I left a 5 star reviews 3 years back, and I still stand by it. Had an issue with my order being placed at a different location. I didn't know they had multiple, and the website isn't user friendly on this option. The owner Roberto fixed this and I know he really didn't want to. I did not have time to drive all the way to the loop and back. It's difficult to dine out in this economy, $12 can be a lot for a meal. But it's a DELICIOUS breakfast burrito. One of the best I've ever had. Super filing, easily shareable. And great for those who like spice because they have great sauces! It's also packaged well to go. read more

I travel for work a lot especially to San Diego which is "Burrito Meca". Finding a quality place in Chicago has led to many wasted calories and quite a bit of disappointment. But when I ordered them (it's a ghost kitchen) I was very excited to see a Chicago take on the West Coast staple. This place has some epic burritos for sure! They look, smell, and taste delicious.... For the first 1/4 of it. Then you realize you're being tricked with their extreme usage of salt and umami flavoring. It becomes overwhelming no matter how hungry you are and setting it down is a MUST. Nothing about these burritos is meant to be "authentic" and so I won't judge them on that. They are great as a stand-alone, giant, delicious burrito. BUT a great burrito only needs hot salsa and a plate with corn tortillas underneath it; not a "secret sauce". It's delicious but it's also a sensory overload. read more

Bad Ass Breakfast Burritos is a spot that has popped up on my Uber Eats often. I finally decided to give them a try and - wow - am I glad I did. The prices are good and seem on par with most places I order from for a meal. The delivery was FAST compared to other restaurants I regularly order from. Because eggs can be tough with delivery, I was a little skeptical. When I unwrapped my burrito my first thoughts were how gigantic it was and quickly followed by happily seeing how warm and fresh it was. I ordered the Haus burrito (twice now LOL) with scrambled eggs. WOW. A really solid breakfast burrito. The onions add great flavor, the eggs were cooked perfect, the cheese was melty, and I love the hash browns/tater tots inside. The house sauce that comes on the side is also *chefs kiss* and I could put it on anything. Burrito is big enough to definitely be two meals for me. My experience was so great here that I bragged to my roommate and treated them to a burrito on my next order. I love this place and love having another quick, affordable and filling place to order from! read more

I've been ordering from Bad-Ass Breakfast Burritos since COVID and working from home more; sometimes you just crave a good, hearty breakfast. I'll say that some times are better than others, but it averages out to a 4/5 and overall I'd recommend this place to people. My go to is the Haus burrito - it's creamy from the cheese, crunchy from the tater tots, and hearty with the eggs and bacon. I also add the hot sauce to my burrito to give it more heat and it's perfect. FYI with the bacon being rolled up inside the burrito with everything else, don't expect it to be crispy. It still adds that fatty goodness though! Like what other Yelpers are saying, it can be a hit or miss on the filling to tater tot ratio and there is some variance in size depending on the day you go. We just ordered from here today for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised to get a lot of filling and a larger burrito. I think it's the luck of the draw and which employee is working that day. While consistency isn't Bad-Ass Breakfast Burritos specialty, I will say that this place scratches the itch when you're craving a breakfast burrito. Had very high expectations for this place, but it was just ok. I got the borracho burito and my partner got the beyond breakfast burrito. Here are some points to note. Cons: - Both burritos were about 70% tater tots lol. So you're literally eating mostly carbs wrapped in carbs that are just slightly seasoned. - The protein in both burritos were incredibly sparse. Do you know what fresh bacon bits look like? That's what the "bacon" in my burrito looked like. There was also a single egg. - Nothing was seasoned. When you order you receives two sauces with your burrito. My mistake was tossing the sauces, because it needed flavor. Pros: - This burrito is MASSIVE (thanks to all the tots lol). I only ate half of it partially because of its size but also because bro, I don't understand how anyone can eat that many tater tots lol. - Hangover cure. Definitely did the trick, which is wild. Expensive and just not that great, Bad-Ass Burritos was just bad. My husband liked his burrito more than I liked mine because it had a good amount of bacon but overall the burritos just lacked flavor. My stomach was upset for the rest of the day after eating it, and I attribute it mostly to the vegetarian meat option that was in my burrito. I wouldn't recommend trying that, but you might be okay ordering regular meat. read more

