    Cesar salad

If you don't have the ingredients to make a dish properly just say that!! No pita bread! Plain toasted bread instead of seasoned croutons! Yellow lettuce!! Parmesan cheese the goes on pizza not salad! I could have ordered something else!! Couldn't take it back because my break is only 30 mins!!

I'm actually getting salivating while posting this review and looking back at my food pictures. I get the Eggplant & Ricotta Pizza as my appetizer and the Rigatoni Amatriciana as my entree each time I go - because they're consistently amazing. The service is always warm and friendly, and I also love the music playlist they play. Believe the hype & come to Tonino!!

However, I don't know that it lived up to the hype that I anticipated. We got the pizza Bianca with ricotta with hot honey, which was basically just like plain toasted focaccia and ricotta (wasn't anything to write home about). The taleggio was 100% our least favorite and we didn't even finish half. We had asked the waiter to describe taste profile, which they said was a "little funky" and had asked for clarification if it was closer to blue cheese. Once it arrived, it was like a verrrrrry strong/stinky Brie on the inside. The balsamic didn't really contribute to the taste at all. Sad that we didn't like this/kinda made me feel yucky after eating. The cavatelli was very good- nice light creamy sauce with the sausage and bitter broccolini. Very well balanced. Forgot to take a pic of the tiramisu but it was good, too! It's kinda salty (they add sea salt to the top). Drink menu was limited. Had two different glasses of red wine but wish they had something more full bodied on the menu!

I would go back just for that - crispy + slicing with scissors adds a whole other feel to it. I feel in control of my flatbread. Calamari was good but I'd choose the flatbread over anything. Can't go wrong with fig, goat cheese, and prosciutto. Emma didn't like the dill on there but I didn't mind. Enjoyed with a nice glass of white wine while we dined outside.

Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, but it's super convenient to get to via the Green Line, which made it easy overall. For food, everything was delicious: The Romaine & Kale Caesar was good, though I wish it had whole anchovies for a little extra punch. The prosciutto bruschetta was incredible, definitely a standout. The crispy cauliflower was my favorite dish of the night, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rigatoni bolognese was solid and comforting. The Chianti-Marsala braised beef short rib was insanely tender and cooked perfectly (just wish there were a few more mushrooms!). Also have to mention the dirty martini was so good. Overall, such a great spot with a fun vibe, amazing service, and really tasty food. I'll definitely be back!

Honestly, everything was so tasty and flavorful, plus the portions were huge for a terrific price! I was so excited for my leftovers the next day. They were super accommodating and provided great recommendations as well. The pasta sauces were incredible -- my friend ate the bread with the sauce and said it was heavenly. Major shoutout for the great service provided by Jimmy as well, he was so friendly and caring! It made this meal feel extra homey. Which was a plus. We were seated right away. Nice table with a very pleasant but absent minded server. It's small plates and now pizza. We ordered the brussel sprouts, ceviche, wild ramps, wagyu beef , salad, mushroom pizza and dessert. We each ordered a drink. For hits -- brussel sprouts were a bit, good crunch and sweetness. The salad had a great crunch and was well prepared. Mushroom pizza was maybe the highlight. As good is not better than Posto. Very well executed. The best of the best was the donut. Amazing donut! For misses -- the ceviche we could not find the fish and it was over powered by the seasonings. The ramps again all we could taste was the cilantro. Wagyu beef - my friend is a huge fan of it. She found it chewy and oddly paired with grits? Other notes -- this place was so loud that we could not hear each other, almost at a night club level. Unpleasant. Service was very inconsistent and I'd offer not up to their standards. Last the price we spent $240 for two people. Between the ambiance and the food misses, I think this is a hard pass going forward. Pizza was amazing.
