I hope this place provides new energy/management. This is my second time coming here, I hoped it was a fluke the first time. (It took me over a year to come back to this place) I had to repeat my order 3 times, and I had to make corrections every single time. Which is probably why my order came out incorrect. I waited 15 minutes for a not toasted, uncut bagel, with no knife to spread my cream cheese. (There was one party infront of me with a quick bagel order) Their menu mentions they have vegan cream cheese. They do NOT have it. The first time they told me they "sold out", second time, they tell me it's no longer on the menu (which it is) this was a huge reason why I drove 45 minutes here. I also ordered an ice latte, the espresso was fine and so was the oat milk, I wish they used a higher grade of syrup to blend in better as it is sitting on the bottom of my cup. Overall, due to difficulty placing order, misleading menu, wait time for an incorrect order. I will not be coming back. read more

It's a real shame this company cannot get everything together. The food is great but the business is poorly run. First visit, I ordered ahead and they lost my order. They were kind in remaking it but it took 30 minutes to make two bagels. They did give me a gift card for my troubles which was kind and why I was open to returning. Today, we pull up to their location to find out that not only is it closed on a Sunday as a bagel shop but it's now combined with a cheesesteak place? The online hours don't match what's posted on the door. Based on the previous reviews, they seem to have made some recent improvements. We stopped in on a weekday morning for breakfast. The lady taking my order verbally confirmed my order twice and then asked me to check the order on the register. It was correct and I appreciated her confirming the order. Our order was ready in a reasonable amount of time and tasted great. I chose the Avocado Breakfast Bagel and paid a little extra to add an egg. The bagel and avocado were flavored well (on the spicier side) and I received 4 eggs when I had expected 1. This was great since I left happy and satisfied. The only thing I didn't like was that the avocado was ice cold when I expected it to be warm. For the portion size, the price was reasonable. So the reviews here have been written about terrible service and incorrect orders. When I placed my order she double checked it with me 3 times to make sure. So I believe they are hearing people and trying to improve. I was very happy with the size of my sandwich and the service that we had. They were very friendly. I just didn't think that the food was anything special. The bagel did not have much of the posted flavor and was definitely not toasted enough. It was more just warm. First time trying Bagel Boys and I was neither impressed or disappointed. I got a bacon, egg, & cheese on an asiago bagel. The sandwich was good but plain. Nothing interesting about it but still good. Now would I order it again? Probably not. Next, the iced vanilla latte I got was way too sweet. I asked for light vanilla and it came out tasting like a dessert. Customer service was super friendly and made sure to greet me as soon as I walked in the door. They talked me through my order as I decided what I wanted and they had the food out within a few minutes. Overall I was disappointed, the food was pricey and was just okay at best. The bagels were over toasted, the Garlic and Herb Schmear tasted too sharp, there was a strong punch from the minced garlic pieces. The Asiago bagels didn't have much flavor on their own, but they were nice and soft on the inside so you could tell they were fresh. My mom and sister both like the Roasted Tomato Schmear. They do have a gluten free bagel, but only plain flavor and they taste like an Udi's brand gf bagel (not bad). It was decently busy when we stopped by to get some brunch (it was a Saturday mid-morning), the guy who took our order wasn't friendly, just did the bare minimum to complete his job. We did have to wait a while to get our food, but I didn't mind that too much given how busy they were. I think the shop itself is cute, well decorated/branded, and smelled like coffee. There was a good amount of seating available inside and also a few tables outside. This little bagel shop has a few good things going for them, but has room for improvement. Until they make some changes, I'd say you're better off just going to the Panera across the road. read more

Wasn't sure how anyone was capable of messing up bagels but I was proven wrong. - $35 for two bagels is actually wild - 40 minutes for two bagels - a 94 sanitation score was scary after the fact - they literally pull out the frozen meat from a meat freezer in the lobby to cook - used the same gloves to touch everything Very strange. We waited at least 30 minutes to get our food. My husband and I tried The OG Nick (Everything Bagel, Sausage, Over Easy Egg, White American Cheese) and a French Toast Bagel with Honey Walnut Cream Cheese. They were pretty standard bagels to me. I didn't love that they used sausage links instead of patties. It didn't really work on a bagel sandwich. I would recommend waiting until the new place hype dies down a bit before going. read more

