    Nice spot.

Succulent Sandwiches and bountiful breakfast items with a vast amount of specialty coffees. A friendly and popular coffee joint, especially for those wielding laptops. Love the staff. The ambience is not only energetic, but also conducive to focusing on a good book. I like the natural light and giant open window facing the main pedestrian street.

We wanted some local coffee and matcha, found this place after a trip to Whole Foods and checking out the farmers market on Saturday. It was pretty bright inside with all the outdoor lighting coming in and lots of windows that were opened during today's good weather. I wanted something light to the stomach, the avocado hummus and egg toast is what I got and my wife went for a Lox bagel but they were out of bagel and they offered it with a croissant option if we were ok with that, which we agreed to try. I normally drink matcha in the afternoon so I got the matcha latte and my wife went for the iced toddy. We enjoyed the meal and drinks very much. We didn't park anywhere near here during Saturday since there was a farmers market running throughout morning till 1:00pm. We walked over from the Whole Foods parking lot and found plenty of extra parking nearby the coffee shop. When we finished our meal, there was a drop off bin to place your cups and plates inside. Before leaving, we took our turns at the bathroom to wash up before leaving, the only thing we could say about this place is that the bathroom was pretty dark with that one light bulb, it gives it character but it could use more light inside there.

My friend and I ordered a veggie sandwich and a breakfast burritos to go from the app. We waited for about two minutes for someone to bring out our orders. Everything was delicious. The meal came with a salad. I was so hungry that I I didn't get a chance to take a photo. I would come back to try other stuff.

I saw lots of reviews touting the quality of the coffee here and was interested to come try. I got an iced cappuccino (not something I see often on the menu) while my partner got the regular cappuccino. We both really liked our drinks: the espresso flavor is just right and blends delightfully with the milk! Pricing wise it's also very reasonable! Not often where you can get 2 medium sized drinks (that are actually quite large) for $8 or so total. Service was pretty quick! The line was pretty long but we only waited about 5 minutes for our drinks. There is a lot of seating inside, including a variety of sizes of tables and a variety of seating options (chairs, single arm chairs, couches). I'm a little sad I'm done with school/studying days and don't have the option to work from home, because this place would be great!

Omg this place is so good. I got the nutty Irish latte and the breakfast burrito. The reviews are right the breakfast burrito is AMAZING. The latte was also good, but was extremely sweet and this is coming from someone who likes their drinks extremely sweet. Overall this place was really good. The only thing to note is that the food took a really long time to get so keep that in mind if you are in a rush or a time crunch. The ambiance is really nice. A lot of people came here to read! Really nice environment :)

This place is such a vibe! The food is very visually appealing. I think there a normal wait time for drinks and food not too bad. I really enjoy coming here to read a book and chill. The location is on the corner of Murphy with lots of windows to gaze outside. This is definitely my favorite coffee shop. I'm obsessed with their lavender latte.

Wow all these years, and I've never been here. I saw this place while getting my haircut next door. I parked in the lot in the back. I tried a lavender latte it was so good! And a chai latte. I definitely want to keep coming back. The ppl are friendly and the vibes are cozy. The prices are reasonable too

Coffee & More has a casual, cozy vibe that gives it the essence of a cute neighborhood café. I ordered the plant-based Impossible burger as a wrap--it was just okay, nothing special. The chicken pesto, on the other hand, was surprisingly good--even as someone who's not usually a fan of pesto, I really enjoyed it. Both meals came with a small side salad, but the dressing options were limited to just ranch and one other, which felt a bit restrictive. One thing to note: they don't offer paper menus. If you have poor vision like I do, you'll need to take a photo of the board and zoom in on your phone to read it. Overall, the energy was comfortable, but the experience felt a little uneven.

I had their Mediterranean toast and it was quite delicious with the nice balance of avocado, balsamic vinegar and tomatoes

This place is great to meet up with friends or study/work. Free wifi, plenty of outlets and full meals available here! They have plenty of seating, too. Check out the rear of the cafe for seating next to a big window. Lots of natural light here! And in the summer, they open up the window to let a nice breeze in.

