Blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese

I just happened to pop into this place unplanned and I was pleasantly surprised! The interior is really comforting and gives off a homey, antique vibe. The staff were really nice and accommodating. They allowed me to take my time looking at the menu and various cream cheese choices. Be warned: The menu is seriously overwhelming. It was hard to read and there were a TON of options. I got decision fatigue and just ended up getting a basic blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese and an iced coffee. The bagel was absolutely delicious as was the cream cheese! The iced coffee was nothing special. Definitely check this place out if you have the time, but be prepared to spend some time looking at the menu!

Sunday morning visit was successful We ordered one toasted bagel light smear and a daily special, ABC Avacado Bacon Cheese eggs on toasted wheat bagel. The wait for the sandwich was significant, my friend had long finished her bagel. The sandwich overflowed with avacado and was very filling. Bagels were fantastic!

THICK bagels! Stumbled upon this place in West Village when it was freezing outside and it looked cozy. My boyfriend said it was one of the best bagels he's had in NYC.

Hey, hey, hey! Back to West 4th NYC. As soon as I got off the train I immediately looked up bagels spots. That's when I found Bagel Pub. Awesome place in my opinion. A true NYC bagel place. The bagel we're like what I'm used to seeing and that's huge for me. Super busy though and seating as well. Plenty of staff to support the rush of patrons who want bagels. So if you're in the area and looking for a great bagel spot then this is it.

So many cream cheese options! I ordered a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese and loved it. Would definitely come back to try something else. They had a decent amount of tables. I stopped by around 12pm on a Saturday and was able to find seating pretty easily. The staff was friendly as well.

We purposefully tried a different bagel spot each morning while in NYC and this one topped the chart! 10/10 for the location, atmosphere, and most importantly flavor!! They had so many different flavored spreads & freshly made bagels to choose from. Will definitely be back!

Bacon egg and cheese everything bagel

Busy bustling bagel shop with really interesting cream cheese options! I keep thinking about the cucumber dill cream cheese and how I should have gotten that, I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was good but had too much egg and cheese for my liking. Loved sitting in here on a busy sunny Saturday morning. Will be back for the cucumber dill cream cheese!

    A pun!

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.

We stopped in around 9:30 AM on a Saturday, and the place was buzzing--a clear sign of its popularity. While it is strictly a "to-go" spot, the efficiency of the operation makes the morning rush manageable. The Logistics & Ordering The menu is expansive, spanning three screens with an incredible variety of bagel types, cream cheese flavors, meats, and cheeses. Despite the line, the ordering process was straightforward. A major plus: you have the option to have your bagel toasted before they assemble the sandwich. Our coffees were ready within 2-3 minutes, and the sandwiches followed about 10 minutes later--very reasonable given how busy they were. The Food I went with a classic Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on an Egg Bagel. * The Bagel: The egg bagel itself was phenomenal. It had that perfect, authentic texture that makes NYC bagels famous. * The Build: The sandwich was very generously portioned. Every bite was delicious, well-balanced, and exactly what you want from a hearty breakfast sandwich. The "Extras" One of the most charming and unexpected parts of BTS is their candy selection. They carry an array of nostalgic and "internet-famous" treats I didn't even realize were still in production (or existed at all!). Keep an eye out for: * Dr. Pepper Tic Tacs * Krispy Kreme Doughnut Jelly Beans * Strawberry Creams * Pickle Candy The Verdict Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a top-tier spot for a reliable, high-quality NYC breakfast. Just be prepared for a crowd, but know that the payoff is worth the wait. If you are looking for a quintessential NYC bagel breakfast sandwich, Bagel to Sandwich (BTS) on W 40th is a must-visit.
