Bagel Bin is a very "homey" / mom&pop that I love. Lots of my friends come back from college, moving away, etc... And it's a great place to go to get some good bagels, sip coffee and reminisce about the times. Here are things you should definitely try: 1) pizza bagel is by far the best... Melted provolone, with marinara sauce on your choice of bagel (I recommend the supreme) 2) super veggie melt -- melted cheese, chopped tomatoes, onions, Green peppers and mushrooms on your choice of bagel.. This place has been a highlight for my weekend "treat yo self" breakfast/brunch/lunch delivery. As a Towson alumni I have sworn by THB for over 10 years, but THIS PLACE! Let me tell you... their pizza bagels have resurrected me from certain death (this is pure hyperbole for those who like to be Karens) caused by the painful welcome-to-your-30's hangovers. Their sausage/cheese breakfast bagels are mouth watering. Their tuna melts? Amazing. I love their variety of cream cheeses and bagels (obviously), and I had the pleasure of going to this place in person for the first time. It was so great to see a manager actually out on the floor with his crew! The college kiddos working there were ready to go with great attitudes. They were so sweet. Order here. Arguably the best bagels in Howard county. Service was friendly, fast and polite. Unfortunately if you like good coffee, bagel Bin has never been for you. The coffee is Weak and flavorless. They have some work to do for Covid. The employees were all appropriately masked, but we didn't see anybody behind the counter washing hands and there were no Purelle dispensers for customers. read more

It's not easy for me to write a negative review because I'm an investor in two restaurants, but this can't go unpublished. Ellicott City's Bagel Bin's lox and cream cheese sandwich is described on its menu as having tomato, onion and capers - the typical toppings by any bagel shop. Mine (delivered by Uber Eats) came without any of the fixings. When I called Bagel Bin and brought that to the attention of "Bobby Eddy" - obviously a high school dropout who worked behind the counter - he told me that he could "talk to his boss later to see if I can get a refund" and then immediately hung up on me. He didn't ask for my name and number. He didn't offer to fix me the bagel as advertised. He didn't even apologize. So, I called back, gave him my name and number and then asked about getting the sandwich as advertised - he put me on hold for quite a while and then just hung up on me AGAIN. When I called a third time, his supervisor answered the phone and said something like "try calling Uber Eats man - I don't know what else to tell you". read more

I'll go elsewhere It doesn't get any simpler than a toasted bagel with butter and black coffee. Even though the bagels were boiled they were spongy -- no NY water bagel crust. Mediocre bagel at best. Too much butter that just oozed all over the place. Then the coffee thermos pots were empty. Employees walked by the empty pots a few times and ignored them. We had to ask an employee to take notice and move the full pots from the brew station to where customers could use them. Then they want to charge $1 to refill your coffee cup, something I've never seen in any other Baltimore area bagel shop. The big question for any restaurant is "would you go back there." Not impressed. I've had better. Went at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. Ordered 3 bagels. They got 2 of them wrong. After getting the correct order, they tasted a little chewier than they should be. Under new ownership since April, I was impressed. Very courteous service. Lots of hustle by the staff in taking your order and assisting you with your purchase. Breakfast was completely ruined. Bagels were as chewy as a hard gummy. Asked for extra toasted on the bagel but I guess the toaster wasn't working today or any time I've ever gotten this place. Staff does not listen clearly when placing orders. Bacon was so raw it almost scurried off my bagel. Would not recommend this joint. The only thing half descent was my pickle and pickle chips. They make bagels. Bagels are nicely sized (read: big enough, but not the size of your head) and chewy (read: nice and dense instead of dinner-roll-ish). Toast them or not, they're pleasant both ways. Traditional flavors like sesame or egg. New favorites like whole grain. Seasonal offerings like cranberry. They have cream cheese. Cream cheese is thick and tangy. There's the old stand-by, plain, or there are more tantalizing choices like honey walnut. Take away tubs for your bagels by the dozen. New Yorkers would probably scoff, but I'm fine with Bagel Bin. read more

Bagel Bin used to be great in the 90s/early 00s and then the original owner sold the place and Bagel Bin dropped to mediocrity. Bagels are NY style and come in a large variety. The problem is there is no consistency -- I guess quality control was downplayed when the new owners took over. For example, you can order an everything bagel that resembles a plain bagel more than a supreme bagel. The bagels also are not consistent in shape, size, texture, or flavor. One thing I like is that they offer day olds. They offer a more legit bagel than Einstein, but their old slogan of "Once you've bin, you'll be back" isn't as true any more. read more

If you know a word or two in Korean, they go crazy for you...Just a simple Thank You and Hello in Korean always gets us free cookies and many bows. :) My special: Everything with Extra Scallion Cream Cheese at no extra charge. -The place could use a definate remodel. Really disappointing... went on a Saturday morning, a few people sitting and eating but we were only 1 of 2 in line ordering. Ordered a simple egg, cheese, and bacon bagel sandwich on an egg bagel (which they had a lot of in the bin). When I got home I had no bacon and a plain bagel. The egg was very bland I don't think it was salted and same with the bagel, very little taste. The best park was the American cheese. Staff was friendly but not super engaging.
