First of all let me say that John is very courteous. It was nice that when I meet him, he shook my hand and looked me in the eye. John also showed up 10 minutes earlier than his schedule time to be there so that was refreshing. I told John that that my sprinklers in my front yard were flooding the yard and that I thought that the solenoid might be stuck open at the end of the cycle. I also have a ton of over-spray and asked John what i needed. He first took a look at my control box and told me that this box was "Overly complicated, but simple to understand". He spent 20 minutes reprogramming the box. He told me that the box had preciously been set for the front sprinklers to go for 3 hours! wow! I then asked him what else he thought I needed and he told me i need there tune up and that would be $149.00. I asked him how much for programming the panel and he said that would be $79.99....I thought that was a lot for 20 minute reprogram, however, I decided to do the tune up and John included the re-programming in for free. So I gave him $175 because I wanted to support a young man running his own business. Then came the first night, all 6 stations ran continuous, back to back for 4 hours and flooded everywhere. I turned the water off and called John later in the day. He said he would meet me the next day. The next day out of nowhere he text me and says his partner came to my house, unannounced and without setting appointment and reprogrammed the panel without me there. He also states that this guy has 25 years in the business and everything should be fine.... Next time the sprinklers came on, all the cycles went great until the last station, the front sprinklers again ran for over an hour and flooded the front again! I went ahead and texted John the problem and he wrote..."the diaphragm of the valve must be sticking open (even though he told me prior the box was set to run for 3 hours), we charge $89.00 for that but will take off $20 for the inconvenience"....no thanks I will have to go elsewhere for sprinkler service to get this fixed now. read more

I contacted Orange County Irrigation Service for some repair and modification at my mother's house. The timer was not working, there were a couple underground leaks and poor coverage in some areas. John came out right away and spotted the problem with the wiring to the valves and corrected that problem on the spot. At my request he provided two estimates. One for the basic leak repair with tune up and another for more work to move and add sprinklers for improved coverage. We chose the later. John scheduled to come out this crew and complete the work. I am very pleased with the outcome. A few weeks after on the the sprinkler heads just started leaking like a geyser. John came out right away and replaced the defective sprinkler under warranty. John Stoeckel installed smart sprinkler controller (Rachio generation 2) in my brother's house in La Habra. He was knowledgeable and his workmanship was clean and well organized. He installed the unit and programmed the controller in my smart phone for me. When there is rain, my sprinkler will not turn on, saving water. When I needed to purchase a smart sprinkler controller, he recommended to purchase Rachio generation 2 since it functions well and it is less expensive that generation 3. It was right recommendation. He is a nice and kind person, and he showed up at the appointed time. His price was fair. I recommend John for smart controller installation, and probably for other irrigation related work also, considering his workmanship, kindness and fair price. read more

The owner came out on a Sunday to repair a major leak that was flooding the front of my house and which couldn't be shut off without turning off the main water main. He spent over 4 hrs repairing the 3 leaks he found. Thus entailed him having to dig a 3 foot hole in the mud caused by the leak. He even came back the next day to finish some issues found with the sprinkler valves. The owner is a hard worker and I didn't find his price exorbitant for it being a Sunday and the work involved. I would definitely use him again when I redo my whole sprinkler system. He should do well for himself as a new business owner hungry for customers. read more
