This place is the best and has held up its reputation for years. I'm not a fan of the prices but it's worth the long lines and the freshness of the bagels and pastries. The inside is renovated, they raised the counters and changed the material to granite which was a nice touch to the decor. Usually this is my go to spot for bagels and sandwiches. Offered is a text order opportunity. In the past I have used this service to avoid the long lines that are always present. This time I was made to wait on line to pick up my order. This is wholly unacceptable. I understand that this is a busy bakery but the text order opportunity should not be offered if it can't be accommodated. Unfortunately, this is the first time I experienced this situation and I am a bit dissapointed. Also, the sandwiches I ordered are always heated and this time that wasn't the case. They have good bagels/food... but WAY too many mistakes. This is the 3rd time I've ordered my egg sandwich and they messed it up every single time. Its literally on the paper for them to follow and they forget 50% of the items i wanted (for example, today they forgot my turkey bacon... last time they gave me a completely different bagel and its not like they didnt have the bagel i wanted because i saw the bagel i ordered). Been going here for about 30 years, always loved it. What happened?? Two customers ahead of me today and looked to be about 8 people working. Waited at least 10 minutes before anyone decided to take my order. Ordered ham & Swiss on a roll with mayo & 1/2 lb. Tuna. Got home, stale roll, no mayo, and only 1/4 lb. Tuna! Tiny bagels and super OVERPRICED. $1.09 for ONE SLICE of tomato. $1.09 for a literal pinch of shredded lettuce you can barely see the lettuce on the sandwich. So lame. "Fresh" orange juice and it's just Tropicana they poured in a togo cup and put their sticker on to charge more for. Weak. 10 years ago I had a to have a hysterectomy. What does that have to do with bagels? As of yesterday I thought those two things were unrelated. Go to check out. Woman behind the counter congratulated me on my pregnancy. What a punch to the throat. Tears flustered I said nope, that is not the case. What a monster. Why, why would you comment on someone's appearance? I was so upset I couldn't even be like I don't want this bagel anymore. Don't worry she hammered home the Disney world level of customer service by still charging me for the bagel and water. Yeah Great job, on reading none of the room. To boot, the bagel wasn't even that good. I was really hoping after charging me $6.53 for the bagel and water with a side of insult/ way to bring up major trauma before I am to present in front of 120 people that it would be fire. It was not. better than dunkin , sure, but at least the people at dunkin have decency to keep their thoughts on the inside. My suggestion there are a million bagel places in Long Island. Some of them are pretty amazing. This one, not special and they will have no problem commenting on you appearance. This place literally has EVERYTHING. Almost too much. From bagels to baked good, cakes and such and even a chopped salad bar. Only been here a few times but each time they did not disappoint. The bagels are some of the best on the island. Their cream cheese assortment is great and very good (sometimes a bagel place has awful cream cheese and it just ruins everything). My last visit I was feeling a bit festive for St. Patrick's Day so I got a Reuben on a green bagel. The amount of corned beef they put on was very generous. I do have to say the highlight of my meal was their macaroni salad that came with my sandwich. They forgot to give it to so I had to run back to the counter for it, and I'm SO glad I did because it was amazing!! Used to be amazing, we were weekly customers. Service is terrible, staff has changed dramatically and clearly don't want to be working there or at all. There is zero effort in making a bagel with cream cheese and everyone looks miserable behind the counter, there is zero customer service. While understandably pricing has surged during the current market, $1 per topping (ie. lettuce or tomato is quite excessive) This is really a shame as loyal customers for years but we will be looking for alternative locations. read more

I've been to this establishment a few times, mostly to pick up bakery items. This is one huge deli with an incredible assortment of foods. The store is very long so you come in and get pass everything until you get to the bakery counter and bagels towards the rear of the shop. This place is always busy and you might want to give yourself a few minutes on the line. I usually get their large cupcakes for office parties and everyone always enjoys the variety, carrot cakes, red velvet, and vanilla cupcakes. There team is friendly and helpful and has always greeted me with a warm hello and smile. For all items mentioned, I am happy to recommend this fine store. read more

They have a text pick up option but don't have an organized way for the customers to come pick up their already ordered order pay and then pick up real quick. They stopped providing text orders bc "it's a small bagel shop" but if they organized the damn flow of the operation it would work out. I'm loving the bagels here! The staff is friendly even though they are always busy. They always get the order right which is a plus in my world. They have a giant selection of food, not only bagels but salads, sandwiches and tons of cookies, pastries cakes etc. The baked goods are a little over priced but are totally yum. When I arrived there was a line almost to the door which made me hopeful that this would be my new go-to breakfast spot. I called ahead so I walked directly towards the register and stood off to the side waiting for someone would acknowledge me or until a moment arose to ask someone behind the counter about my order. No one said anything and I ended up asking someone about it. Which is fine but I feel like there should be a better system in place for pick up orders. Since it's so busy it's difficult to get a moment to be rung up when everyone is helping the customers in line. It was also very off putting how unhappy the staff appeared. No one was smiling and it seemed very clear that they did not want to be there. It made me question if this was a good place to be. I was unsatisfied with the amount of eggs and bacon in the breakfast sandwiches, it was mostly bread. I also asked for my bread to be toasted and it wasn't. Overall I was very disappointed with the service and the sandwiches. I was left waiting despite my order being finished and sitting on the counter.
