The staff is polite and focused like you should want them to be especially when busy so all the orders get made right. I have heard maybe 1-2 small errors but there so nice and fast to correct them! This place is near my mom's house so went there once to get a few bagels & was excited to see they had bialys so got a couple of those too. However they were not at all like bialys should be. The bagels were just ok too. The shop was empty but it was still pretty slow service and they were not friendly, reluctant to answer any questions etc--almost like you were imposing on them for being there giving them business! Frustrating! I think they need to rethink their system. It takes forever to get your order. But usually deal with it for good bagels. I had been a customer for many years. as time went by management and customer service has worsened considerably over time. the staff makes mistakes with the flavors requested, and management gets really nasty when presented with the issue. brought back wrong flavors and they gave me a really hard time to replace it. I guess they never heard nor followed the rule that the customer is always right. for them to be so cheap about replacing a bagel that they charge. $1.40 for is amazing. their cost might be 25 cents and they give customers a hard time to replace 2 bagels that were brought back, unbelievable! place was also dirty and staff barely speaks English. this was definitely the last time I will give them my business. most of their customers are elderly people and it is a shame how they treat us! read more

So- this was my first bagel in a while. I've been living overseas for some time and been craving an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. Knowing that Monroe NJ isn't exactly the home of the best bagels around but jet lagged and hangry- here we are. I ordered 2 bagels, only got 1 so I was forced to share with my husband- FINE! I only eat turkey bacon and ordered 1 side along with the eggs and meat platter and specified turkey bacon making 2 servings of TURKEY bacon- got 1 order of turkey bacon and the other regular pork bacon. Called to let them know about the missing bagel, not even the other issue and we were asked to pick up the order - we ordered through grub hub. We let them know we couldn't and now have to wait until their driver starts their day to have it delivered which is an hour after we've already had our breakfast oh and no sorry for the inconvenience or the typical customer is always right fluff. This is your standard neighborhood deli. There's nothing to rave about this place. They've variety of bagels and spreads. The taste is average, but plenty of choices. They have good breakfast specials and a large menu besides bagels. There are definitely better bagel places within 20 minutes in the area, but this one gets the job done on weekends since it's only few minutes away from home. Friendly and efficient service. Very busy shop, staffed well, everyone hustles. This shop is completely surrounded by over 55+ gated developments so I have to applaud the staff for working in that environment. Having said that, the bagels are just ok, definitely not the best bagel in NJ and a far better bagel can be purchased a few miles away in Plainsboro NJ. I always order an egg everything because the interior is softer than the non-egg bagels but they gave me a hard everything bagel today. I was hungry. I ate it. The shrimp salad is very good though and they've improved on the interior somewhat post 2020. This sandwich was soooooo greasy it was literally dripping. My body was telling me not to eat it but I already left and was hungry. Unfortunately I was sick for a day and half after eating it. I was visiting my mom & dad's new home very near to this shop. They had received a welcome to the neighborhood coupon for 6 free bagels, 2 muffins and specialty cream cheese. These were all bagged up for us. There was no minimum purchase, no charge, no hassle and no restrictions on the coupon. When my mom told them about tge coupon, they just asked what we wanted. Tge bagels were good. But they were about tge sane as Panera ... good but not great. An onion bagel was just thrown in with the cinnamon raisin and all the others. Most places put onion or everything bagels in their own bag without your having to ask. They were good enough so proximity and generosity will mean that my parents are likely to go back.