Terrific Steak, Egg and Cheese sandwich. Compares to the best of Philadelphia. Home fries are also very good. Nice, cozy atmosphere tucked away near the end of the Waverly Shopping Center. The owner, Nick and his son, Vinny happened to be there. What a wonderful place to learn the family business. I enjoyed chatting with Nick. Ordered the OG Nick two more times in the last week. The first order: egg was overcooked and the cheese ratio was too low. The second order was almost inedible due to how hard the bagel was. Idk if it was a combination of the bagel going stale and being over toasted, but my jaw hated it. Also, the eggs and cheese were off again, and the bacon was a little burnt as well. Went to Bagel Boys on a Saturday Morning around 10:30 am the good news/bad news is they were not busy. We ordered two OG Bagel Sandwiches that were different meat, cheese and how the eggs were prepared. The sandwiches were $8.50 which comprised of bagel, egg, one slice of bacon and cheese. I keep wanting to like this place, as it offers eggs and meats with their bagels, but I think I will be taking my order down the street to Jeff's Bagel Run from now on. When we arrived this morning, Business was its usual steadiness. The store now has a "self service order station" which slows down the process and makes the line longer. There were about 5-6 workers behind the counter, plus the kitchen workers, so there were plenty of people helping. We ordered our bagels (one with butter and two specialty bagels). It took over 20 minutes of standing and watching the employees look at their phones, giggle, slowlllllly package up to go orders. They would call an order and if nobody claimed it, they would just stare at the people waiting as if they didn't believe them, versus calling out the other orders waiting. It was very frustrating, as our order was just sitting there for about 5 mins, waiting to be bagged. Jeff's Bagel Run down the street has much better service where the employees actually greet you and smile, and will now be out go to. read more

Have not had the best service at Bagel Boys Charlotte. First, they do not have the capacity to answer the phone. Often times, either the phone rings and no one answers or it is picked up and hanged up on. I have them seen employees do this in front of me while I am left waiting on an order I am waiting on. I have tried ordering through their app and when I come in, 20 minutes after orderin, I am still waiting an extra 5-10 minutes. And, when you speak to the staff on problems experienced, there is not accountability. The sort of reply I get points back to the customer... customer called on a staticky line, call hung up, too many orders received from the customer. The last comment cracks me up on how to many orders is a problem. Last experience I had the store took an order over the phone, and upon pick up gave me a waiting time of 20-40 minutes, 30 minutes after the order placed. 20-40 minutes... what kind of ridiculous wait time is that for a fast food place. Food quality is good, I would not say it is great And so these service issues really do not make it worth the wait to get food. Need to step it up Bagel Boys and take ownership. read more

A lady over charged me got my order wrong and when she corrected it she just wiped off the cream cheese that was wrong initially and loaded the bagel with the right one. Bagels Boys is legit! I was skeptical at first from reading some initial reviews that did not sound so good, but then I decided to try it myself. I tried it twice, and both times it's been great. Their cream cheese is delish, tried both the veggie and jalapeño. I can recommend their everything bagel and the rainbow bagel...so good. The lox sandwich is a good option too, and it's a pretty big size as well. Definitely a nice stop for breakfast or lunch if you need a quick bite and are close by, it won't disappoint. read more

Despite the reviews, I still wanted to try this place at least once and decide for myself. I ordered bacon, egg and cheese, everything bagel, black coffee and a side of bacon. Their orange juice machine was not working. Place smelled like bacon, even though it was small inside, it felt inviting on a cold morning. Person who took my order was chatty and nice. Now when I got the food, we went straight to the car and were on our way. Sandwich was terrible, bacon so burnt, you can't even bite into it, egg burnt, coffee was very much watered down, side bacon was somewhat edible. If I wasn't on my way, I would have came back and returned my order, unfortunately had no time for that, so just threw it away and won't come back. It wasn't cheap either. Don't recommend. read more
