Whenever I'm out of town I'm looking for whatever that city has to offer! I look for the best, and hope my fellow Yelpers and TIKTOKers steer me in the right direction! They did me right with Wrights! I was getting my food to go but the atmosphere was chill a big screen with sports on, a bunch of picnic tables for seating would've been cool to sit down. They have various options on the menu, you can get a two or three plate, sandwiches, special options, or meats by the pound! I went with the brisket, ribs, chicken, an original link, sides of deviled egg potato salad, coleslaw, and collards. I wanted some turkey but it sold out right as I approached to order. Here are my review: Brisket: tender, well seasoned Ribs: really good, tender but not fall off the bone. Just how I like it. Chicken was moist and good. Link: they forgot it. But shout out to Bo he offered to take care of me! Coleslaw: it was good Green: made with vinegar how I like them. Potato salad was good as well I would definitely come back to this place.

Say what?? This BBQ joint is the bomb. The ribs and brisket are off the chain. Sides are great and so is the sweet tea. Smoked chicken was not bone in parts. It was smoked breast and low on the flavor profile. Ribs were tender and delish. So was the brisket and I'm not a brisket person. Meats are weighed so just a warning. Enjoy!

Pulled Pork (yum), Bacon Burnt ends (fatty), and 2 great sides (potato salad + beans), $25

You might not have Little Rock on your dance card but when I tell you about Wright's Barbecue that might change. My son and I perused the menu while lining up to place our order. A choice of 2 meats and 2 sides ($25) was what we both opted for with a goal of sampling as much as we possibly could. Thus: Meat * Ribs, Pulled Pork, Brisket, & Bacon Burnt Ends Sides * Potato Salad, Beans, Mac & Cheese, & Sweet Potatoes There were other meats and sides on the menu but these are what we opted for and here's our consensus conclusion: The ribs are to die for. The meat literally falls off the bones and is perfection. When we return we will both be getting ribs, ribs, and more ribs. (In fact, before coming, more than one local advised us to get the ribs). It's impossible to go wrong with the sides. The choice of potato salad and beans was an excellent match though that was my son's order. Halfway through the meal I think we were both consuming what the other ordered. The 2-meat/2-sides plate is a lot of food. This is not a complaint. We both agreed that we'd order less food next time while also agreeing that yes, there'd definitely be a next time. A local institution; your trip to Little Rock won't be complete without a stop at Wright's.

Oink oink, fam! That's the sound of this Meat Train pulling into the station, ready to reload on some good ol' southern BBQ fuel. In this little story, I am the Meat Train and my belly is the furnace that burns BBQ fuel and turns it into energy to get me up the mountain. Perfect. Let's write this story. Wright Barbecue is exactly as you would expect a BBQ joint to look like. Big entry sign. Picnic tables inside. And out. Wide open area. Long line. Sauces at the tables. BBQ. Those things in that order is all you need to run a top tier BBQ joint. Look. I love BBQ. It's my strength AND weakness. I'm not a super sauce person when it comes to the BBQ. I like tasting the meat itself. Stoppit. This is a family Yelp page. Once I have a mouthful of meat (I said stop), and get its taste memorized, then I go ahead and add some sauce. Sometimes I'll go back for more mouth meat. Ok. We're done. When I order BBQ, I don't typically get sandwiches or Mac and cheese with the meat. I like just the meat flavor as it is and I find that hard to get when you start piling on ingredients. So for here I got the three meat platter. Ribs, Brisket, and Chicken. With the platte, you get two sides. I ran with Baked Beans and Mashed Potatoes. Baked Beans because they really are a staple in BBQ and Mashed Potatoes because I've never seen them as a side before in a BBQ joint. Starting with the sides: The Baked Beans were straight out of a 90s Disney movie. Meaning they were the best thing I've ever eaten and will probably grow overly attached to them and think about them for the next twenty years, only to become depressed when I realize that today's baked beans just pale in comparison. But I mean, that could be anybody's interpretation. 10/10 bean memory. The potatoes?? For throwing me for a loop, those things were amazing. I have no idea what they put in them, but they could put them in a hobo's shoe and I would eat it. Creamy, hot, seasoned. Perfect. Let's drop in for the meat. This is where we separate the winners from the losers. And in this case, Wrights Barbecue are winners. The chicken was succulent, well hydrated, tender, and seasoned with delicate hands. I ate it all with all the sauce flavors and all those did were enhance the chicken. I would gladly raise a farm of these specific chickens to eat this specific BBQ. The ribs? Buddy. Those ribs were so tender, I bumped the table and they fell off the bone. Great flavor, great doneness. Perfect. Oh, the brisket. I found I have enjoyed brisket the most. Always opting for a fattier piece, but basically settling for anything. This did not disappoint. It was melt in your mouth. It was like meat cotton candy. I've seen wars fought over brisket like this. I've seen men die on the battlefield for meat like this. I would die right now if it meant I could come back and have more of that beautiful meat. (I said what I said). Mystery Flavored Potatoes: 11/12 Tripple Meat Platter Flavor: 12/10 Absolute BBQ Experience: 15/10

