Average bagel with charm. This place reminds me of back in the early 00's bagel shops my mom took me to. It's for the everyday New Yorker and college student that they actually honor. I had a bagel with butter and jelly it wasn't amazing but the bagel quality wasn't bad it was just right and for a New Yorker that's better than another reason to curse after you've spent your money. Definitely be sure to make a stop here if you're ever in the city near the NYU area! (and obviously if you're a student you have to try it if you haven't already). This place is TINY, but every time I've gone I've been lucky enough to get a spot to sit. There's 2-3 small tables and then a bar you can sit at that faces the window. It's super affordable, but it's cash only so be sure to bring that with you, or you can use their ATM (there's also plenty of ATMs nearby so you'll probably be able to find one for your bank). Pillowy bagels that are slightly smaller than your average NYC bagel, the bagel sandwiches here are the perfect size. Always get lox, scallion cream cheese, tomato, and red onion on a toasted bagel, and the proportions are always just right/very satisfying. My one gripe here is that the everything bagel does not have anywhere near the appropriate amount of seasoning on it (it's basically just a plain bagel), but I really like their pumpernickel. read more
