Bagel Rock Coffee has the best bagels in Ventura County, no question. Freshly baked, perfectly chewy, and paired with quick, friendly service -- it doesn't get better. The menu has plenty of options, but my personal go-to is the lox bagel sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. The combo of smoky salmon with the kick of jalapeño cheddar is unbeatable. Whether you're grabbing breakfast on the go or hanging out with a coffee, this place always delivers.

Price for milk in my latte

I ordered a late with almond milk I think she gave me soy and then charged me for a flavor/ syrup/ soy . So if o don't choose dairy in my latte I get charged extra price ?? This is crazy ness I would have rather gone to Starbucks and had a good coffee flavor as this to me is week.

BEST BAGELS in all Ventura County! All other bagels are mediocre compared to Bagel Rocks bagels. The taste....all the flavors with every bite, the consistency and texture of these bagels is immaculate. They have so many flavors to choose from my favorite is the cheese and onion. The shop is in walking distance to the new CMH hospital. When my mom was in the hospital, I was frequently visiting this store. There is a certain comfort found in food and I found that comfort in this bagel shop. So glad it's there for people. So when you're going down Main Street headed towards the beach, make sure to look over to your right and stop in for a great bagel : )

The people who worked there were so nice and friendly and everyone who came in seemed to be a regular and everyone knew everyone type of thing. It felt very homey. I have lived in Ventura county my whole life but it was my first time trying this place. I got the 4 cheese bagel with the works which includes cream cheese, salt, pepper, tomato, and onion. My friend got the same thing as well as a strawberry danish. The bagel was SOOOOOO good and my friend thought so also. The strawberry danish was okay but my friend really liked it. The only thing is it was kinda pricey in my opinion, almost $10 for just the bagel with works but overall so tasty!

By far the best breakfast in Ventura: fresh bagels etc. and fixings. Perfect consistency breads/pastries with fresh egg, tomato, turkey etc made to order breads and fillings. All types of coffee and drinks. Steady flow and super fast workers who are lovely with personalized greetings and bantering with all. Just the right amount of morning cheer coupled with genuine happiness!! Great way to start your morning!! Super easy access street from parking in front and lot in back. Start your morning smiling, they do! If "Cheers" were bagel shop, it would be here. Also, if you're looking for inexpensive gifts scarves, feel beautiful and are $12 earrings and cards with envelopes. And the two couches and two leather chairs are super comfortable.

    Receipt for purchase

This place does not provide free water (with a purchase). Insane to me. Horrible place where I asked 3 times politely for a small glass of water and was told no. Unbelievable. By the way I was extremely excited to come visit due to the reviews, but I will never ever come back and I will share this.

Looking to grab a bite, I chanced upon Bagel Rock Cafe. I am surprised it wasn't any busier as they have great heavy but quick breakfast and brunch options. They are quick to getting your bagel to you. They also have sandwich options to make it a heavier bite option. It is small and cozy inside. Parking can be found in back or alongside curb. If you're a bread lover, try out their bagels. While I can't remember the one I picked, it is the winner that I'll order in the future. It's full jammed packed with savory and creamy flavor.

Service is top notch and quick, but bagel leaves much to be desired. Hardly anything on my everything bagel, and the tomato had seen better days. They were generous with the cream cheese though. Might have just been an off day. It won't stop me from coming back unless it becomes a pattern.

    Crazy Bagel

Walked out paying close to $10 a bagel for this... that's wild. It's like someone stepped on it before putting it in the case. People were nice and the place was clean but this is not with it!

Ask the Community - Bagel Rock Coffee

Does anyone know if Bagel Rock ships? I loved their bagels while I was in Ventura and would like to have them shipped to my home.

I would just go ahead and call the store and ask them directly.

While it's still aesthetic-ish, it feels like a European restaurant imitating an American cafe but less dialed in. A little more kitschy than cute. The food, sadly, was mid. I ordered my usual - known as the Caffe Breakfast here ($18). It comes with 2 eggs, your choice of protein (chicken sausage for me), potatoes, and ciabatta. It tasted like a regular ole hotel breakfast. The texture of the chicken sausage was crumbly which I didn't prefer and the eggs looked and tasted kind of limp. We also tried an omelette which was better, but not by much. On a more positive note, the line moves fast (esp since you're standing out in the sun).

I thought the tacos would be decent, had a good attitude coming here, but boy, what a nice surprise this place was! Small line in front, you order, pay, go inside, wait for your order at pick up window. Simple! Tables on the pier, and they have a patio facing the ocean, nice view. Picnic tables! They sell wine, beer, margarita-s. Great selection! But the tacos!!! We got 4 between me and my husband to share and sample: Baja Taco (got fried fish) had fresh ingredients, lettuce and a nice lime flavor! Beach House Tacos (got grilled fish), nice pineapple salsa, tender fish, nice sauces and lettuce. Calamari Taco - fried calamari - fresh avocado and cabbage, nice sauce - chipotle. Marilu Taco with popcorn shrimp with nice chile lime crema, not too spicy. Even the fried seafood here is fresh, not very fried, just a tad, nice and crispy, but not greasy. Loved every taco, they are all different than each other, they use fresh ingredients and vegetables, each had a great, original flavor, they don't skimp on anything - seafood or ingredients. By far, some of the best tacos I ever had, they go in my Top 5. 4 Tacos (they are big!) are enough for 2 people. My and my husband we also shared a portion of guac and chips, they reminded us of Mexico. The guac had a lime flavor and well mashed, the tortilla chips are thicker and extra friend. Great food, nice service, unpretentious taco stand on Ventura Pier. Nice views. Wonderful discovery and a nice place to eat at! I am a fan!

Inside were three of the smallest "street tacos" I've ever seen. I've seen more substantial meals in Barbie's Dreamhouse. I ordered the carne asada, but apparently the salt shaker took the day off because the meat had absolutely zero seasoning. No salt, no flavor, no redeeming qualities. The punchline? It took 1 hour and 25 minutes just to receive our appetizers. During that entire time, our waitress never took our dinner order, and our menus remained on the table the entire evening. After our initial drinks were delivered, no one came back to check on us or ask if we'd like another round, even though our table would have gladly ordered more drinks. We later noticed that gratuity had already been added to the bill. Whether or not that had anything to do with the service, the lack of attention was disappointing. I understand restaurants can get busy, especially on nights with live entertainment, and I'm usually very patient. But waiting over an hour for appetizers without ever having the opportunity to order dinner, combined with almost no follow-up from our server, isn't the level of service I expect when making a reservation in advance.
