We decided to give Corey's another try today after not eating there for10 years due to declining food quality. Since so many people rave about it, we thought we'd give it another chance. My husband went through the drive-thru and ordered a chicken salad for himself and ribs and onion rings for me. When he got home, we discovered the ribs were missing. Frustrated, he drove all the way back to the restaurant, only to find a sign on the door stating they had closed at 7:00 p.m. The problem is that both the online info and Facebook list their closing time as 8:00 p.m. Mistakes happen, but between an incomplete order and inaccurate business hours, this was a very disappointing experience. I was seated promptly and had excellent service. As soon as I saw there was a Corky's in Little Rock, I knew I'd stop for dinner. They also offer some nice lunch specials, but I never had the time to try them out. The nachos exactly as I remember them in Memphis. I did not get a chance to try my pulled pork sandwich, however, as I forgot my to go box when I left. We had a group reservation of 20+ nurses from the ANHG celebrating the end of nurses week and the end of meetings until the fall. The reservations were made 1 1/2 weeks in advance and the restaurant was not prepared to cater to that many people and the other patrons that were eating. Nurses actually got up and started to help with drink orders, taking food orders, cleaning off the table from used dishes, getting plastic silverware ( no clean forks, knives) after waiting for more than an hour. The waitress, and manager/server, stated several times that she would give us a discount ( took $2.99 off sodas/tea) but didn't. Our food arrived after 7:30, we had been there since 6:00, and the restaurant closed at 8:00. Most of the nurses ate some of their food and took the rest home. On top of all that happened they charges a 20% gratuity for the work we did for our meal! I would not suggest to go there to eat with a big group of people. Staff was nice but service was terrible. Let me first say that we have been eating at Corky's for 30+ years. Corky's has always been consistently good, food and service. This time the service was good. No problem there. Overall the food was good and the server (Bobby) was awesome - however the horribly rude bartender who felt the need to scream at our group several times during our dinner in the private room about being "too loud" was so over the top insane that I would absolutely NOT recommend this place and truly hope she is let go so as not to bring down the establishment further. read more

We just ate at Corky's in Little Rock. I ordered the brisket plate with green beans and fried okra. My husband ordered the dry rub half rack ribs with coleslaw and potato salad. The brisket was very tough and actually tasted more like roast beef than brisket, no smoke flavor whatsoever. The green beans tasted like they had a lot of vinegar in them however, the okra, it's kinda hard to mess that up. It was fine. The sweet tea was fine. My husband said the ribs were good the coleslaw and potato salad so so nothing to write home about. I don't think we're gonna be going back . Came on. Friday at 3pm - not busy. Food was not good, service was ok, even though we had to ask several time for specific items (rolls, napkins, straws). Sweet tea tasted old. Ribs were tender but had a lot of fat on them. Also felt sick the rest of the day/night after eating them. Was very disappointed with this restaurant. This place literally reeks of BBQ, in a good way. As soon as you walk in your hit with the aroma of what you're about to enjoy and the food does not depart from the initial experience. Yes, this is a chain BBQ restaurant. Yes, it's not BBQ like the mom and pop shops do it. However, for the price and the fact that it's a chain restaurant, it's not a bad place to stop in for a quick bite that will satisfy your craving for BBQ. We walked in for dinner, we're seated pretty quickly by a young man, table for two. I looked around and noticed there were only two other tables with customers, and three guys at the bar. There were two women whom I assumed were wait staff standing in the corner at a counter top talking and one other waiter talking to one of the other customers. We waited almost ten minutes and none of the staff seemed to notice we were even there although it would be hard to miss us, we were one of three tables with people sitting at them. Disappointing. Been going to Corky's for 20 years. Hadn't been there in a while and won't be going back. Cheese dip had chunks of cheese in the bottom and the chips were stale and chewy. Fries were nothing to write home about, probably frozen. Chicken sandwich was tender but the burger was dry. The tamales with chili are all pre-fab and microwaved. Couldn't finish them. At the table next to us an employee had a giant commercial tub of prefab potato salad doling it out in To-go containers without gloves. Wow, I am from New Jersey so I am very easy to impress when it comes to barbecue since we really don't have anything to offer in my state. I always look forward to heading south of the Mason-Dixon line to enjoy great barbecue of all styles and flavors. I have enjoyed some great barbecue in Arkansas during my stay this week, however this was not one of those experiences. I ordered the two meat platter, pulled pork and beef brisket with coleslaw and a side salad. The side salad was pretty good. Everything was terrible. The meat had no taste at all to the point that I could not tell the difference between the beef and the pork. The coleslaw tasted a little bit like soap. I'm telling you, dickeys barbecue chain taste way better and that's not saying much. The service was OK by our bartender, however she tried to charge me for an extra drink that I did not order. She must've thought I drank too much and would not notice. But I did. She changed the bill. To show her what kind of person I am, I still left over a 20% tip on the entire bill even though the food was disgusting, to say the least. Was seated at the bar with no menu and waited 15 minutes to tell me they had no beef. Corky's is a great, sports bar family friendly go to where our family of 6 can all find something we like and we have several picky eaters. My husband chose a full rack of ribs, kind of his go to. He and the waiter had a conversation about dry rub vs sauce. After their banter the ribs were dry and while he wasn't really complaining but he doesn't lie. Once the waiter realized he was serious and it wasn't just banter, they immediately corrected the problem. The second rack was some of the best he has ever eaten! For me, the onion rings are the bomb and the rolls are some of the family favorites too. Corky's will continue to be a go to! read more

I'm not sure what's worse.. that the person I talked to whenever I called for a pick up order never corrected me or that I should've have just followed my gut after seeing the menu.. I'm not sure that I have ever been a bbq joint that didn't have a pulled/shredded chicken bbq sandwich. Ordered ahead for 1lb of shredded chicken only to drive an hour for a get together to realize that the chicken was pretty much equivalent to frozen Tyson grilled chicken strips microwaved and served dry in a dish with a side of Walmart brand bbq sauce to top it off. I will never eat here personally again or cater at my clinic. Not sure how they are even still open after having their potato salad either. My two year old makes better potato salad. Ordered 4 lbs worth of meat and maybe got 2.5/3 for over $100. Saddening to say the least. read more
