My picture does not do justice !!! Brisket, sausage, coleslaw and creamed corn.

Came in before my flight back to NY. Grabbed the brisket, sausage, creamed corn and slaw. By far one of the best BBQ meats I have ever tasted ! Must try spit for those in the Little Rock area !

2 meat combo with a side of ribs. Brunswick stew and chili.

If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. I take BBQ serious and have gone out of my way to travel to all the BBQ states and try all of the better known establishments. With that said, I have a very high standard in which I rate a place. Let's start with the highlight, the meats. I ordered the ribs, brisket and turkey. All three were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The ribs were super tender. The brisket had great smoke rings and packed juicy well seasoned punch. The Turkey, turkey is was very moist and again, tasted great. Great smoke flavor on all three. Now to the part that left me wanting more. The Sides.....I usually order potato salad and beans, but I went with Brunswick stew and chili. The stew looked very promising, but it ended tasting bland. The chili, although not bland was fairly boring. Now, I would not be surprised one bit if people read this and stay that they love both. I wish I would I have ordered my standard to have a better comparison. In all, this place is very good.

So I saw this place on Instagram a few months back and have been plotting my visit ever since. Luckily I had to be in Little Rock on business and I called the buddy of mine and asked if he wanted to go to lunch. Barbecue sounded great so we decided to give it a try. I tried to order as much as possible on a budget! I'm pretty sure I blew that budget, but I had meals for three days which worked out even better. Pork belly bites, they had great flavor and were tender. How can you go wrong with big chunks of bacon! Even reheated in the air fryer they were good. Brisket very tender not as fatty as I had hoped. But it just depends on where they are at on the brisket when cutting. Great smokiness, good flavor, and a good bark. Did not reheat as well due to the limited amount of fat. Texas Twinkies. Probably my favorite item on the plate. Who doesn't like bacon, cheese, jalapeños, and pulled pork. Tasted great there, and reheated well in the air fryer. Jalapeño cheddar sausage, this item was probably my least favorite unfortunately. Don't give me wrong. It was good, but I've had way better. Would I get it again yes probably. Coleslaw was great, had a lot of carrot in it and I couldn't tell if that was Apple or not but they used it. It was a different flavor, which was great. It's always good to try. New twist on coleslaw. Smoked sausage and cabbage. The best side I have. I was shockingly surprised at the tenderness of the cabbage and the depth of flavor provided. I will definitely get this again. Overall, this place was a great experience and I look forward to my next visit.

We stopped in here on the way back to Texas. Easy stop 5 mins off the exit. Great food, fresh and tasty. Beautiful and clean facility and the staff obviously takes pride in what they do. We got two smoked turkey plates with sides of cheesy potatoes, cole slaw, cabbage and sausage and creamed corn. All was amazing! Highly recommend

Finally made the trip to Back Home BBQ. You know, talking about BBQ in the south is almost like talking about religion. It's solid, love the atmosphere, the people are friendly, and a phenomenal ventilation system. The brisket was moist and tender, their pulled pork needed no additional sauce. That sandwich was pretty great. Both of these were winners and the best in town. What fell short for us, the potato salad needed more seasoning. The bbq beans are a ranch style, almost like chili beans. The ribs were my least favorite. It's a fattier rib which people do like. I'm more into the meat fall off the bone type. 100% loved this place. I can see why others do too. Definitely will be back.

Brunswick stew, banana pudding, cheesy potatoes, jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket. Brisket and sausage are MUST trys.

Excellent Brisket and sausage. Been with big groups there several times and never heard a bad review. Cowboy beans are probably least impressive side. Mostly because they resemble chili more than what people are expecting from bbq beans

Chopped brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage.

I walked in with high expectations. And they were met! I walked in believing that Wright's barbecue was the clear number one barbecue in the state, any state. I walked out unable to distinguish which was better between Wrights and Back home. They had two types of brisket, a fatty cut, and a lean cut. All of the meats were as good except for the burnt ends. While they were good, they were not as good as Wright's barbecue. The people were great, friendly service, good conversation, and they know they barbecue! I was pleasantly surprised going in with such a hard critique. It's a must try! Atmosphere is in downtown Little Rock, brick walls with Texas country music playing Good vibe, small town diner feel almost.

1st family trip to Little Rock; read reviews so we ordered 2 briskets & 2 pork's ribs with green beans with bacon, zucchini salad cheesy potatoes & baked beans. WOW Wow, meat was tender & delicious. The pit master was kind enough to show us how they bbq the meats for 17 hours in the smokers. Highly recommended

We've been watching this spot for months waiting for it to open. Street parking only and we had no trouble at 11:45 on a Friday. You wait in line to step up to order cafeteria style. This can be slow as there is only one register but staff was very friendly. Hubby and I both ordered a meat platter with two sides. We shared so we could try more items. My platter was brisket (they slice as you wait), cheesy potatoes, and dirty rice. For $20, you get two decent slices of brisket and a scoop of the sides. You can choose between a mustard -based sauce or traditional. The brisket and cheesy potatoes were ok but the dirty rice was outstanding. Full of meat and topped with a burnt end. Hubby's platter was the original sausage, cowboy beans, and Mac n cheese. The sausage was good with a nice snap. The Mac n cheese was forgettable but the beans were very good with some heat. Two platters plus one drink (and one water) was $48.00 with tip. I'm not sure how I think the pricing will hold up in a market with a lot of great BBQ options but I wish them luck. Would I go back? Maybe but probably not high on my list.

