I have always loved this place. Be aware that they only accept cash and checks though! They have been doing an excellent job maintaining their great food and service throughout this COVID time. My work gets lunch there to go a couple of times a month or more, and we especially love the lox and egg salad and fresh bagels (fresh makes a big difference for sure). We also appreciate the curbside service, and I like that they offer natural no caffeine soda options. I even had then prepare some food for a wedding, and had many compliments. read more

It was a bit confusing at first, because we weren't sure if we should order at the counter or just sit down, but the guy behind the counter was super helpful and told us what we need to do. So we sat because we were dining in. I can't review their coffee because I didn't have any. Hubby said that their coffee was coffee. Not over the top but doable. He got the corned beef hash. Sooooo much better than Goldbergs. Goldbergs stuff is mashed. But there was a lot of it. So come hungry if you're getting that. The best bagels in town. This is a cozy little place that draws a friendly crowd. Because it is a Jewish restaurant, there is no pork or bacon but they have great corn beef or pastrami omelets. My husband is a breakfast potato lover and this place makes the best. They also have a great deli and bakery with many great choices. They serve huge lunch sandwiches and have good sides. I absolutely adore this deli. I never miss a Saturday morning breakfast at Bagelicious. The food is as authentic to a New York deli. The yummiest bagels, Nova platters and pastries. Try the homemade chocolate covered macaroons...I dream about them. Their prices are affordable and the environment feels very homey. We are always greeted with big smiles and a warm welcome from the entire staff. Nolan, Ambrose and Mary Beth are our faves! I have a number of Jewish friends who swear by this place and I will say that the bagel I had was very tasty however I think this is more of a nostalgic thing for them because they are clearly missing the glaring service errors at this place. And that's not all, but we will get to the hair later. We got here on Sunday at 2:15p so it was pretty empty, only a few tables busy many of them finishing up. Yet, it took them a bit to notice us standing there trying to figure out whether to seat ourselves or if they would seat us. That is hard to do considering the large amount of employees the place seems to have. Anyway, we sat down and the nice but but clueless young woman did get everyone water except me because she told me they had grapefruit juice so I got that. Turns out she didn't explain it wasn't real juice so I returned it and asked for water with no ice. I got it with a lot of ice. Later the server took our order. My onion bagel was delicious but the corned beef was slightly bland. My husband had a few knishes which I tried but they were also rather tasteless. Finally, the pastrami which my daughter had was very good but not excellent as I would expect. We now get to the hair incident. In the middle of my potato salad (which was actually really delightful) I found a short black hair. My hair is long and mostly purple and blue so it definitely was not mine. At that point I was not eating anymore. Another couple of service issues was that the server just put down the check when we were about to get some desserts for the girls, they NEVER took our dirty dishes away even when they were staring her in the face and our table was just crowded with filthy dishes and she asked me if I wanted more coffee, I said yes, she turned around and never came back. Later I saw her chatting away with one of the other employees behind the counter. Ive given them two stars because I don't want to discard the excellent bagels, pickles, and the potato salad (save for the disgusting hair) but this place is way overrated! read more

