We visited Cloud Bistro inside the Computer History Museum. After finishing the tour, we decided to have lunch here. The menu prices are pretty good for a museum café, and honestly quite impressive.

Iced mocha, raspberry limeade, tuna salad sandwich

We stopped by this cafe while visiting the Computer History Museum this past weekend. Service and wait time was standard. The iced mocha was made just the way I like it, sweet and chocolatey. The raspberry limeade was delicious and refreshing. The tuna salad sandwich was tasty and satisfying, with fresh tomato and lettuce, and the 7-grain slices toasted perfectly. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available. Tables were a bit messy on a Saturday afternoon, but we wiped one down ourselves in order to enjoy our refreshments before heading back into the museum. I liked this little cafe and wouldn't hesitate to return, even if not visiting the museum.

Very nice place! Especially outside! Clean, quiet and convenient Only one staff who is very busy and friendly

    Warmed tuna sandwich

Pizza was decent, tuna sandwich was okay it was warmed which was not good because the lettuce was hot and so was the tuna, it seemed like the just put the whole thing in the toaster oven. The raspberry limeade was fizzy and gross and do not recommend.

    Latte ($4)

This is a super-affordable spot that turns out great food in a great location - right in the Computer History Museum! Excellent natural light both in- and outside makes this a chic spot to grab a latte and a waffle and give your brain a chance to mellow out mid-way through your historical journey of abacuses, transistors, and supercomputers. We had a late breakfast here, and were surprised with the great quality of the food. I had the PB&J ($3.50), which was grilled in a panini press and served with a side of fruit. He had the steel cut oatmeal, which was hearty and also had fruit in it ($4). My latte ($4) was like drinking a cloud - excellent! With prices comparable (and in most cases, better) than Starbucks, there's no reason not to swing by on your next visit to the area. If you have trouble finding the place, just Google it! ;-)

    Standard menu.

New cafe and great alternative to Starbucks located inside Computer History Museum. Pour over Four Barrel coffee, soup, and vegetarian chili for less than $15! Free wifi and a nice and quiet place to work while charging. My food was a bit cool - but I'll give this place benefit of the doubt as the food was actually very good. I might come for the veg chili alone - $5 for a giant bowl.

This was the perfect amount of food and prices for our tired brains after all the computer history knowledge. The Tuna melt with pickled onions was AHmayzing!! Great options for kids too. Inspiring and quiet workplace with WiFi as well.

Coffee was kind of burnt for my taste but i had a pleasant experience Sunday afternoon post Mountain View farmers market when i was looking for a more isolated coffee shop but still in the area. The patio is very pleasant and the white interior has pretty much the look and feel you can expect from a museum café. Very quiet, mellow and they give you discount coupons for the food. Pastries were old looking so did not even try. Plenty of parking.

Small cafe in open floor space. Tables for ~16 and window bar seating for another 10 or so.

Three stars because the food was pretty decent, I had the monte cristo sandwich with a small side salad. Unlikely I'll ever go back though. Minus one big star because my soup never arrived, despite having paid for it (plus tip) in advance. When I was almost done with my meal, the runner asked if I was still waiting for the soup, I said yes and at that point I no longer wanted it. No refund offered. Minus another star because the open area is super loud and the screaming children don't make for a pleasant cafe experience.

Okay but... a hotel coffee shop with good matcha? That's the plot twist I didn't know I needed…read more We stopped here on my way out of Santa Clara heading to San Francisco -- it's conveniently close to a bunch of other spots, and since it's tucked inside a hotel, parking was ridiculously easy. (Underrated luxury.) Now, the hotel itself? Visually... a moment. It looked like someone invested serious money into it, but the design felt a little space-meets-startup-meets-what's-happening-here. Some elements felt elevated, others felt a bit makeshift. I genuinely couldn't tell what the theme was -- futuristic? celestial? boutique-on-a-budget? I'm still processing. The front desk team was clearly well-trained and knowledgeable -- they had every answer, every stat, every rate breakdown ready. But the warmth? Missing. I was hoping for a little storytelling since I'd never heard of the hotel before, and instead got a very matter-of-fact "we've been here five years" energy. Efficient, yes. Inviting, not quite. But let's talk about why you're really here: the coffee shop. Completely different vibe. Two people working, both genuinely happy, welcoming, and quick. We ordered a latte and a matcha to go -- total was about $22, which made me blink for a second -- but then I tasted the matcha. Oh. This wasn't the overly sweet, dusty-green situation you sometimes get. It tasted clean. Real. High-quality. The kind of matcha that feels intentional. I love Firehouse in Marin, but this? This was closer to serious coffee roaster-level quality. Smooth, organic-tasting, beautifully balanced. You could tell they care about what they're serving. Branding was strong, the space was cute, and I could absolutely see myself sitting there with my laptop pretending I'm writing something important. We grabbed ours to go, but it had that easy, airy, "stay awhile" energy. Would I book the hotel? Jury's still out. They don't have an in-house spa and mentioned bringing in third-party services for certain amenities, which made it feel a little less full-service than I expected. Would I go back for the coffee shop? Without hesitation. Delicious drinks, easy parking, quick service, and a vibe that actually makes you want to come back. Sometimes the side character steals the show -- and in this case, it's 100% the matcha.

Because, once again, I was distracted by the quality of the food, and there would be no way for me to do anything else, but to eat! Today, I was in the mood for something more than a salad (much as I wanted to preset what I had the first time coming here, I made a concerted effort to order something else...), thus I chose the Forager Flatbread. It took less time to make this time (roughly about five minutes after ordering), and when it came out, I marveled at how it looked like a work of art! Just beautiful! Each piece of herbed formage blanc flatbread had a nice, crunchy bottom (but not blackened) and a slightly tanginess, with a a good amount of "hen-of-the-wood" mushrooms, sweet roasted garlic and a bed of arugula. My, oh, my! My first bite was a multi-level extravaganza! The crunch of the bread, followed by the aroma of the herbs and arugula, then the saltiness of the cheese, the sweetness of the roasted garlic, the earthiness of the mushrooms - all came together as just a wonderful work of culinary art! This being my first time eating today, my saliva glands just fired off at first bite, causing a bit of intense pain from too much saliva shooting out. But, seriously, this was a very delicious entree, that I enjoyed from start to finish! Bravo for this second joyous experience!

There is a long table inside with an outlet extension for working that could comfortably seat 6 people, but up to 10 if you really wanted to. Inside, it's bright with all the storefront glass and spacious with its open strut ceiling concept. Aside from coffee and tea, they also have salads, croffles, tartines of various combinations, and pastries so you can grab a quick bite or dessert too. Parking is limited right in front of the café but there's another parking lot in the area so I wouldn't worry about parking here either. The cloud 9 name and theme is so clever since it is right by an aviation club. The music inside is light and unobtrusive. Outside there's a peaceful, quiet patio with shade, sun, and flowers. Pricey but the items were high quality. Store is a small footprint with limited utilities (no WiFi, bathroom was temporarily out of order).