For $10, the Pastrami burrito was a great deal. There are 3 eggs, tater tots and a good amount of pastrami. I recommend getting the free hot sauce add on. The yolks of the over easy eggs gave a nice creamy texture. The acidity of the hot sauce really helps cut through the rich fattiness of the burrito. The chili aioli had a bit of kick to it. When we went for pickup yesterday, we were confused since we couldn't find the store front. Our online order was ready inside the Dog Haus restaurant. My wishes were granted! I first tried Bad-Ass breakfast burritos in Denver earlier this year and was blown away by it. So to my delight when I found out it was brought to Chicago I was definitely hyped. Pro tip: it's located within Dog Haus but you can only order online via grubhub/Yelp app. Unfortunately you cannot order in person. I ordered the Chachi Burrito. Compared to its Denver counterpart, this burrito was huge! I could only eat 1/3 of my burrito. It definitely hit the spot. I'll have to try another burrito the next time. read more

We love love looooove bad-ass breakfast burritos! I've never been a huge fan of breakfast burritos but after smelling my boyfriend's burrito I couldn't resist. They're exactly what they sound like, gigantic, hasbrown and egg filled, breakfast burritos. We normally do the Beyond Breakfast Burrito and eat half for one meal and save the rest for the next day. The beyond burrito is definitely a cheat meal without it being too heavy (if you only eat half). Highly recommended!! read more

If I could give them a zero, I would. Good food does not make up for piss poor management. Roberto is a jerk. I placed a catering order for a company outing for 12 people. I was specific that the order had to be ready by 9:30 am. When I got there, they told me it would be 15 minutes and due to a miscommunication, the order had not been started. I immediately called Roberto, the manager with whom I placed the order and instead of being apologetic, he told me that the order wasn't started because I didn't pay for it yet. He never asked me to prepay and I very directly told him that if I needed to prepay, he should have told me as much then he told me I was being rude. I went in and paid and it took them over 25 minutes to get the food. Horrible business and shameful attitude. Too bad. I like the food but I will never order from there again. Jerk! read more

I feel compelled to share my experience with Bad-Ass Breakfast Burritos. A close friend encouraged me to order from the kitchen one night. Since then, I haven't looked back. Bad-Ass Breakfast Burritos is my go-to late night food choice (incredible sober as well). Generally, I get the Haus Burrito. Let me tell you, any restaurant should strive to have the level of consistency, day after day, that Bad-Ass Breakfast Burrito has. My first ghost kitchen experience! Pro tip - it's located inside of doghaus. I got the Haus burrito and a side of tots. The burritos are definitely huge - I couldn't finish it all! I have enough for my breakfast tomorrow. The caramelized onions give a sweet taste that goes well with the rest of the savory breakfast. Make sure to keep the sauces that are given on the side because they're great to dunk tots in or pour on before you take a bite of the burrito. The tots were crispy and cooked to perfection. We tried to order from this place through GrubHub. After over two hours our order never came. The GrubHub driver had no idea where the order was; we called the number to try and talk to the restaurant. The person who answered was remarkably unhelpful and rude. He said he had no idea about the status of the order, said he had 46 orders in 12 minutes, refused to answer anything other than "questions about the recipe", and was overall really rude. Shout out to GrubHub's customer service though (they couldn't even get ahold of the kitchen to check on the order); she was very helpful. This place screams scam....order somewhere else. read more

We ordered through UberEats so we can't speak to how clean/hygienic the restaurant was. One small issue we had was that they mislabeled our two burritos, switching the names. We were a couple of bites in, thinking we were crazy until we realized that the labels were switched. Mistakes happen, so we get it! The burritos themselves were really good! We ordered the Bronco and the Hangover burritos. Just a warning, these burritos are FAT and could definitely leave you with a meal + small snack or 2 small meals. I thought the Bronco burrito was okay and definitely gave a breakfast-y vibe. All of the components were delicious and reminded me a classic American breakfast. However, the true star was the Hangover burrito, straying very far away from what would be an appropriate breakfast/brunch meal. I believe that burrito was named/created after Sam the Cooking Guy, a youtuber known for pushing the boundaries of drunk food. And boy oh boy, he did just that with this burrito. Hash browns, caramelized onions, unbelievably well-seasoned meat - very necessary for a hangover or just if you're a person who doesn't mind rich foods in the morning. One thing you know if you watched his videos is that he likes to extensively season every ingredient/component of the dish so that no individual part is lacking. You could really tell that this burrito followed the same principles because every bite packed a PUNCH. The slight sweetness from the onions + sauce balanced very well with the savory aspects of the dish. Did I feel full after finishing the first half of the burrito? Yes. Did I push myself to finish the rest of it? Yes. Did I regret it? Not one bit. One small complaint is that I wished the hash brown was slightly more crispy, but it may be too much of a lofty dream given the other components within the burrito + transit time for delivery. However, the overall experience was AMAZING. I definitely would reorder this amazing burrito again. 4.5/5 stars. read more

I was super excited for my burritos as I hadn't eaten all day. I ordered of Uber eats and I am not a picky eater at all. But I'm not lying when I say these were the worst burritos I've ever had.
