STAY AWAY!!! The food at Backwoods is an absolute joke. I ordered a wing dings dinner and even though I was STARVING when I received the order, I could barely eat it because of how bad the food was!!! The fries were SO SOGGY & UNDERCOOKED. Absolutely no salt too. I picked up the fry and it just looked so sad. As for the wings, they were FATTY and tasted OLD. I also got a small salad with the order and the cucumbers had an extremely ODD taste. Safe to say, I will NEVER be ordering from Backwoods again and I advise you do the same. Save yourself the stress and order from one of the many other local pizza shops!

First of all let me say my food was awesome And I only have one problem with this restaurant When I ordered a hamburger sub there was a number of toppings I could put on my sub I only chose one topping that cost money all of the other ones that I chose were listed has free (Or so I thought) after getting my food and eating later that day I received a text message saying the restaurant requested I pay for a topping they had listed for free granted it wasn't a lot of money it wasn't even a dollar so I paid for it but still if you have something listed has free it should be free So basically it was my first time ordering from there and it will be my last I don't like hidden charges

As tables became available, they would call people inside. I ended up at a small table by the bar area. I ordered a small chicken and prosciutto pizza. It was excellent and perfectly cooked as promised. The flavor combination was great: prosciutto, chicken, spinach, ricotta, roasted peppers, sauce, and mozzarella. So big I couldn't finish it. (Hubby was happy because he got to try something too when I got back.) In terms of service, it's the north end so a little brusque, but you'll be happy you came.

1 star First off,…read morethe pizza we received was super oily and I had to use about 10 napkins to make it edible. We ordered a pizza by phone during the St. Anthony Feast, and the woman who took our order was curt and rude from the start -- I chalked it up to the festival rush. But it got worse when we picked up. We paid $32 for a pizza and asked if we could sit inside to eat it and there were plenty of available tables. We were told no -- inside is table service only, and takeout means you take it and eat elsewhere. Fine, except there was nowhere to sit outside at the festival. When we asked about using one of their own outdoor tables (they had roughly 30, and it was 11:15am, 45 minutes before the festival even started, so the tables were empty), we were told those were reserved for table-service customers only. This was after we'd already spent $32 in their restaurant. Regina's has been around for 100 years, but somewhere along the way they stopped caring about basic hospitality. Paying customers with nowhere to eat their food shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience. We won't be back.

You can immediately tell this place takes pride in what they do, especially when you see the chefs in action. Watching them work with the freshly made dough and expertly handle the pizza oven added such a fun and authentic touch to the experience. The food was absolutely incredible. The pizza was hands down one of the best we've had--perfectly crisp crust, fresh ingredients, and full of flavor in every bite. We also ordered the cucumber salad, which was refreshing, light, and the perfect complement to the richness of the pizza. Everything about our visit felt thoughtfully done, from the quality of the food to the energy of the space. If you're in Boston and looking for a spot with amazing pizza, fresh ingredients, and a great vibe, The Salty Pig is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back! We had just arrived to Boston and we were starving so I didn't take photos.

There were seating inside and outside. Inside was a lot larger than it looks. But they were understaffed and our waitress was running between both areas. When we could get her attention she was incredibly polite and professional but she could only do so much. After we ordered it too over 20 minutes for a proscutto cotto sandwich and two Margherita pizzas to come out. She was kind enough to ask them to add an egg to the sandwich which is usually added to a pizza. The sandwich was basically a fancy ham sandwich which was still pretty good. The egg elevated it in my opinion. The pizzas were also good, chewy dough, fresh ingredients, and not too charred. Then we looked for her to get the check. It took another 20 minutes before we could leave. The process just took too long.

The peppers weren't spicy but added perfect acid to the whole pizza. The dough was amazing and it was flawlessly cooked (which for a true Napolitano pizza is a challenge) which is a good sign for any pizza from here. The wife had the Gnochetti which had the important trick of knowing to mix the gnocchi and the short rib into one amazing concoction. Trust me on this one. We closed with the Nutella pizza which I've had at numerous other restaurants and Ciao's was hands down the best ever. Make sure to save room for this... seriously. We really fell in love with Ciao! and will 100% be coming back the next time we're in town.

We found the folks here to be so welcoming and genuine in their desire to provide a delicious meal and experience. This is a small casual cafe with takeout service and a small eat in space and in good weather, outdoor seating, though limited. Excellent prompt service by the charming staffers. Four of us shared the Fungi pizza and the Margherita pizza. Both were delicious with a crisp thin crust and so fresh tasting. In addition we tried a plate of their Short Ribs which tasted homemade for sure. The menu also offered several pasta choices. The desserts shared were cannoli, tiramisu and a mousse. All delicious. This is a definite "return to" pizzeria.