I came here expecting pretty good barbecue based on reviews, but still had my expectations checked. The place seems small, but has adequate seating outside and next door. I ordered a three meat with pulled pork, brisket and ribs along with beans and deviled egg potato salad. I was totally blown away by everything I tasted and that not easy. I consider myself a bbq connoisseur. I have eaten at most of the too bbq restaurants in TX, NC, AL, LA, MS, TN, and Kansas City. I would say Wright's is definitely in the top 5. All of the meats were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The potato salad was so good, perfect balance of traditional, yet didn't taste like every other potato salad. Same with the beans, the taste was a little different but in a very good way. I wish I lived closer because this place is a gem.

We were heading west to ABQ from New Hampshire and had stopped at a few other BBQ joints in Memphis on the way, which were okay but not great, so I wanted to stop at a well known place with a good reputation. Wright's did not disappoint. It was Halloween friday so the lunch line seemed like it might be longer than normal which almost had me go somewhere else. But they have their system down and we got through the line quickly. We had brisket, bacon burnt ends, sausage, ribs and chicken and all were outstanding. Really some of the best BBQ I've ever had. We had so much leftover food it was dinner and another lunch. The staff are outstanding. They welcomed us into the smoke shack and let me take as many pictures as I wanted. Super friendly staff. Great place and absolute must if you're looking for good, authentic Arkansas BBQ.

What a great find in Little Rock! Here on work (from Austin TX area) and pleasantly surprised at the quality BBQ brisket served here. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. Ample parking. Plenty of space inside to sit and eat (long table/bench seating) as well as outside patio space. Good merch. The brisket has great bark and flavor. The sides are good portions and good flavor. Love my Franklins, Interstellar and Blacks/Terry Blacks at home, but Wrights make me feel at home when in Little Rock.

Whatever you take away from my review, just know that I visited not knowing how ticky tocky made this place so prevalent. I will have to say that their customer service was far beyond excellent by their cashiers and by a guy named Max. Once he saw that we were from California he was totally on the game. He told us that he too came from California and asked how long we lived in Arkansas. When we told him that we were visiting under undesirable circumstances he really went out of his way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. We were limited on sides and I was wondering how the sweet potato tasted and he brought it out to us. Not only that but he also brought us their bread pudding that was an absolute a blast for us. He saw that I was curious on their smokers and told me that I was free to look inside! The smoke masters were exceptionally nice and gave me an amazing tour of their craft. Just by witnessing them offering me a tour truly showed me how dedicated and proud they are of their craft. I want to say that their ribs were absolutely delicious. There was no need for any bbq sauce and their slow cooked chicken was so juicy - I never knew chicken could be smoked that like before. Burnt ends was delectable, so tender I nearly thought I was biting into a marshmallow. Let's not forget the pulled pork. The pulled pork was smoked so perfectly that I could admit that no other pulled pork from California could ever. Hey listen, sausages to some are just sausages but their jalapeño cheddar sausage were so delicious that I couldn't get enough. Sides were the Mac and cheese that weren't phenomenal but their baked beans certainly did hit the spot. Don't get me started on their egg salad. Perfectly tangy with a great balance of ingredients throughout each bit. Their cold slaw was so good that there were no left overs to pack away. The bbq sauces were hard to manage because the bold was indeed bold but my favorite was the sweet bbq- when you visit them, mix all three bbq sauces and it'll be a trifecta.

1 lb of ribs, pulled pork sandwich, smoked beans. World class bbq.

