The service is SLOW (without apology) and the food is TASTELESS and BLAND (like they lost all access to spices) even for Central NJ which has some of the most tasteless food I have ever eaten. I attended a birthday party this past weekend in Middletown New Jersey. I asked the host who did the catering for his party. He said it was ordered and delivered by Bagel Talk on RT 9 North in Old Bridge New Jersey. There where a couple of trays of sandwiches made with Board Head meats. They also had a tray of bagels and spreads that he said were made fresh at Bagel Talk. These were some of best sandwiches and bagels I have had in many years, probably my life time. I can't wait until my next party so I can order the part tray and bagels with the fresh spreads from Bagel Talk, becauseI know if I need catering that's done right and that my guest will enjoy, then Bagel Talk is the pace to go. I was in town from PA visiting friends and they had ordered the Italian Hero Sandwich spread and salad platter for our get-together. We were all impressed!. A great presentation, delicious and reasonably priced. I decided to stop by on my way back to PA the next morning and check out the sandwich shop. The store was clean-which is very important to me and I didn't have any problem with the service. Quite courteous and nice. I ordered a sesame bagel with lox---Delicious and a dozen bags to take home. Next time I am in the area, I will make Bagel Talk-North Bridge a pit-stop. read more

Start hiring people who can take a simple order. I ordered bagel and lox and the girl behind the counter was clueless!! She had to ask someone else what I wanted. This took about 20 minutes. Meanwhile the order was done wrong because she was too busy eating a cookie to put it into their system right. This is the second time here there was a frustrating experience ordering. You have nerve offering Gluten Free bagels on your website and other Gluten Free sites/apps and upon arrival you tell me you do'nt know what Gluten Free is? Then your staff goes on to offer me real bagels b/c they didn't want to bother to understand what I was asking. Then the manager had the nerve to come out and LIE to me saying that "this location used to offer GF bagels but don't anymore "b/c who buys them anyway!?" Who buys them? How about people who have medical reasons? How about people who cant eat 'real' bagels but would like to spend the afternoon with their daughter and enjoy a meal together. We drove far to come to your store to be yelled at (yes, you yelled at me) and embarrassed b/c you would not admit that there is an issue and you continued to get more angry at me (the customer) for asking about GF bagels. Your store is called 'Bagel Talk' and its a shame b/c the actual good store in Marlboro (with the same name) is beyond nice and actually does offer GF products. You have no connection to them and I hope people go there rather than your store. How dare you make anyone feel as awful as you made me feel. I should not leave a store in tears. My daughter should not have seen me upset. This all could have been handled in a nicer way if you apologized and acted as a decent person, rather than getting mad at me, the customer for showing you proof on the websites that says your store offer GF products. I travel on route 9N every day and I'm thrilled to have found a GOOD bagel store on my way! Bagel Talk is not only clean, bagels are' Brooklyn' style. The staff is attentive to their customers and most importantly, the food has been wonderful. I had the commuter special which is fresh and quickly made to order. I took a chopped salad to go with their homemade oriental dressing- WOW. There are so many interesting choices on their menu. Can't wait for tomorrow. I have to pick up breakfast for me and 2 co-workers. read more
