Stopped by this bagel shop today after a long, exhausting shift, hoping for a quick breakfast on my commute. The place wasn't busy, so I expected a smooth experience but wow, the service was rough.I ordered the Eggwich Deluxe with an egg bagel. When I got to the register, the lady behind the counter asked, "Anything else?" without even looking at me. I waited until she actually made eye contact to answer, "No, that's all." Then I thought it was my turn to pay turns out she was finishing someone else's order. Once she finished, she asked again, and I said the same thing. After paying, I grabbed a napkin, and she snapped, "I already put for you!" Like seriously? It's 9 a.m., and I'm just trying to get my breakfast. A little patience and kindness go a long way. Look, the food might be good, but terrible service is what sticks with customers. No one wants to be treated rudely, especially when all they're doing is trying to start their day. Honestly, being kind doesn't cost anything please, don't ruin people's mornings

The Bagel Street Cafe location in Mountain View has a friendly staff. It is a spacious store in a shopping and dining area. There is also a small but elegant seating area inside, if you do not wish to tan at their few outside tables. The eatery has numerous selections of bagel concoctions, as well as sandwiches and the like. Don't forget to try their Bagel Dog. A nice twist on a fast food classic.

Sausage and egg on a spinach Asiago bagel

I got sausage and egg on a spinach Asiago bagel. The egg tasted like microwaved eggs, and the bagel didn't have quite enough Asiago cheese. It had a distinct herb flavor to it that wasn't spinach. The overall sandwich was good, but not very memorable. The service was friendly and the prices very affordable. I did appreciate the ample seating that they have. I would come back and maybe try a different bagel.

Delicious bagels and friendly staff. Their scallion cream cheese spread was amazing. And their garlic and onion bagels were so good.

After my half-year in the Bay Area, I frequently find myself craving a good NYC-style bagel, and, while Boichik Bagels hasn't _quite_ cracked the code, they've gotten pretty darn close. Their bagels are delightfully dense and slightly chewy, with a great snap from the crust. They're a little bit heavier than my average NYC bagel, but they've definitely mastered the NYC-style ginormous schmear of cream cheese and/or loaded breakfast sandwich. I've enjoyed their bagels in both sandwich form (huge fan of the whitefish salad with cucumbers and tomatoes for a more protein-rich / substantive meal) and with just a generous helping of cream cheese (of which they have quite a few flavors, including several vegan options). They don't have a _ton_ of bagel flavors, but they do have all the classics. Boichik also has a surprising love for pumpernickel; while the classic pumpernickel is delicious, I'm a huge fan of their pumpernickel caraway salt for a bit of extra herb flavor and savoriness. The staff is friendly and efficient. While there isn't any seating inside, there's a smattering of tables outside or you can always snag a seat elsewhere in Town & Country.

It turns out they moved just to the other side of the parking lot a couple months ago. Our go-to order is their Hot Pastrami on an Asiago Roll (it comes with bacon too, but we decided to opt-out). It's a hefty sandwich for what you pay for, it will leave you feeling full or packing it to-go for some goodness later! With a big change for them, we were worried the quality would have the chance of going downhill, but I'm happy to report that they're just as good as we remembered. :) Congratulations to them on their upgrade of a storefront!

After returning from my NYC trip, I was inspired to seek out local bagel shops in search of bagel…read morethat are as good as the ones I had when I visited NYC. I did a search and found Bagel Street Cafe. It's located in the shopping center at the corner of Mathilda & Maude... sandwiched between Marty's Donuts on the left and KFC on the right. I stopped by to pick up some bagels to take home. It wasn't busy when I stopped by just before noon. There was one lady worknig there and she was super nice. I made the mistake of assuming that bagels on the shelves matched the flavor sign on the glass in front of the shelves. This is certainly not the case. I saw bagels behind the Super Combo and Onion signs. So I asked for some Super Combo bagels and some Onion bagels. The lady then told me that they were out of Onion bagels (and here I am thinking "but wait, I see bagels on the shelf behind the Onion sign). She then tells me that the bagels I see on the Onion shelf are 3 other flavors, Pesto, Spinach and I think she said the third one was Asiago. The Pesto and Spinach shelves appeared empty (on the right side, see photo). Well this is certainly confusing. So my tip to you is to not go by the bagels you see on the shelves. This is not the indicator of what flavors the have in stock. Just look at all the flavor signs and then ask for the ones you want to get. They could have a flavor in stock even if that shelf looks empty. And a flavor could be out of stock even if that shelf has bagels on it. I ended up picking up half dozen bagels (Super Combo, Pesto, and Spinach flavors). I had the Pesto and Spinach bales toasted with cream cheese. And I made sandwiches with the Super Combo bagels. I enjoyed all of them. I will have to go back and try some of their other flavors. There isn't a lot of seating inside, a few tables inside and 2 outside. I think most people take it to go. There's plenty of parking at this shopping center. Didn't see a restroom for customers. Not a big deal since I'm local. But it's something to consider if you're traveling and want to stop here for a bite to eat as you pass through the area. I know it's common practice to want to stop for both food and a comfort stop when traveling. Plus it would be nice having the ability wash hands after eating.
