Nice server but poor service. Not crowded at all but took 30 minutes for our burger and the fries were not served with it. Our food was dropped off by the manager with no apology for missing food only that we'll get the fries soon. After waiting another 10 min, my husband got the server's attention and she just brought the fries over and leaves them at the table. As we were finishing our meal, a different server brings the Moscow Mule I had ordered to be served with my meal. She said that she noticed that it was just sitting at the bar. I said no thanks. Unless this restaurant undertakes new management this spot will be closed within six months. We went at 5pm on a Friday there were maybe 5 tables with customers and a staff of around ten working and it was the slowest service I have seen in a while. The staff stood around in the back talking doing nothing our waitress barely checked in on us and it took at least 45 min to prep one burger an app and chicken tenders. One chef was sitting at a table on his phone for prob 30 min while we were there. Overpriced and very poorly managed restaurant, I would not recommend this spot. read more

Went to First Watch next door on Sunday at noon and there was a 40 minute wait so we decided to try this place. We walked in and there were only four tables with customers so my wife looks at me and says this doesn't look good. We sat at our table for 10 minutes without an acknowledgement that we were there. After 10 minutes of sitting I had to ask three different people for a server. Server came out and took our drink order then disappeared. I watched the "bartender" pour my wife's wine then go find someone to tell her how to make a Bloody Mary. I then watched those two stand there and chat for 10 minutes with my Bloody Mary mix in her hand. So it was over 20 minutes with no drinks or food order of course we walk out. I watched the over employee's while setting there waiting and nobody had a clue of what they were doing. You can make your own opinion but we will never go back there. read more

***UPDATE*** I have added a few stars due to the fact that General manager Joey Land went above and beyond to get to the bottom of his staff's failure to properly handle my situation. Also Kudos to Amy N. for responding to my Yelp review and getting the ball rolling. Joey made things right. I would have raised it from 1 star to 5 but the attitude of the location manager prevents that. Don't forget personal items at Bad Daddy's or you'll never see them again. On Friday evening I left a black hat at my table. After I left I realized I had forgotten it and called back right away. The person who answered said they had it and would put it in Lost & Found. I was unable to go back right away as were seeing a play down the street and it was about to start. I went in Saturday morning to retrieve my hat and Kinsey told me she couldn't find it. She took my name and number and said she would call when she got in touch with the person who put it in Lost & Found. I never received a call so I called called Sunday morning and was told someone had picked up a black hat on Saturday. The manager I spoke with on Sunday morning was very dismissive and acted as though he didn't have time for my 'petty issue'. read more

This wasn't just Bad Daddy's, this was more like Dead Beat Daddy's. I've had Bad Daddy's on numerous occasions and I've eaten at this location a few times as well and usually my experience has always been good. However this time around...not so much. I guess the lack of customers on a Saturday should have been my tell tell sign but none the less my belly was fighting with hunger but unfortunately it was not satisfied with the goodness I remembered in the past. Majority of the food was lacking in flavor and taste and didn't seem to be prepped and cooked properly. The only upside of the experience was my $7 cider and the waitress. Very lovely woman who has strong customer service skills. But sadly even that alone won't have me coming back. read more

MR says....Service was very slow..like sloth slow..then the food quality was just bad..burgers overcooked...fries came up in one big chunk..what a joke. It's kind of surprising how difficult its become to find a decent burger in East Cobb. Sure, there are lots of places that have burgers, and in a pinch there's always Wendy's, but for whatever reason the two Wendy's in my general zip code are always slam packed to the gills to the point where I don't even consider them whenever I'm in the mood for a burger. The wife suggested Bad Daddy's, and I figured why not give them a whirl, to see how they measure up, plus I hadn't been to a new place in eons since at the time I'm writing this, we're in COVID-19 Delta variant era of history. That being said, this review is based solely on a takeout experience, and I haven't stepped foot inside the restaurant other than to grab my food and get out as expedient as possible. As far as their menu goes, Bad Daddy's has a nice variety of burgers that break from the traditional, with options that have pulled pork and barbecue sauce, to others that contain feta cheese and arugula on ciabatta buns, etc, so you know what kind of place you're dealing with. The price range for a burger+side ranges from $12-15ish, so the real question was how big were the burgers, and what was the portion of the sides going to be. Location-wise, Bad Daddy's is located at the intersection of Shallowford Rd. and Sandy Plains Rd. It's fairly easy to get to from Woodstock or off of I-575 or even I-75, depending on where you're coming from, and the easiest point of reference would be that it's accessible from the Target corner of the intersection, since there's shopping centers on all four corners. The restaurant itself is located in the strip shops section adjacent to the Target, and I'd imagine that there's probably not enough parking out front, although there's plenty of it around the building. As I said, I didn't go inside other than to pick up my food, but they did have a separate entrance for pickup orders, which suits my germaphobe tendencies find, as you don't have to go through a restaurant full of unmasked diners to get your takeout. In regards to the food itself, I got the bbq pulled pork burger, and it was very generously sized, and everything was as described with it. I noticed that the patty was a little too perfectly symmetrical, which leads me to believe they utilize premade patties or they have a very efficient press, to which I would critique them harder if it were the former, but really the taste and done-ness of it was still accurate and the taste was still good. Not to go unnoticed were the fries, which were of the handcut and flavorful variety, that have a more bronze color than the pale yellow strings that of like a Wendy's or McDonald's. Great in their chipotle mayo-like concoction of a side sauce. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with Bad Daddy's. The burger quality was above average, and the portion to cost ratio was favorable in my opinion. As far as viability, I consider the place a definite option when it comes to wanting a burger in East Cobb, and I'd be fine to recommend this place to try for anyone who wants a burger that's outside the ordinary run of the mill all-American variety. read more

My wife and I had a fantastic lunch at Bad Daddy's and can't wait to visit again soon. For an appetizer we got the fried deviled eggs, which were superb. I ordered a custom fried chicken sandwich with mozzarella, bacon, and Mac & cheese on top, with chipotle ranch that was out of this world. The onion rings were also fantastic. Unfortunate that they're a Pepsi restaurant, but the strawberry lemonade was excellent (and not too sweet, which was nice.) We'll definitely be asking for River, as he was a top notch server and really great guy. A+ experience. read more

Only giving two stars because our waitress was super friendly and she had nothing to do with the issue. Should have walked out when we were told they were basically out of every appetizer. We then placed our order and after waiting 50 minutes our order had not even been started. It was obvious most of the tables around us had same issue. Disappointing because we've been two other times and haven't had an issue but if you are that behind and short staffed it would be nice to know beforehand and have the option to leave before sitting and wasting our time. It's a hot mess in here. Most reviews talk about slow service and they are right. 1 waitress for lunch hour. I will say she was hustling and the manager appeared to be working super hard too. But expect a 2 hour lunch and lots of waiting. Due to lack of staff everything was overcooked too. Onion rings and tots burnt and inedible. Please don't expect drink refills. No way. Can barely get a menu so short staffed. I would not return and would not recommend, it was an unpleasant lunch experience overall. read more
