Side Mac-N-Cheese
Hector N.

Went for lunch on Father's Day. It was busy but not overwhelming. It was just my son and I so we had a very little wait time to be seated. Food was good as usual. Went with the burgers and wings. I wish the wings would have came out sooner than the burgers but not a huge deal. My son loved the Mac n cheese I tried it and was good. Creamy and cheesy! Burgers were cooked to perfect temp as requested. Our waitress I believe her name was Katie was very attentive and checked on us frequently. Would recommend.

Chicken Salad in a bread bowl, baked with cheese.

We stopped in, and you should too. After a bit of a slow start due to their staffing issues, our waitress was personable and attentive. The menu has great choices that I haven't seen elsewhere. I ordered chicken salad in a bread bowl, and it was really delicious. The bowl is topped with cheese and popped in the over, so it arrives hot. The bread bowl had a wonderfully crispy crust and tender inside, and the chicken salad was warm and tasty. I've had soup bread bowls, but not hot and crispy, and of course, not chicken salad. The sides menu is a long list; I chose onion rings. They were plentiful, crunchy, and very flavorful - as far from the heavily breaded limp onion rings most places serve as you could get. We ate in the late afternoon, but the place still had several parties like us. We liked the vibe, casually upscale, and unpretentious. Go!

Truffle parmesan fries

We had 8 members from our lunch group here today for lunch. Great service...waitress set up a high table for eight and took our drinks quickly. We had three orders for the Madarin Chicken Salad, two pizzas, a prime rib sandwich, a hamburger, and a chicken wrap. Also had a side order of the truffle parmesan fries. The fries were great and everyone liked them. The Mandarin Chicken Salad was also very good, loaded with mandarin oranges, crisp lettuce, nuts and tons of other goodies. The salad dressing was fabulous. All three of us liked it. Pizzas were great and so was the hamburger and wrap. All in all it was one of our top rated lunches this year. We rate everything on a 10 scale so it ended up with a 9.25 average...so half to give it a 5 based on the Yelp 5 star system.

Peanut butter pie

We for lunch meeting, food and service were great! Want to go back since there was some interesting options I wasn't able to try this time. We started with the loaded nachos and they were a hit, they did not skimp on the meat or the cheese, each chip had a topping. The wraps were on the lighter side could have had more filling, but tasted good. The fries were basic not a fav, but the onion rings were awesome. The chicken pot pie soup was delicious. It's a great space with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating along with a full bar inside. The peanut butter pie was delicious, it was very tasty!

Chicken florentine

So thankful for a covered dog friendly patio on a chilly and rainy day! The host was so nice to our pup, he immediately brought her out a bowl of water and a cup of whipped cream with treats! Love the patio, I would sit out there even if we hadn't brought our dog. The patio is covered, has heaters for when it's cool out and on a Saturday all of the TVs were playing college football. The steak is incredible here and the main reason we came for dinner. Portion sizes are amazing, you get two sides plus a soup or salad with the sirloin. The steak was perfectly cooked and I really liked both the chicken florentine and beef chili soup options. Plenty of free street parking. This place will be on a regular rotation while I'm in Columbia!

I have learned since moving to South Carolina that there are very few dining options available on a Sunday for brunch. If you do find anything, be prepared to wait excessively. Today we drove to Columbia, and as usual massive crowds upon entering. What was different what was how it was handled. One staff member took our drink order while our server was tied up. She was adorable, her name was Tamara.. Our server , Jacob, was so sweet and apologized for making us wait. He made great suggestions on entrees especially the Cajun pasta. It was amazing with a spicy sauce., blackened chicken and asparagus. They know how to deal with massive crowds and also make sure quality and service don't suffer. Really impressive. Should you go? Absolutely...

Lump Crab Cake Sandwich

Came in on a Friday night, not too crowded and easily grabbed a seat at the bar. Bartender was great and attentive. Started with the mussels, not great, but good. Large portion and only one was closed. Then got the crab cake sandwich, again, good but not great. Though I didn't have a bad experience at all, I was expected the food to be better.

Came here for a social with my gym members. Service was nice and the food was actually quite delicious. Multiple different seating areas to fit anyone's liking. The drinks are also amazing and I definitely see myself coming back to visit again to try the pizza next time.

Lump Crab Cake Sandwich w/Truffle Parmesan Fries
K B.

Our group had chicken tenders, big burger, and the crab cake sandwich, all with the truffle parm fries and mostly enjoyed everything. Personally, I thought the crab cake sandwich was good-not great, but the fries weren't good. They were soggy, drenched in too much truffle oil and the cheese didn't taste like parm to me. But, Natalie's takeout customer service was excellent!

Plenty of comfortable seating

We came for a late lunch after reading about their onion rings. Our timing was perfect because most people had left so we had a very comfortable booth. Music was not overly loud We both had club sandwich and onion rings Because one order was big enough to share. Our server, Alex, was outstanding and took good care of us. We have found a new favorite restaurant!

Besties trying something NEW in South Carolina.

The atmosphere was nice but the food was "blah"... it wasn't my cup of tea and it didn't spark my tastebuds. I really don't don't have alot to say.

Sesame Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna with Asian Kale Salad
Demitri L.