Great bbq. Unique flavor. Most tender high quality ribs I've ever had. Fall off the bone in a good way. All sinew, gristle melts into the meat. Really world class stuff. But of a line but plenty of seating on Wednesday night. Pulled pork sammy also very good.

Bacon Burnt Ends. Best pork belly ever

If you could give 10 stars I would. Food was amazing, if there is a line wait food is just that good. Service keeps the line moving. They take the order of each person in a timely manner. Ambiance is perfect, just what you expect a great BBQ place to be. Will I be back...only if I come this way again. Las Vegas is a 2 day drive.

We stopped by this BBQ spot after the hotel staff recommended it as it's only a 10 minute drive, so pretty convenient. We read on Google and Yelp that lines can get pretty long (like 40 minutes or more), so we decided to order online for pickup instead. At first, the pickup time showed 15 minutes, but after we placed the order it changed to 43 minutes. Still ok but just a heads-up for anyone ordering online. We got the three-meat platter with ribs, brisket, and bacon burnt ends, plus coleslaw and mac/cheese on the side. The portions looked smaller than what we expected from the pictures shown online; it would be nice if they mentioned roughly how many pieces/ ounces you get with each meat, just so people know what to expect and how much to order! The ribs were good: flavorful and fell right off the bone. The brisket was moist but bland for our taste; we prefer it with a bit more marbling and smoke. The burnt ends had good flavor but were really tough; chewy is fine, but these were almost rock hard. The mac and cheese and coleslaw were okay, nothing to write home about. We liked that we got pickled onions and pickles with the order. Overall, it was a decent experience, and we'd come back again if we're in the area.

If you're here on a Friday night get ready for a verrry long line. Now it was worth it, but if you are strapped for time this might not be the place. I ordered the rocket man mashed potato and brisket. It was delicious. Very filling and could be shared unless you're starving. The Mac n cheese was so yummy as well as the brisket. Despite the long lines, their service is super quick once ordering and there is plenty of seating inside and out. There are also bathrooms and an open bar area to grab drinks while you wait!

Couldn't help but post again, this place is exceptional. If you want to find yourself in barbecue Nirvana this place is it. It's definitely worth a drive to get here. The sides are excellent as well.

Traveling through a Little Rock for work, my group decided to grab breakfast before flying out. We came in due to the raving reviews from a multitude of online sources and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Root Benny and the blueberry muffin based on the host's recommendation. First cut into my poached egg and I already knew it was the start of a culinary journey. Absolute flavor and texture perfection. The seasonal greens (steamed kale?) paired so well with the greens and the crostini was the perfect vehicle for yolk dipping. The blueberry muffin was small but delicious--exactly what you should expect from a muffin. I wish I would've remembered to order the cookies to go. I suppose I'll have to come back.

My wife also had a couple of cocktails and a few glasses of wine. There was a lot that we enjoyed. The oysters and scallops were fantastic, and both desserts were excellent. The bread and butter were also very good. My wife thought the wine selection was excellent as well. Unfortunately, there were a few things that kept the experience from being as good as it could have been. The biggest disappointment was the duck breast. The flavor was good, but the fat wasn't rendered properly and the skin wasn't crispy. The result was a chewy, rubbery texture that made the dish difficult to enjoy. My wife's walleye was cooked well, but the blueberry sauce was so strong that it overwhelmed much of the fish's flavor. The cocktails were okay--certainly drinkable, but not a standout. We also found a plastic bread bag tie in my wife's salad. We pointed it out to our waiter, who removed it from the table, but there was no apology, explanation, replacement salad, or any acknowledgment beyond taking it away. Finding a foreign object in your food is unfortunate; having it essentially ignored was disappointing. One other thing we noticed was that the sides felt like an afterthought. Both entrées came with the same carrots and Brussels sprouts. They were fine, but nothing particularly memorable, and serving the exact same sides with very different dishes made the entrées feel less thoughtfully composed. The service was generally good, although somewhat slow. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but he also didn't seem especially familiar with the menu at times. Overall, this was a mixed experience, especially with a price tag north of $300. The appetizers, desserts, and wine were the highlights of the evening. There were moments where the meal was genuinely excellent, but the issues with both entrées, the uninspired sides, and the lack of response to finding a bread tie in the salad kept it from feeling like the special anniversary dinner we had hoped for.
