Stoping through and I love breweries. Ethan was amazing. Sandwich and slaw were on point, paired perfectly with an alcohol seltzer.

Always love Bad Idea! It always pretty chill here. We decided to stop in for a beer on their 3rd birthday celebration! I got the Hard Seltzer they had on tap which was inspired by an Arnold Palmer (sweet tea & lemonade). It was tasty but I didn't get a whole lot of the lemonade taste. I loved how sharp the carbonation was. I do wish their band wasn't as loud. We had to sit outside to talk to each other. Which would have been nice if it hadn't just rained! We normally like to come on calm days where there are usually only a couple people there!

Small microbrewery located inside a building with various other things like a coffee shop, plant shop, etc. The environment was laid back and we sampled a couple different things until we decided what we wanted. The bartender told us they use real fruit and the flavors come from real ingredients even graham crackers and marshmallows for one of them!

This is a great little brewery with a great atmosphere! Taylor was great to talk to and was super nice to our daughter while visiting. He told us how the name of the brewery got its name. We will definitely visit again. Give this place a try, you won't regret it! Also, you're able to have food delivered if you get hungry, we ordered Coop & Run chicken and that wasn't bad either! Cheers!

Being Columbia, the trucks are a bit more economical than Nashville, but the food was on point.

Boys' night out, so we thought that we'd try some manly stuff and throw a few deadly weapons…read moreagainst the wall. What better place to unleash the mayhem than at Faxons. They sanction the controlled chaos, and on top of that, they serve beer! Putting axes in the hands of beer guzzling lumberjack wannabes sounds like a recipe for disaster. But to their credit, Faxons keep a close eye on their patrons. They'll even help with your technique. That's throwing technique. You're on your own with how you tip your glasses. You'll have your choice on who or what to chop up. You can toss a blade into the skull of a zombie or something more woodsy like a duck. You won't even need a hunting license. Just have your significant other fill out the permission slip (aka the waiver) so that you can participate in the carnage. If an axe is a little too extreme, you can try your hand at tossing a different dangerous projectile. They have a couple of dart boards just waiting for you to pierce their numbers. They come complete with chalkboard so that you can keep tally of how many holes you make. I'm guessing they'd prefer the holes in the boards rather than the wall. It's a family-friendly place for all you 12 and olders. That is if your family doesn't lean pacifist. Quick Tip: I wouldn't recommend wearing open toed shoes. There's always the chance of the beer that's lubricating your inside, finding its way onto the axe handle and making it as loose as you. But as I mentioned earlier, Faxons keeps a close eye on the proceedings. You should be able to make your way out with all your appendages still intact. And maybe even a few extra if you're seeing double after swilling down a few.

The Pond is a self described dive bar located in a strip mall area in Franklin Tennessee…read more I like to patronize places that aren't chains and aren't super popular spots when I travel, as I enjoy being around common folks in areas that I go to. The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.
