NASTY wing dings dinner

STAY AWAY!!! The food at Backwoods is an absolute joke. I ordered a wing dings dinner and even though I was STARVING when I received the order, I could barely eat it because of how bad the food was!!! The fries were SO SOGGY & UNDERCOOKED. Absolutely no salt too. I picked up the fry and it just looked so sad. As for the wings, they were FATTY and tasted OLD. I also got a small salad with the order and the cucumbers had an extremely ODD taste. Safe to say, I will NEVER be ordering from Backwoods again and I advise you do the same. Save yourself the stress and order from one of the many other local pizza shops!

First of all let me say my food was awesome And I only have one problem with this restaurant When I ordered a hamburger sub there was a number of toppings I could put on my sub I only chose one topping that cost money all of the other ones that I chose were listed has free (Or so I thought) after getting my food and eating later that day I received a text message saying the restaurant requested I pay for a topping they had listed for free granted it wasn't a lot of money it wasn't even a dollar so I paid for it but still if you have something listed has free it should be free So basically it was my first time ordering from there and it will be my last I don't like hidden charges

I only gave a star because I had to and they don't even deserve that! This was my first experience ordering from here and I'll never go back! My large cheese pizza was burnt to the point that I thought it had BBQ sauce on it! My bf and I each tried a slice to see if it was that bad. IT WAS! When I asked for another pizza I was told that I picked it up late so they couldn't do anything about it. Which makes absolutely NO SENSE. That just confirmed that they did indeed burn my pizza. NEVER AGAIN. Horrible customer service! Update because I couldn't respond to the owner: According to my receipts I did NOT arrive two hours later. I arrived within an hour of placing my order at 6:16pm. My receipt said the pizza would be ready between 6:40-6:50pm. I picked up the pizza shortly after. I spoke to Grubhub before 8:00p. Where exactly did two hours pass in between that? There's a huge difference in a pizza being a bit cold after waiting about 10 minutes to be picked up (which good customer service means the people working would've kept it warm) versus a pizza being completely burnt. Last night the owner told the Grubhub rep that the pizza wouldn't be replaced because I showed up late. Even the rep said that doesn't make any sense as to why the pizza was burnt.

So we made the trek up to Thacher...it's not in the middle of all the Italian places, but not too far, either. Of course we had blistering heat on July 4 and there was a line. We were told 20 minutes to wait and the line did move as promised. Note that there were some locals in line with us. Regina's is not a tourist trap. We wanted to do a half and half pizza with pepperoni and chicken pesto, but were told you had to do a "build your own" for that. Two small pizzas were not too much higher in cost than a large. Prices are reasonable, we spent less than $50 for two small pizzas and two drinks. The pizzas were very good and the crust was excellent. Service was good. The place is small and I hear the Thacher location is better than the Fanueil Hall location. The menu has quite a few options, including a couple of vegetarian pizzas.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service felt efficient even when the restaurant was busy. The food was the standout. You can immediately tell this place takes pride in what they do, especially when you see the chefs in action. Watching them work with the freshly made dough and expertly handle the pizza oven added such a fun and authentic touch to the experience. The food was absolutely incredible. The pizza was hands down one of the best we've had--perfectly crisp crust, fresh ingredients, and full of flavor in every bite. We also ordered the cucumber salad, which was refreshing, light, and the perfect complement to the richness of the pizza. Everything about our visit felt thoughtfully done, from the quality of the food to the energy of the space. If you're in Boston and looking for a spot with amazing pizza, fresh ingredients, and a great vibe, The Salty Pig is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back! We had just arrived to Boston and we were starving so I didn't take photos.
