Very fresh and tasty pizza. New York style thin buttery crust hint of garlic and loads of basil. Service was excellent fast and courteous well worth $24

Passing by on the road, you would think it's just another rustic bar with outdoor space. Not knowing it's an Italian restaurant! Overall experience was fairly good. Drink and food was enjoyable and the server I had was fun and vibrant---she gave spots to check out to have good time. Only Concern: The outdoor benches may need to be surfaced for sanitary reasons--I can't imagine how they are able to wipe/clean Parmesan cheese from the cracks of the table properly as my bench was dirty. I would visit again though! Lol

This was my second time here, but didn't get to leave a review last time because I had an issue with my Yelp acct. I had their lunch special Italian Marinara Pasta and I really enjoyed it! It came with garlic bread and salad or fries and garlic bread was yum! Service was great both times - really friendly staff. They had both inside and outside seating. Did a takeout the first time and sat outside the second time. I also got to try my friend's Alfredo pasta - soo delish and will get it the next time i go!

Stopped by on Thursday for dinner at Guillermo's. First time here, and checking in was confusing. Regardless, the wait for a party of 4 was 30 minutes which we were ok with waiting. There's a walk up bar with happy hour prices that don't end until 8pm which is awesome. For the price, I was surprised at how good the drinks were. When we were seated inside, we requested to be sat outside because of the bathroom smell. The inside was not pleasant, old and unappealing. Outside seating is lovely with lights and warmers for colder days. For food, we shared the chicken Alfredo and mixed greens salad. The salad was great. The chicken Alfredo was good but not hot. Our friends ordered the calzone which they enjoyed. Portions are large. Prices reasonable. Would love to return and try something else. The kitchen is understaffed so be prepared to wait a bit.

Food was ok and nothing to brag about. Portions are hearty. Bar service was slow and backed up. Expect to wait. Not a place that can handle crowds or a busy rush. Back room was warm and had gnats flying around. Not a great atmosphere.

Driving by & all the papel picado caught our eye. There were signs for specials & $2/Modelo. However, when we asked our waitress about this there were no specials. Ugh. Service was good. I ordered a Caesar pasta salad and husband ordered a burger. Hubby enjoyed his hamburger. I hunted for the pasta in my pasta salad. It was fresh but call it what it is! We opted for outdoor seating & there was plenty. Lots of shade & nice vegetation to add to the atmosphere! If you are in the area, maybe check them out for pizza ...! It's a cute spot but just didn't hit our mark today.

I love coming to this place. It's in a historic house so very quaint, & there's a nice outside patio. They have good happy hour options including drinks & appetizer's. The staff are always nice & food is yummy.

This place has great pizza!!! I came by to try the pizza, as it came highly recommended. I ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms, chicken, beef fajita, and spinach, and it was delicious. The pizza tasted fresh, and it was huge! The service was also great, and food didn't take long to come out. The restaurant looks unsuspecting from the outside, but it's a great spot. It was filled when I came in, and although it is on the older side, the ambiance is very lively. There is no parking since it is located downtown, but it looks like you might be able to find street parking nearby. Prices are very fair for portions and not bad at all. 10/10 would recommend. I love this spot for a good pizza night!

First, thank you to Guillermo's for accommodating my large party of 12! My mom and I hosted an event here for Trinity University earlier this month and the restaurant management and staff were so easy to coordinate with. I filled out the reservation form on their website and that same day a manager called me to confirm the reservation and ask if I had any questions. When we arrived, our table was already ready, which was great! Our waitress did a phenomenal job taking care of every person. The majority of our group ordered the lunch specials. Great, big portions means you can take some home for later! I will say I miss the Pepperoni Ranch Salad - I didn't see it on the menu. Hope it makes a comeback sometime!

First of all the restaurant is beautifully designed. The vintage photos of San Antonio are awesome. They take you back in time. Now let me get back to the food. I ordered the Calzone with peperoni, mushrooms and sausage. The ingredients tasted very fresh and very tasty. One of the best Calzones I've ever had. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and she loved it. She took one bite and was hooked. The sauce is what made it the best. And to top it all off our waitress Karine was awesome. She was very attentive and made us feel at home. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back

Every dish feels thoughtfully curated with tried-and-true recipes rooted in Chef Luca and his family's Northern Italian traditions. This is the kind of place where quality takes priority over quantity. Our server, Gary, was fantastic. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about Italian food and wine. His recommendations were spot-on and his enthusiasm felt so genuine. We started with a bread basket accompanied by a little sampling of tapenade, which was savory, briny, and a perfect complement to the warm bread. Came in with a group of four, we kicked things off with the burrata starter--a surprisingly fun and shareable adventure of baked burrata, fresh crostini, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, and basil cream. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked beautifully together. For our entrées, we ordered the Tartufo, Cinghiale, Bolognese, and Carbonara. And let me just say, the Tartufo was a full-on dinner performance. Gary brought out steaming hot tagliatelle pasta and tossed it tableside inside a giant wheel of Parmesan. He then topped it with crab meat in brown butter before finishing it with a generous shaving of truffle. Every bite was like a perfectly timed symphony of flavors--rich, savory, buttery, and earthy, with nothing outshining the other. I'd put this dish up against anyone's nonna. I sampled the other three entrées as well, and every one was delicious. The gnocchi in the Cinghiale is an absolute must-try--pillowy, texturally delightful, and packed with flavor. Thank you, Nonna Osteria, for such an epic culinary experience. And a special shoutout to Gary for guiding us through the menu and making an already great dinner even better.