Stopped here for the first time to meet a friend for lunch. Got here right when they opened, staff were immediately friendly and welcoming as I headed to the bar. The interior is a nice, comfy design featuring a nice modern look with gamecock memorabilia as decorations. Our bartender was awesome, friendly and very helpful in recommending food for first timers. She recommended the sesame crusted ahi on top of the kale salad for me, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Bright flavors with the bitterness of kale, and the fresh flavors of ahi made the salad a solid 9/10 for me. My counterpart got the chicken wrap and had the chicken tossed in honey sriracha, which was outstanding as well. For a lowkey, main staple on Devine, this is a solid place to go and spend some time.

What's the parking like?

There's some rear parking, along the side (like enough for 4 cars), street parking of course with a small walk depending on distance, but they do provide valet.

When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!

I forgot his name but he served us on the patio. The weather was actually perfect yesterday, sunny not too hot, fans were going so you could feel the breeze. We got the seafood trio as an appetizer and everything was well done. The shrimp cocktail was nicely seasoned. I really liked that instead of just having plain shrimp. The fried oysters were nice but I wish I had known about the pineapple on top because I would have requested it not on there, it made the breading a little soggy. But nonetheless the flavor was still good and oysters were fresh. My bf loved the cucumber kimchi. We also enjoyed the crab cake. I would have preferred a little bit crisper outside but the flavor was really good. For dinner I got the fish du jour which was a grilled triple tail (I believe he said). It was cooked perfectly but did not have a lot of flavor. I assumed they didn't want to over power the fish because I had it with crispy brussel sprouts which were salty and a spinach and corn risotto which was amazing. Everything paired well together. My bf got the lamb rack and it was the perfect medium rare. For dessert if you have creme brulee on your menu I'm getting it ! It's my favorite dessert. The custard was a little undercooked because it was a bit runny but the flavor was amazing. You could see the little pieces of vanilla bean. And the sugar on top was thick so it was a lot sweeter than most creme brûlées I've had. I'd give it an 8/10. My bf got the strawberry hand pie (I think it was) and he doesn't like sweets too much but he said it was good and the ice cream wasn't too sweet. The pastry looked delicious. They gave us complimentary champagne for my birthday and it was so good. It tasted like my favorite Chandon spritz. So it really was a perfect way to end the night. Overall it was a 9/10 experience and I'd love to come.

In addition, my waitress was nice, but I would've liked it if she was a tad more attentive. Although I didn't drink on this occasion, I've been to Publico in the past, and I will say that their margaritas are much better than comparable Mexican places. So, perhaps if you're looking for a Mexican place that has good drinks rather than great food, Publico seems like a nice option. As for the ambiance, it was a cool place. It was dimly lit, and they had TVs all over the back wall where you could watch the day's sporting events. The bar looked like it had a cool vibe as well, and they have a back patio that's perfect for outside dining. All-in-all, I'd probably go back and recommend Publico for drinks and ambiance, but would likely head elsewhere if I'm looking for great Mexican food.

We had reservations and were seated promptly in a comfortable booth near the front windows, where I thoroughly enjoyed watching the rain fall while we settled in for dinner. Our server, Alexis B., was as sweet as could be. Friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening, she did everything she could to make our experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, things went downhill when one of my dining companions disclosed an onion allergy. To be clear, the issue wasn't Alexis - it was the response from management. What should have been a straightforward conversation turned into a surprisingly frustrating ordeal involving both a manager and assistant manager, neither of whom handled the situation particularly well. We ordered a roasted beet salad for the table, drinks including a club soda and Cola's 76, and my friends planned to split the hamburger. When the burger arrived, it consisted of a bun and a beef patty. That's it. No toppings. Nothing. When we asked what happened, we were told it was due to concerns about cross contamination. Now, I fully appreciate restaurants taking food allergies seriously. In fact, I encourage it. But there was a complete lack of communication, flexibility, or customer service surrounding the situation. When additional toppings and accompaniments were eventually brought out separately, there was no explanation, apology, or acknowledgment of the confusion. The entire interaction left a really, really bad taste in our mouths. As for my own meal, things were much better. I enjoyed a strawberry mojito, a half-dozen oysters Rockefeller, and the gnocchi caprese. The gnocchi was quite unique and something I don't often see on menus. The food itself was enjoyable. So, in the end, this review comes down to the service experience. Alexis was wonderful. The atmosphere was inviting. The food ranged from good to very good. But the way management handled a simple allergy accommodation turned what could have been a four- or five-star experience into a frustrating one. Sweet server. Cozy atmosphere. Sour management. Kind of like an onion, I guess!

Our server was nice. I ordered the lamb chop meal, which came with two sides. I selected the mac & cheese with the collard greens. I was told both were popular. The lamb itself was seasoned well. The sauce they include for it on the side was horrible. It had a overpowering vinegar taste. I hated it! The mac & cheese was basic and I didn't care for all of the parsley packed on top. I was told 5 cheeses are used in their mac recipe but I couldn't tell. It had no real flavor. The greens were just okay. It was supposed to have spices in it from what I was told but I had to dump a cup of hot sauce in it for the spice and flavor. One of my sisters ordered salmon.
