Great neighborhood brewery! Close to The Riverwalk, but off the beaten path. Very much a local neighborhood vibe, not "touristy". Staff is friendly welcoming, and attentive. They brew an excellent beer, The Mr. enjoyed the Bond & Hoppy. They have a nice wine by the glass list for the non beer drinkers. We ordered a build your own pizza: pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. They brush the crust with garlic butter which is a nice finishing touch. All in all a great experience and we will be back! read more

Every single bite had full taste. The food is prefected I hope it stays that way. Beer is crisp, great, and they all have their own unique taste. Great service. Immediately greeted upon entering. Tried a flight off the cherry farmhouse ale, French farmhouse ale, sour Hawaii 210, and the Pilsner. Ask were good. Faves were the sour and Pilsner. The ales unfortunately are being compared to jesters so although good aren't those. We shared the caprese starter bc we weren't hungry and it was also good. Great prices. Nice and cool interior. Definitely had this place on our radar as a new San Antonio brewery to check out. We came here with a larger group (7) on a Saturday night. It was less of a brewery vibe and more of a gastro pub vibe where you sit down and have a waiter. We had a short wait because of our group size. They were sold out of a few beers already for the weekend so the selection was semi limited. But the beers we tried were good. We all got pizza and it was soooo good. Very, very impressed. I came for the beer and can't stop talking about the food. The salad I ordered had fresh hand pulled mozzarella and strawberries. The pizza crust was absolutely perfect. Opening day Nov 19th, 2019. They only have 2 beers available as their brewery hasn't come up to full production yet, but I really like what I've tasted. We have tickets at the Tobin Center and wanted to eat close by beer our show. We are always interested in local breweries and my husband loves pizza, plus this was a quick walk on the Riverwalk. I like that you can get your pizza in the six inch size. We ordered two different ones (pepperoni Gorgonzola and the Formaggio e Bacon). Both were delicious, but we preferred the Gorgonzola one, which also had a balsamic glaze. The service was excellent. I'm sure this place is really busy on the weekend. Not too bad for a Wednesday, either. We'll definitely be back. This is a thin crust pizza, so if that's not your jam, you should know that. It's hard to find a Porter or stout at the micro breweries around here, so we were pleased with the milk stout tonight. Anyone that can point me to more local dark beers? I can only review the beer.....amazing! I love Belgians and have the Tussel in the Hay. My husband loves IPA's and they have a few to choose from, so her rotates. They have their beers ready to go in 16 oz cans and you can mix and match a 4 pack. Our beer choices come in 4 oz and 10 oz pours and you can get the 16 oz can for a little more, I noticed. So you might want to try buying the can and just asking for a glass, which would save $$. I wish their outdoor seating was a little nicer and bigger, but after that first taste of ice cold beer...it really doesn't matter. Their menus are all on-line and easily accessible. read more

First let me say that I would go back...it's a cool place, good beer, pretty good pizza, but the service was not great. They forgot our drinks twice, and their service model (not one dedicated server) left us trying to stop someone walking by. I think this model creates the mindset that "someone else will take care of it." The servers mostly hung out by the bar and played/scrolled on their phone. At first it was uncomfortable to stop someone to ask for something (makes you feel rude), but once we realized we had to it was slightly less uncomfortable. Nice local brewery in the neighborhood. I love the story of the place, too. I had the American pale ale and it was a great balance of hops (not too hoppy). I also had the international cherry which is one of the best beers I have ever had. My husband and I split the meal for 2, which was a salad, pizza, and dessert. We had the strawberry balsamic salad, which was fresh and light. We shared the arugula and sun dried tomato pizza. They could have gone closer to the edge with the sauce and toppings, but that is being picky. We got the peanut butter and chocolate brownie, which was a cakey brownie with peanut butter filling in the middle. Definitely a fun place. They also had games to play (card games and board games), but I didn't notice those until going to the restroom at the end of my meal. Staff was very attentive and cleaned off the table frequently. Wish I could have tried the food, but sadly after waiting a hour and a half in the cold outdoors, and then going inside to their tiny waiting area, I watched them give my table to "reserved" guests " 3 times. I finally asked how to make a reservation to be told they don't have reservations. I think I know how this place works. And luckily, I have these privileges at quite a few of my preferred establishments. It just sucks when you aren't in the know and they lie to you and tell you you're next for a table. My kids and I were starving, freezing, and luckily we left because who knows how long it may have taken to be served. We weren't up for a 4 hour dining experience. We waited about 1.5 and spoke to other families waiting to see that's how this place rolls. A little publicity on Texas Eats and they are no longer, a "must try" for us.
