Anson Mills grits. They were smooth and creamy. The shrimp was cooked nicely and the whole dish overall had a nice spiciness too it. Upon initial review of the Letterpress, the location and setting are absolutely stunning. The host is friendly and the seating is clean but sleek. Moving into the meal, it took about twenty minutes to be greeted by our server (this was because me and my partner have to get up to get the host). It took about thirty minutes to get our food and drinks. An additional twenty minutes for the bread only after we had received our appetizers. The food tasted great but my soup was a bit cold. First time visiting this place for magical dining. It was kind of difficult to find because it's located on the 1st floor of the Hilton and our GPS totally confused us. We arrived on time for our 7pm reservations ( the place was practically empty) which made us super nervous. We waited about 5 min before we were seated. The decor is nice and casual with the actual theme "letterpress" throughout. Our server was nice with a great knowledge of the menu. The bread service was just regular. I am not convinced that the rolls were baked in-house or pre made and warmed. We wanted to try the gumbo, but they were out so we settled for the Mac n cheese which was delicious and the Caesar salad, which was also delicious. My husband ordered and extra side of their wings and he said they were kind of bland. The star of the show were the entrees. OMG the yellow tail snapper is a must! It was amazing! Even the presentation was superb! We also ordered the Shrimp n grits. It was super delicious. Desserts were ok, nothing unexpected. The award goes to the Yellow Tail snapper dish! Pretty hotel restaurant located inside The Buena Vista Palace hotel. The afternoon lunch is around $20 for the buffet and it reminds me of a cruise ship buffet. A soft drink or tea is included with the last much price. The food looks really good and you can pick and choose what you like. There were great salads and desserts. The entree meats were okay, but really enjoyed the dessert area with various cakes, cupcakes, and other offerings. This is a pretty place to eat lunch and it offers and upscale look. If you're in the Hotel this is a solid place to go for lunch when you're craving variety. read more

This restaurant is just terrible. I'm staying at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace now, and I've had breakfast and dinner at the Letterpress. The oatmeal was a gelatinous mass served with a tablespoon of pecans, a tablespoon of raisins and some brown sugar. I've had better instant oats. And the bill with coffee was over $20. Dinner was a quinoa bowl that was nearly without taste. The broccoli was undercooked and hard as a tree stump. Save your time, taste buds and money. read more

The Letterpress is the perfect restaurant for a hotel, and it's located in the Hilton across the street from Disney Springs. The customer service is excellent and the food is really good too. And to top it off, on Sundays, they have a brunch where Disney characters come and hang out and you can take a bunch of pictures with your kids! The only thing we've ordered here are from the sandwich section of the menu. The Southern Drawl Burger is excellent, it has fried onions, fried green tomato, and you can add egg for and extra $2, which we definitely recommend. My wife, our daughter, and I were on our way to Disney Springs, to dine at Maria and Enzo's to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. However, the weather was not cooperating; and, it looked like we were "stuck" in the hotel. Speaking with the concierge, my wife learned of "Letterpress," the hotel's restaurant, which also served a Character breakfast on Sunday. Not expecting much; and, unable to reserve a table, we headed downstairs after a small glass of The Prisoner Wine Company's "Derange." We were seated at a nice table, away from the window; but, close enough to enjoy the view. My wife and I started with a "New Fashion" and a "Luk's Mule" variations on our typical cocktail order. Our daughter ordered the Butcher's Cut, a New York Strip, medium rare; I ordered the Whole Snapper (yellowtail; and, it was legit!); and, my wife ordered the Shrimp and Grits. Everything was cooked perfectly; the fish was one of the best seafood examples I've had in a very long time... it was scaled, butterflied, fried, and served atop "dirty rice" with blackeyed peas and decent seasoning. It was absolutely delicious. Desserts were reasonably priced and well-portioned (not overly large); and, my wife enjoyed her Creme Brulee; our daughter enjoyed her Chocolate Fondon (lava cake) with ice cream; and, I genuinely enjoyed the Key Lime Pie, albeit was served in a mason jar. John provided excellent service. The manager stopped by to check that everything was going well. We enjoyed watching the rain; and, noticed folks were out in the pool, so we decided to venture out after dinner, despite the inclement weather. The next morning, we stopped in for the complimentary continental (cold buffet, as my wife and I have Hilton "Gold" status); and, our daughter just had coffee. Service was exceptional; the wait was long; the characters were fun; and, their "handler" was an extraordinary individual from Iceland, named Johnathan. I definitely recommend Letterpress for the character breakfast AND dining while staying at the Beuna Vista Palace, or for a nice meal locally. It is worth the drive! read more

Stayed at the Palace for the weekend and, while breakfast was decent each morning, we, a party of 7, had dinner there Saturday night that was, honestly a bit shocking. First of all it was empty when we arrived at 6 PM and throughout the duration that we were there possibly 4 more 2-3 person tables arrived. While our server was very sweet, her inexperience shown through with the time it took to get initial waters and take our order. Additionally, we asked a couple of questions that she couldn't answer so she was to ask the Manager, but she forgot until we reminded her 40 minutes later. speaking of time, after ordering we waited for food, ANY food, for over an hour. They finally did bring one item out, though. . . . my daughter's macaroni and cheese side that was to come with her dinner - except no other food came out for another 20-25 minutes. One of our party was livid and went to speak to someone, anyone, but could only find the guy at the entry desk. When he was told of our upset, he responded with "well she's new" . .. but my question is this, then. . . is she also responsible for cooking? and if she needs help, GET IT FOR HER. It wasn't her fault, other than her inexperience. Finally got my dinner and was not happy with It - in fact it was horrible. A couple of our party had nice looking steaks, but I found that they were so tough they couldn't eat most of them. Of course there was no manager to be found nor did anyone, including the guy we made aware of our upset, stop by to inquire. While initially we went to the hotel restaurant because we were whipped from being out in the sun and pool the entire day, we also didn't want to spend an overabundance of $ in the Disney Springs area as we had the night before. When we got our bill it was at least as much as we would have spent across the street with out the enjoyment of the meal and service. All in all, the restaurant and hotel should be ashamed of themselves for this establishment. If you can't do it right, close it down. Now I know why no one was there eating. . . Dined here December 27 & 28, 2019 and January 2, 2020. There is a large variety of food and for $7 you can upgrade to the "hot food". The waitstaff bring you the coffee and orange juice. Really enjoyed the fresh fruit (esp. the blood oranges), muffins, cured meats & fruit juices. Apparently, the donut wall was very popular as well (and possibly all devoured by 9am).