It's mostly all sort of one big open concept area including the kitchen so it can feel a teensie bit hot on the kitchen half. There's also only 1 shareable bathroom for everyone in the restaurant. So much of the food was delicious. I'm still thinking about the current seasonal soup. It was some kind of puréed white bean soup. Needed to be a tiny bit hotter but if I was a local I would absolutely be going there just to place a to go order for soup on the regular. For me, the fish taste on the Cesar salad was slightly overpowering. As someone that doesn't like fish, that part was off putting to me. The pizza was phenomenal, carrots were amazing, drinks were delicious. The deviled eggs were also very nice. Service staff was super friendly though some things were missed when we first placed the order and we waited quite a while for the soup which ended up not being hot enough. However we realized quickly EVERYONE was waiting outside and they had clearly overbooked or had some issue. Finally, after waiting 20 minutes we were sat. The waittress was kind and let us know the kitchen was having some issues so food would be a little delayed between courses. It was about 60 degrees outside and we kindly asked to turn off the outside fans which were on full blast. Once. Then again, and again, and again. After 5 attempts asking various people we gave up and the waitress let us know she couldnt turn them off because their iPad control died. We werent upset at this we were just upset we kept getting different answers and no explanation for our entire 2+ hr meal. We finished the entree and were waiting for the dessert for about 15 minutes until we finally just flagged down a waittress and asked to get the check and desert to go because we were ready to leave. We waited another 10 minutes before someone else brought us our desert but no check. We asked them for the check and then the original waitress came back with our check and another set of deserts. At some point I saw another server who seemed like the manager or supervisor telling another worker to straighten the tables outside so the corners were aligned... needless to say the table alignment was not the issue. Overall just seemed like the restaurant was overwhelmed and there wasn't alot of communication between tables and the staff. It seems the staff was trying their best but the management wasn't handling it well. Would have appreciated more effort into making sure we were taken care of considering the meal for 2 totaled almost 300$. The only reason this isn't a one star is because of the kind waiting staff.

The family that took her in taught my grandmother all about Italian cooking, some of which she passed down to her daughters. Her spaghetti sauce, which she called gravy, was the best. My mother's sauce was just as good. Therefore, we never ate spaghetti out because we knew it wouldn't be as good. Last night, I was hungry for Italian food. Spaghetti was far from my mind. However, a super two for one deal on Door Dash enticed me to order spaghetti with Italian sausage from Albi's Vite Italian Kitchen. It arrived in two foil pans with plastic domed lids. There was enough food in those two servings for me to eat four meals! When I took the lid off, I could not believe how many slices of Italian sausage were on top of the spaghetti. The marinara sauce looked kind of plain and simple but was surprisingly flavorful. I was able to eat a slice of sausage with every bite. That combined with the chunky tomato pieces in the sauce made for a very satisfying meal. Was it the best spaghetti I've ever had? No. Would I order it when I visit the restaurant in person? No. But it was good enough to make me ready to try other dishes on their menu. I think they will most likely blow me away. The reheated portion I had for lunch today was even better! The pasta absorbed a lot of the tomato flavor. I think my next batch will be fried in a tiny bit of butter the way my mother did it when she had leftovers.

As far as the food, we had the fried mozzarella, which was essentially a log of cheese deep-fried and served over sauce. It was delicious, but the cheese-to-crust ratio was a bit heavy. The Caesar salad looked better than it tasted. It was very wet, if that makes sense, and the lettuce seemed soggy. Now for the Wagyu ragu. This almost made me have a seizure, and not in a good way. It was extremely salty and completely inedible, so we had to send it back. The waitstaff was very accommodating and agreed that the salt level was way off, so we replaced it with the carbonara. I'm not sure if that's what authentic carbonara is supposed to taste like, but I did not enjoy it. It tasted burnt to me and had too much pepper. I also didn't care for the shape of the noodles. Last, we had the Americano pizza. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. I just think that if you're going to advertise a pizza with meat on it, there should be more than one piece of sausage per slice. As far as the service, our server was fine. Not particularly friendly, but straightforward and efficient. The manager (or another server) was helpful when it came to replacing our dish. Overall, I would not go back. The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. I've eaten at a lot of good restaurants while traveling, but very few have made me feel as welcome as Dough did. Great food is one thing. Great people are what made me come back the very next day.
