There is this benefit of living in the bay area. You have diverse food options and you can definitely explore and expect some of your local favorites from back home. (India) This was our first time ordering from this kitchen, although we were late they extra effort to ensure we get our order delivered today. And we appreciate it. There isn't anything confusing with the menu, they're clearly vocal about what they're offering. It's traditional donne style biryani. It takes a good amount of time, preparation and experience to get it right. But we were impressed by how delicious the biryani was. It gave us some sweat due to heat but it was nice one to experience. We also got a Guntur chicken, it was delicious and represented Guntur chilli spice. Extremely disappointed. There was barely any mutton pieces in the Donne biryani but there were plenty of bare bones. Lately the quality has gone down from before. I held off from writing a bad review last time I got the biryani few backs from here thinking it was just a one off scenario but this seems to be the trend now. Cloud kitchen serving Donne Biryani only on Saturday's; you are supposed to order ahead during the week. looking at the crowd at pickup, I am pretty certain they will open a restaurant pretty soon. Hopefully they do, as it will become much more convenient to pickup. About the food: we ordered the Jackfruit Donne Biryani and Babycorn Kebab. It's a subtle yet flavor packed biryani. You won't find it spicy at all; I would prefer a nice salna gravy on the side to make it more exciting. They offer Curd Raita. Portion size is decent, you will feel content at the end of meal. Babycorn Kebab was quite delicious; would have preferred it be hot & crunchy however togo makes it moist. Taste remained intact. 4/5 to see if they are consistent. This is an overdue review since we have had the Mutton Donne briyani here a couple of times before. Having liked the taste of that, we wanted to explore the catering option here for our daughters birthday. They were kind enough to explain their options and also provide their suggestions. Ended up ordering green apple kofta, amaravathi paneer briyani and mutton donne briyani (plus a couple more items). The place provides only takeout option while you have to pre-order food to pick up on Saturday . Online ordering was pretty straightforward on their website. But pricier if you order delivery vs takeout Service during food pickup was pretty quick as well. They had the food packed and ready to go even though there were a lot of people who came for pickup. The mutton biryani was good and to my liking. Jackfruit biryani was probably a hit and miss.. if you like extra spicy chicken curry then chili chicken would be good option. We bought chicken biriyani on a Sunday a couple of weeks back and biryani was very bad. The chicken pieces were hard on the outside making it obvious that its wasnt fresh. We previous had a bad experience here when we bought from them on a weekday, but we chalked it up to it being a weekday and we understand how restaurants dont make biriyanis fresh every weekday. I got her mushroom Donne and the flavor was on point, you could tell they use a fresh spice mix . The taste and flavor really does take you back! They nailed the jeerasamba rice and the flaky texture. It wasn't too greasy or heavy either, went down pretty light with plenty of mushroom and peas.