If he didn't bartend here this would be a two, and the second star is only because they carry the Rye I like. He wasn't on tonight. Adam was. So, here we go... Quick background so you know who's writing this. I grew up in downtown San Jose and I've owned and operated bars and coffee shops there, including on 1st Street. All front facing, all customer service, nothing hides behind a kitchen door. I am 26 years old and it's a quick way to see how service staff treats young/non-regular service. Over +10 years in this industry, four of those as an owner. I've hired bartenders, trained bartenders, and fired bartenders. I've watched the tape at 2am trying to figure out why a our best bar-fly stopped coming in. So when I walk into a bar, I'm not just a guest. I'm watching how the room gets run. I got recommended Fibbar's on the Caltrain. I had a tight timeline and made room for it anyway, because I love supporting local and I know what it takes to keep the doors open. I came for Dunncha. I've had him behind the bar before and he elevated the whole night, every time. His name gets around downtown San Jose, and as an owner I've seriously considered hiring him myself. The guy on the train swore by him too. I figured with a pro like that on staff, I'd get put in the queue, served quick, and be back on the train. Instead Dunncha was off and I got Adam. Oh boy... He told me he'd be right with me, then filled 3 beers and mixed a drink for the woman next to me (I've pulled enough bar cam to know that's easy to check). When I checked in he called me "Mr Impatient." I let it go. I tried to make friends with him, even offered up my cowboy hat, because I had a train in 15 minutes and didn't want to make it worse. He grabbed my wallet off my hat (front bar video) and paraded around with my hat while I waited to close out. I told him about the train. He shrugged. This was after I'd already ordered three drinks. I paid, thanked him, and thought we were on good terms. Then he loudly confessed to scissoring my fingers. What a weird thing to do. Then "He made me!" Weirder thing to say. The people next to me didn't know what that meant either. They just... Starred??? Probably weirded out by their bartender telling them he was scissoring my fingers LOL I usually don't review a place until I've had the food. Didn't happen tonight. Adam's demeanor made me feel unwelcome and honestly unhungry, and I'm not the kind of guest who loses his appetite easy. Owner to owner: gaining a new customer is the most expensive thing you do. I was scouting Fibbar's for my workgroup, my GeoCache group, and the Sunnyvale Restoration Cleanup Group. Three groups, all local, all regulars once they land somewhere. Adam lost all three in 15 minutes. If he were on my payroll that's not a bartender, that's a liability. And he had the gall to tell me good luck catching the Caltrain. Caught it, by the way, no help from you, little buddy. If Dunncha's on, go. I'd trust him with my own bar. If it's Adam, don't. The magic of Fibbar's is gone. He killed the vibe. Definitely not welcome at my bars with that "friendly" attitude. P.S. Owner-to-owner, I'd pull the tape. Seen it before. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Meyhouse Sunnyvale -- Excellent Food, but the Service Pacing Could Be Much Better…read more I tried the $44.95 three-course prix fixe lunch and chose the Köpoğlu as my meze, upgraded the main to the Adana Kebab for $3, and added the Künefe for $2. The food was the strongest part of the experience, and several things stood out more than I expected. The complimentary bread was excellent--warm, fragrant, and nicely textured. I also really enjoyed the green herb sauce served with it. The parsley and mint flavors were quite pronounced, almost grassy, but in a good way. It was fresh and aromatic and worked very well with the bread. The Köpoğlu was one of the highlights of the meal. The roasted eggplant, tomato sauce, garlic yogurt, and olive oil were very well balanced. I especially liked the garlic yogurt--the acidity, garlic, and creaminess were all present without any one element overpowering the others. The tomato added sweetness and acidity, while the olive oil rounded everything out. It was especially good with the bread. The Adana Kebab was also very good. My first bite came from the end of the skewer and was slightly dry, but once I got into the center, the meat was noticeably juicier. The char from the grill was excellent, and the lamb had a clear lamb flavor without being gamey. The chopped red pepper mixed into the meat also added another layer of aroma and flavor. Even the rice surprised me. It looked like plain white rice, but it was flavorful enough to eat on its own, with a noticeable buttery, almost milky aroma. The flatbread underneath the kebab was also very good after soaking up some of the lamb juices and fat. If I had one criticism of the main plate itself, it would be the proportion of onion-tomato salad to meat. The salad tasted fine, but for my preference, there was a little too much of it. I really enjoy the lingering flavor of grilled lamb, and while the rice and bread help carry that flavor, the raw onion and tomato act as a strong palate cleanser and erase it quickly. Since the meat portion was relatively small compared with the rice and salad, I would personally prefer a little more kebab and a little less salad. The Künefe was another highlight. I really enjoyed the contrast between the crispy kadayıf on the outside and the soft, warm cheese inside. The pistachios on top were not something I particularly enjoyed by themselves, but mixed together with the cheese, syrup, and crispy pastry, they made much more sense. The first few bites, especially the areas that had not absorbed too much syrup, were excellent. Toward the center it became a little sweeter than I prefer, but overall I still liked it very much. Food-wise, I would actually give Meyhouse a slight edge over Dishdash. There were more layers and more small details to notice throughout the meal, from the bread and herb sauce to the Köpoğlu, Adana, rice, flatbread, and dessert. The service, however, did not match the level of the food. The restaurant was quite quiet at lunch, but the pacing was surprisingly rushed. I had barely started eating the Köpoğlu when the main course arrived. For a menu specifically presented as a three-course prix fixe, I expected the courses to be paced more deliberately. Instead, I had to choose between continuing to enjoy the appetizer and eating the kebab while it was still hot. There was also an issue with clearing the table. One staff member who was not the person taking my order repeatedly tried to remove my bread and the green herb sauce. The first time, I specifically asked him to leave the sauce. Later, after I finished the main course, he came back and again started clearing both without asking. I told him I wanted the bread to go, so he left the bread, but still removed the herb sauce. It was a small detail, but it made the service feel mechanical rather than attentive to what the guest had already requested. Overall, I would rate the food around 8.5/10 and the service around 6.5-7/10. Meyhouse is a little more expensive than Dishdash, but the prix fixe lunch is also very substantial. I only ate about half of the complimentary bread, and I was already quite full after the main course. Finishing the Künefe left me completely stuffed, so the portion size is definitely generous. I would still come back. Next time, I would probably try the Ahtapot, especially since it is only a $9 upgrade on the prix fixe compared with $25 à la carte. The food gives me a reason to return; I just hope the pacing and attention to small service details are better next time.
