This is a great, thick Sando that can be split between 2 people OR you can eat 1 half now and save the other for another day/time. It is filled with lots of goodies and they load on the meat. I came here 2 x in a weekend, and it is quickly becoming my favorite breakfast joint in the City! A family owned and run operation, I ventured here both Friday and Saturday. Friday morning after 10 am is definitely the best time to avoid longer lines. That said they do offer the option to order online for pickup! Saturday it was quite busy with a line out of the door, but the entire staff was friendly nonetheless. Thus far I've had a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and a cold brew. The coffee is hands down my favorite in the City. The bagel sandwich was quite good, and they offer so many other sandwich and salad options that I can't wait to try them again soon. There is plenty of indoor seating and I love how bright and modern the interior is. I look forward to including this in my regular rotation. read more

The people are nice and the ambience is good. The problem is the prices of the sandwiches for what you actually receive. I ordered two turkey sandwiches. While they may slice the turkey fresh, what they actually put on the sandwiches is half of one slice of turkey & the rest of the turkey is simply small clumps from previously sliced pieces. The price for a turkey "clump" sandwich is $17 pretax. They either need to put full-sized SLICES of turkey on a sandwich, or significantly lower the price. Overall the food may be fresh, but the prices, & what's actually put on a sandwich, make this a ripoff. read more

Yup yup yup yup! Holds up in the new location. It is way bigger than the other location, but still the same reliable food. I got the bacon, egg and cheese on an egg everything bagel and added a hash-brown. It hits for sure. I definitely would come back here to try literally anything on the menu? The actual space is pretty airy with a decent amount of seating options. Service is at the counter and was a bit slow, but still quick enough. Slightly overpriced, paid $50 for 2 bagel sandwiches and 2 coffees which is why I'm giving it 4 stars, but overall extremely tasty. The pastrami was amazing, very tender and flavorful. Turkey sausage also is great. Awesome ambience inside, feels like a mid century modern 70's diner. Service is super friendly as well. Great latte and they offer non dairy oat milk option. I am a sucker for jewish deli Bagels-pastrami - corned beef. I order the 1/4 LB pastrami sandwich. Its a plain, very small (like the ends of the rye loaf small) sandwich with a soggy pickle. The pastrami is cut thick (as opposed to shaved) so its a solid bite of pastrami and placed on the bread. Mustard is packed separately. The cashier announced that my order would have to be TO GO since they close in 14 minutes. as if those 14 minutes would have been needed to eat the 4 bites of the sandwich and soggy pickle. all this for $18.00. Great deli find in Lincoln Park! Schneider Deli is hands down the best in the city. Their gravlox is incredible, and the corned beef is spot on classic deli quality. They've got some really unique sandwich combos you won't find anywhere else, plus the space has this warm, homey feel that makes you want to linger. THE AUTHENTIC JEWISH DELI EXPERIENCE (TM)? Sort of. With House music. And fancy espresso coffees (although these aren't great, sorry to say). The big downfall is that they do not make the bagels on site. That aspect alone makes the entire exercise feel a bit performative. On the plus side, the large crew is super efficient and busy and the kitchen outputs are perfectly in the acceptable to acceptable + range. Menu offerings have range. There's cheese, milk, and bacon so not your grandfather's jewish deli. The space is useful and pleasant. read more

This second location for Schneide Deli recently open in Lincoln Park. It is a small cozy place with 8 seats at the counter along the windows and 4 booths. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. I had the Rueben sandwich, which is a favorite of mine. Their Rueben is made with pastrami, which I prefer as it has more flavor than corned beef. They also switched out the typical Swiss cheese for pepper jack and jazzed up the Russian dressing with some spice to tingle the taste buds. Add sauerkraut and you'll have one of the most flavorful Reuben sandwich that I have ever had. I will most certainly return to Schneider Deli. read more

New to the neighborhood and looks to be very popular so far - I went on a weekday morning and we sat in a booth which was really nice. The service was really friendly and they frequently topped off our coffee which I appreciated. I had an Asiago bagel with cream cheese. I was assuming that since Schneiders looks to be a true deli, that the bagel would have that New York, H&H, true bagel chew. It definitely did not. It was very fresh and moist but was more like a dinner roll shaped like a bagel. The cream cheese almost seemed out of place on such a small, squishy roll. That was disappointing and I won't be getting a bagel there again. But I might try their corned beef. read more

Finally tried this deli today. Love this corner deli & can't wait to go back! Plenty of guidance when ordering. Dined in - scored a booth late week day morning. Tried a few things. The egg everything bagel lightly toasted w onion & chive schmear. Perfection. Matzo ball soup was really satisfying. Bowl was filled with 2 good sized matzo balls & there were tasty bites of carrots & celery in the tasty broth. My 1/4 lb corned beef on rye did not disappoint. The meat was lean & supple. The rye bread was fresh. Their dill pickle is a preferred crunchy new pickle. The coleslaw was creamy. Topped it off with a Dr Brown's root beer. I would like to see a seedless rye option on the menu for sandwiches like a marble rye. Next visits, I plan to try a soft salami sandwich, reuben & brisket & pastrami sandwich. The soup of the day was cabbage. If I wasn't so set on the matzo ball, I would've tried the special. The soup spoons should be deeper. The staff is eager to please & the space has a nice ambiance. I was told that you can order on line & skip the waiting line & go to the pick up counter to carry out. Disappointing take out order: only positive thing I can say is that things are fresh and bagels are acceptable (except that I paid for 12 and they gave me 11). Coleslaw, chop liver tasteless. Please under any circumstances don't call those tiny greasy things latkes. As for the gravelax, avoid it: chunks of fish full of dark parts.