Only word I can use to describe Begaliciois - Stellar! Smell, atmosphere, and flavors will make you feel like you're in one of the busy local favorite delis in NY. Everything was fresh, and service is super quick and efficient. Bagels had the perfect crisp exterior, soft and chewy interior of a properly boiled bagels. Sandwiches were all generous portions, and schmear were packed with flavor. Nothing very trendy here, you won't find instagrammers and "influencers" standing on chairs and bending over their table to capture a shot. Came here on a Sunday morning and business was booming. The line moves relatively quick but be ready to order once it's your turn. All the menu options are on display so it'll be easy to spot what you want. All of the bagels and sides are also available to see deli style. I chose the turkey on a plain bagel, and my girl had a plain bagel as well with cream cheese. We originally were going to take the food to go and eat in the car because it was so busy, but a table opened so we sat down. The bagels came in about 10 min and they were fresh. Mine was steaming hot and the cold cuts were tasty. The only few cons I'll say about this place is if they're busy you can definitely feel it. People are running around trying to snag a table once available so be ready to pounce on one. The inside can be very tight fitting. They are also a tad bit expensive for my taste. We're seldom in this neighborhood and came because of its proximity to the Half Price Books nearby. It was on New Year's Eve weekend and the strip mall seemed empty in the mid-morning hour. It was bustling inside though. Very active and had we arrived 20 min later, likely would have to wait. My bagel breakfast sandwich & separate bagel & cream cheese were excellent. The owner Tommy is awesome love him to death And the food is excellent there's no doubt about that. It just seems like some (Not all) of the people that work there just don't want to be there, attitude city! I'm always very polite, a gentleman and genuinely interested in saying hello and being friendly. One of their delicacies is Kippered salmon and when I ask if they have it from the belly seems to be a real big deal. Just depends on what mood they're in on that day. No matter if you get a sandwich on fresh rye bread ...challah or a Bagel they are super "PHAT". Yes there are lines ... A great deli. When it comes to bagels theirs are as good as any I've had in the deli enclaves of NJ and NY. They also make a very good sandwich, nowhere the size of the ones formerly offered by the Carnegie (R.I.P.), but just as good and more modestly priced. I decided to have corned beef hash for breakfast recently. As an aficionado of this dish I could hardly wait! The good news is that it's homemade. The corned beef is freshly sliced from a brisket, chopped and then combined with potatoes and onions. The portion was huge. The bad news is that the potatoes and some of the onions were closed to being burned. Also the eggs (it comes with three) were supposed to be over medium. What I received was closer to over well. It's doubtful I'll order this dish again but I will continue to frequent this place. If you like New York-style Jewish delis, this is as good as it gets in Atlanta. read more

The only place in East Cobb that has matzo ball soup besides the Marietta Diner. When I went to the register to pay I was informed that it was cash only. No signs any where saying that. They have an atm in the back that charges you $3 per transaction. So I ultimately paid almost $10 for a bowl of soup. Save your money and go down the street to the Marietta Diner. read more

The bagels are real. If you know what I mean, then you get it and you should try this place. Everything is centered around the bagel here...sandwiches, pizzas, etc... And they have salt bagels, for those of you who are still alive to enjoy them. I'd recommend the brisket sandwich if you're a big meat eater. Probably the best I've had. The only complaints: It's not over the top service and sometimes very matter-of-fact. A few times I wondered if the staff were being rude, but I think that's just how the place is. The place also feels like a school classroom or cafeteria...very plain and bare bones. Minor stuff though. Overall, you should give this place a try for breakfast or lunch. It's been around forever and has still thrived with an Einsteins next door and a Goldbergs down the street, so they have a loyal following. One last thing: I went in one morning forgetting they don't take credit cards. I had no cash, but they still let me take my food and told me to just come back later to pay them back. That's pretty classy and you'd only find that at an independent neighborhood shop like this, which are the places I really love to support. Go support them, too. read more

It pains me to give them 3 stars, when their bagels and shmear are very good for Georgia bagels. I state that as I moved down here from NY/NJ Metro area 2 years ago, so I'm a bit biased. Actually, it's the only place I'll go for bagels Overall, the service is always good, although it can be hectic at times, but they have someone filling up coffee and water throughout your meal, which placates most on a Saturday or Sunday morning. My complaint is the older woman at the cash register who I believe to be the owner. She has to realize this is a customer service business. A smile would be nice, or how about Thank you for dining with us...something!!! She might even want to engage the kids as they are at the register, as they might ask their parents to buy them an extra "black and white" cookie. I'm surprised the staff is so nice with her at the helm. It's unfortunate because after a very good breakfast, your last experience is her, which is far from warm and fuzzy. If I had a better alternative, I would go elsewhere. Great Bagel, very good table service staff, and awful personality at the cash register. I will amend my post to include her name next time. I stopped in on my way back to Adairsville. I was speaking with the lady checking me out. Telling her I moved from Cobb to Adairsville in November and had not had a bagel since. A real bagel not store bought or Dunkin Donuts and such. I ordered three and went to pay. Not one dime in my pocket or check on me. I pulled my debit card out and she told me they only take cash and checks. I might have had a look on my face as if I was going to cry. She gave them to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
