Very old cakes . Went to get some cakes for my girls birthday party, The cakes ruined the party! Bad quality, and the coconut cake was so old it tasted fermented, smelled and tasted like alcohol. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Great bakery filled with fresh delicacies. I had the cannoli rainbow cake . 2 slices in one sitting to be exact . It was so yummy . Also had at least 10 cookies from a cookie tray . It was loaded with so many different flavors and kinds. Everything that I had was fresh and tasty. It is a great bakery when you're in the mood for something sweet or if you are having company or need to bring dessert to a dinner. I definitely will be returning to try more goodies. Counter service was quick.

$185 cake with disgusting chocolate cake and cannoli filling....

Honestly, the whole experience was horrible. The cake was overpriced and it was the worst cake I have ever tasted. I ordered a cute vintage heart shaped cake and when receiving it, was upset it did not come fully decorated as expected. I had to go to Michaels and buy ribbon to make bows to add onto my cake. They explained afterwards that I would have had to supply the ribbon which I would have gladly done if that information was disclosed during the initial consultation. They quoted me $185 and I asked if there was any way to make it more affordable and they pretty much gave me no solutions. I bit the bullet and just paid it because I was excited for the design and was on a time crunch. The cake was wet, mushy and tasted expired. The buttercream was tasteless lacking sugar and nobody ate the cake. So disappointed and will never order from them again. Found out you can just order this cake from Walmart for $35. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND HEADACHE AND NEVER ORDER FROM THEM

This is where my $18 went to the trash

I spent $18 at this place one brownie six little raspberry I believe they're called arugula. I had a M&M cookie and also a glazed doughnut for anyone that wants to come visit here. Please don't waste your time. It's waste of your dollar were off. Didn't taste fresh. If anything I taste a little bit more chemicals in the products. It just was horrible. I do not recommend please go elsewhere.

No rainbow cookie just pink over sweet buttercream

Extremely disappointed with the rainbow cake we ordered for my 50th birthday. My sister asked specifically for a classic rainbow cake, something we order every year from other bakeries and always love. We thought we'd try Dortoni's this time, but what a letdown. Instead of a true rainbow cake, they gave us something filled with overly sweet buttercream all pink and thin, broken layers of rainbow cookies placed outside nothing like what we requested. Honestly, Stop & Shop does a better job. For the price and the occasion, this was really upsetting. Definitely won't be ordering from here again.

I literally bought one mini baguette, took a bite outside the store and walked right back in for 4 more. It is THAT good. The texture and flavor was simply perfect, and having to warmed with a schemer cutter was heavenly. Now it's important to note that I live at least 30 minutes away, and returned 3x since my first visit to try their breads. TBH, it doesn't even matter what you get! They are ALL the BEST versions of whatever bread it is! I literally walked out today with 6 loaves of bread and as a carb-a-holic, I am here to confirm that Duck Island has THE BEST bread in NY. PS I am literally gnawing on a piece of sesame something (looks like a branch of leaves - so pretty) as I'm typing this. Just amazing!

Not only did these set me back $9 total, but were annoying to eat and not worth the cost at all. The minimal chocolate filling had sunken to the bottom and completely fused to the wrappers, and the muffins were very dry inside, not soft and fudgey like chocolate babka should be. Everything they have looks and sounds incredible, but the two muffins I got were very overpriced and not nearly good enough to be worth it. Additionally, the parking situation is a nightmare, with people parking in spots that don't exist in a lot that's already way too tight.

Well let me just say that this was an atrocious experience from start to finish. I will NEVER return to this bakery. The girl helping me didn't know if the tiramisu was made with mascarpone or whipped cream or if the Napoleon had pastry cream, custard, or whipped cream. Usually you can tell by looking and that should've been my first sign that something was off. I just assumed that she was new and she was super sweet and apologetic so I forged on. I ordered an Italian cheesecake, cannoli, a single serve tiramisu, and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was soft and a little chewy and the quality of the chocolate was on point. When I opened the box that the cheesecake was in, it was filled with a viscous brown fluid that in my 5 minute drive home had actually accumulated enough to soak through the cardboard bakery box. I immediately knew that either there was too much butter in the crust, there was a water bath issue, meaning the crust was not properly sealed against the water bath or the water level was too high, OR, the cake was old and prolonged refrigeration was the culprit. I brought the cake right back and quietly showed the counter employee the issue...there were customers in the store and I was not looking to draw attention to this issue. The worker was appropriately apologetic and brought it to the back...and that's where everything quickly deteriorated. The owner came out accusing me of dropping the cake, which didn't happen and also had nothing to do with all the oozing brown goo, and then proceeded to insult and demean me in front of the other customers. He said I "obviously wasn't Italian" and therefore "didn't know anything about Italian cheesecakes." When I shared that I was actually born in Italy he quickly shifted to degrading the region my family and I are from. He then said "oh do you make cheesecake every day like we do because if you don't, you don't get to have an opinion." He went on and on while I just continued to request a refund for the defective item. To be fair and transparent, I would've probably overlooked the dripping crust if the cheesecake tasted amazing but it tasted like it had spent a few days too long in the fridge. These days spending close to $40 for a small cake is somewhat of a luxury. I appreciate all of the bakeries and home bakers who are persevering in this difficult economy and continuing to produce quality products. I absolutely understand that nothing is perfect and mistakes happen and when I'm at fault, I take responsibly and hold myself accountable. I do not yell, demean, and insult customers like this owner did. There are too many wonderful bakeries and home bakers that stand behind their goods and deserve your patronage and hard earned money. This establishment is NOT one of the them. As multiple other reviews have stated, it seems that when things are good they're good but when they are bad, this owner is rude and takes no accountability. I do wonder if he would've spoken to my husband in the same manner that he spoke to me but we'll never know because no one I know will ever step foot in this establishment again. Also, the cannoli shells were totally soggy on the bottom. A true Italian bakery would fill individually per order.

While I don't always expect an overly cheerful greeting, the service was very plain and lacked a smile. Even when I mentioned it was my first time, the staff seemed indifferent. I ordered an egg and cheddar cheese biscuit and a small coffee with sugar-free French vanilla and almond milk, which came to $15. I also picked up two mini pies for $14. The breakfast sandwich was okay, but for the price, I expected more cheese and a bit more flavor. However, the mini pastries were absolutely delicious! I would 100% come back just for those. The store itself was very clean.

The buttercream frosting was where I felt the cake fell a bit short.
