We ordered two bags of shrimp/clams/potatoes/sausage; It was more than enough for four people, we even had some leftover. The atomic spice level was just the right amount of spicy. We also ordered Korean wings and they were a one star for me- It wasn't really Korean flavors. The wait staff was very friendly and checked in with us often. Fist time was a good experience, second time they forgot the extra corn I paid for, Third time was a nightmare. Waitress wasn't knowledgeable about the food at all. I told her the lobster was chewy and she said "I don't eat lobster" this place is run by improperly trained teenagers. I told her to cook all my food with the juice and she still brought my shrimp in a separate container. She said; "that's how we do it" I don't understand why she couldn't tell me that when I was ordering. The beer had either a bug or some kind of trash in it. I heard this place had robots, it was interesting to see these robots rolling around with their cute cat expressions! I enjoyed that, so did my husband who insisted on taking one home! LoL! The inside was not what I expected, I had a feeling I was eating at a eatery in a mall like setting rather than a crab shack restaurant. The chairs are a little uncomfortable and the height of the partition between tables seem a little short. You will be able to see what you and your neighbor is eating. No fountain drinks, only can, which is disappointing since a seafood place and you can get really thirsty. Almost everything is served with picnic ware, paper plates, plastic forks, plastic cups. Bag o crab, when you think about it you would assume that the star would be the bag of crab, but you would assume wrong. I would like to start to rename the restaurant bag o fries or at the very least offer more bagged items such as full bags of wings or full bags of fries. The fries were the best things that I have ever eaten. Me and my colleague got the lemon pepper fries. We were provided two small cups of ketchup to go along with our fries. It really captured the essence of lemon pepper. It is supposed to be a flower that you cannot go wrong with and it certainly lived up to the expectation. The fries themselves were perfectly cooked. They were crispy on the outside but perfect clouds on the inside. Like mentioned before, I would like a bag of these and I feel the rebranding would be good for the company. The wings were also amazing. Buffalo Wild Wings?? Wingstop?? Don't know them. Bag o crab is where it's at. Me and my Colleague got the Cajun seasoning and it didn't really show up. But there was a seasoning there, perhaps not Cajun but a flavor that was delicious. The crispy outside can only be beat by the juicy perfect inside. Again would like a bag of these. The cab feed itself was alright. This is where me and my colleagues have a different opinion. I feel the sausage was the best. Self explanatory, sausage is hard to mess up. My Colleague believes the snow crab was the best. It had a very good texture and it was a perfect inbetween soft and hard. I also believe the crab was good however, it was more fun to get to the meat as it was a glorified art project. The corn was okay. The shrimp and potatoes were horrible. The shrimp was like chewing a giant piece of gum that has lost its flavor and we paid extra to have it peeled yet it was not. There was still a solid amount of shell on there. The potatoes were whole ones that were simply thrown in there. Not sure why they did that, those could've been more fries and a true waste at that. I must say Bag o' Crab is pretty good. This is my second time getting the lobster roll and I got it with a salad this time. The lobster roll bun is toasty and buttery and packed full of lobster claw meet and it's not minced yeah!! I also got the sea food spaghetti, it has shrimp and clams in a white sauce. It's good but the sauce could be better but that's me being picky. The most amazing part is how fresh the seafood taste in the middle of Merced. The lobster taste like it was caught this morning, the shrimp taste like they've never been frozen and the clams are super sweet. Its pricey but worth it. The lobster roll was around $23.00 (I think l) and the sea food spaghetti was around $17.00 but you do get enough to share. But they have something for most price range! Hella good seafood here in the Central Valley. Fun, lively atmosphere, and have had generally stellar service. Fairly limited drink menu but you're not there for the drinks. One piece of advice, though: My wife and I would always go for the "Atomic Sauce" because it's all their sauces mixed together. A bit of everything, right? But it's pretty overpowering and you can't really enjoy the seafood. Would recommend coming hungry, accepting the messiness, and going with a less intense sauce choice. We moved to Los Banos back in 2019 so boiling crab in San Jose was our favorite spot to go when we were craving shrimp, crab etc. We went on a Saturday during lunch time and it was surprisingly not crowded or busy. Secondly be prepared because you cannot order half pounds of the crab legs or mussels and at 25 to 30 bucks a pound thats pretty disappointing. If you order water it is from the tap which forces you to order an expensive drink like coke. And to add to this, if you want a refill it is extra. The waitress talked so fast she sounded like an auctioneer on meth. Now, on to the food. I enjoyed the clam chowder but it came in a plastic bowl with a lid which gave me the impression that it was stored that way and simply microwaved. Wings were mediocre, I didnt care for the seasoning. Cajun fries were delicious. As for the bag of goodies my fiancé gave it a four out of 10 stars. So fifty bucks later I give it a 2 out of 5 stars. We were pretty impressed with the phenomenal flavor of the garlic butter sauce (if you like your sauce/seasoning on the sweeter side like me this is the one). We've been to several places where the sauces just weren't as flavorful but this place was delicious! I prefer the sauce on the sweeter side so this was exactly what I wanted. We had ordered a lb of snow crab legs (a lb minimum is required for the crab), half pound of shrimp (head on), 2 corns, an order of potatoes (one order comes w/ 3 potatoes). The prawns were nice in size, and the snow crab was nice and sweet and average in size. The potatoes were nice and soft and not too firm. The corn was flavored and cooked just right. We had called in our order and both times were ready in 10-15 mins. Friendly and informative service from the girl in the front desk upon entrance and arrival. We are so happy to have something like this locally. This review is based off of the mild level spice which is still just a little bit spicy, and the garlic butter seasoning. read more

I have to say I was very disappointed in this place. Food was good, WAY over priced, portion sizes were for a child for the prices they charged. The lobster Po Boy, was the size of a hot dog bun, for $25 you'd think it would be at least the size of reg sandwich roll. The short ribs portions were about 10 pieces, but mostly filled with fries. My food total was over $70, which I don't mind paying for good food, but make sure you are paying for $70 worth of food! Cajun fries and sweet potato fries were good, and portions were plenty. When I got my receipt, I left a 20% tip for the driver, but they never added it to the bill. The app asked the amount and I selected it. The delivery fee is $1.99 but then there was another couple of fees, and a few hours later I received another charge for $1.09 because I asked to substitute sweet potato fries for reg fries. This place won't last long here! Way overpriced! I'll go to Jade Garden where you get your moneys worth of seafood! read more

We went to have dinner at Bag O' Crab last night and we were blown away. From their aesthetically pleasing restaurant, the amazing service, and delicious food. Our experience was amazing and will definitely be returning soon. We took our two boys age 4 and 7 with us, (they don't eat seafood) yet they had the best time!! They got to pick a toy/candy out of the treasure box. They also loved watching the robots deliver food to each table. It was quite the experience for them. The food was delicious!