We flew into Little Rock hungry for some real food. Starting off, the exterior brick building has charm. " Lotta Smoke n Little Rock n". The employees here were respectful, something I don't see much any more. Now to the food, the brisket was so tender. It was very flavorful. My favorite side was the coleslaw. Honestly this was the best BBQ.

The bbq is so good. I got the two plate meat with brisket and ribs and the brisket is so tender and tasty and just delicious and the cowboy beans were delicious and plenty of meat and the potatoes salad was good as well. My first time going but not my last time

I went to heaven. We just flew in from Chicago and went searching for something to eat close to where we are staying. The young lady gave us her recommendations, we ordered and wow! The brisket and ribs were amazing. I ordered the rib tips and it wasn't how I normally get them, however, they were pretty darn good. Make your way here if you are looking for some kick ass barbecue. From the staff to the food, I give it a 10.

BBQ Must-Try Variety is the spice of life so we ordered a full-on smorgasbord to get the most well-rounded taste of the menu--and everything delivered! The cheesy potatoes were rich and melty with crispy edges, and the pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with incredible smoky flavor and crispy bark. The jalapeño cheese sausage had a perfect kick without overpowering the meat, and the slaw was fresh, crunchy, and balanced everything beautifully. The turkey was a surprise standout--moist, smoky, and far from the dry slices you find at most BBQ spots. Add in the creamed corn and dirty rice, which were both packed with flavor, and you've got a plate (or three) of pure comfort. Texas twinkies, zucchini salad, brisket, cowboy beans, regular sausage, and mac and cheese were all solid too. There's something for everyone here! Portions were generous, staff was friendly, and the spot was super clean. Make no mistake, hands-down THE best BBQ in Little Rock. This place is a must.

House smoked bbq bourbon from The Attic. A taster from the bartender, Jared. Delicious!

My wife and…read moreI came in on a Friday afternoon, we loved the beers so much that we grabbed 3 6-packs on the way out. Happy hours included half price pints and some really good bar snacks... I would recommend the sampler that came with onion rings, cheese fries, chicken bites (get the dry rub!), and egg roll boudin. This place is so secure in the quality of the beer that they offer that our bartender actually recommended that we go to another place to compare: Moody Brews a couple of miles south. We decided to stay for a while and sample the beers at this place instead, playing rummy and watching a bowl game on TV. A perfect spot for all of that!!

Stopped into Flyway Brewing on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised by how quiet it was. The…read morerestaurant was clean, comfortable, and had the music at exactly the right volume present enough to create atmosphere without making conversation difficult. Nothing felt overwhelming or overdone, which made for a relaxed experience. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Water hit the table in under two minutes, and our beers arrived in less than five. That's the kind of efficiency every restaurant should strive for. Now for the food: * Cheese Curds ($8) - These arrived piping hot and fresh from the fryer. The curds themselves were crispy but fairly bland on their own. The ranch and Mimi's Red Sauce did a lot of the heavy lifting here and elevated the dish significantly. * Queso ($8, plus $2 for chorizo) - Very basic. Not bad, but not memorable either. It tasted like melted Velveeta with a little extra liquid mixed in. Perfectly edible, just lacking any standout flavor. * Pretzel ($6) - Easily one of the highlights of the meal. They accidentally brought us the espresso pretzel first before correcting it with the plain version we ordered. Surprisingly, both were excellent. Soft, fresh, and flavorful. * Smash Burger & Fries ($17) - The fries were fantastic: hot, crispy, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. The burger itself was average--exactly what you'd expect from a mid-range brewery restaurant. Good, but not something I'd specifically come back for. * Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries ($15) - The low point of the meal. The sweet potato fries were cold, stale, and honestly should never have left the kitchen. The chicken sandwich wasn't much better. The breading was overcooked to the point of tasting burnt, and there wasn't much flavor beyond that. * Bacon-Wrapped Quail Sliders - Another average offering. Not bad by any means, but nothing that stood out or justified ordering again. The beer is clearly the star of the show here. Flyway knows how to brew, and that's what would bring me back. The food ranges from good to disappointing, with only a few items really standing out. Overall: * Beer: 4/5 * Food: 2/5 * Service: 5/5 Flyway Brewing is worth visiting for the beer, atmosphere, and service. Eat because you're there, not because you're searching for an exceptional meal. If the kitchen can become as consistent as the brewery, this place could be something special.

I was picking up a book at the library and it's right next door, they advertised on the sign they have toiletries so I thought they might have toilet paper. I didn't see any so I asked. There was a woman filling a bag with ice cream and told the person behind the counter to get it from the back, the clerk was trying to ask her how much to charge, but she didn't respond and then she left. So the clerk comes back with one roll of toilet paper unwrapped like it was taken from their bathroom. I was like, ok, fine, thinking she might charge me .50¢ or $1. I also was buying a yerba mate drink. She rang it up and it was over $7, I asked how much the drink was she said $3.49, so you are charging me over $3 for a single roll of toilet paper, and she says yes. I said no, I will get toilet paper somewhere else, I am not paying you over $3 for a roll of toilet paper, that's insane. I gave her cash, she was still holding the money in her hand telling me I could get something else. I was so confused why she just didn't take that off, she had not put the money in the register, the transaction was not complete, she was still holding the money. I pointed at the money in her hand, and looked at her as if she was trying to make a simple situation hard. She kept repeating you can get something else, I've already rang it up. I wasn't about to argue with her in front of the small child sitting on the counter. So i said well can I get another drink? Still confused why she just didn't give me my money.
