I have never heard of this place until my sister told me to try it out. Coming into this place you can see that it's super school spirited. There's pictures of the times when ECU football team has one. Everyone who was in there was pretty much a college student or at least wore some ECU shirts. There's a lot of options for types of bagels. I got the jalapeño bagel with plain cream cheese toasted. When it came I was shocked how much cream cheese they gave me. I usually just have a thin layer so I took a few of it off. However this is the best cream cheese I've ever gotten. My friends got the 3 egg omelette and BLT. They said it was really good as well. It was all super filling. A nice thing is if this is your first time you can download an app called Stealz which lets you have a bagel for free! The other amazing thing is that you can draw on their tables! I felt like a kid again, but of course a "big" kid. The employees are super nice and easy to talk to! Above par for a lightly toasted bread restaurant. Quality baked foods and other light amenities are provided without tacky, bakery décor and aesthetic. Ever so slightly heavy on the ECU motif, but is fitting given location. As one cannot ascertain fully, it felt as though the proprietor has dwelt among the intended and target demographic of those who enjoy all bread products in general. We stopped in for lunch on Saturday. Ordered the Reuben sandwich on rye and it was delicious! The employee gave us the options, like choice of bread , sauerkraut or Thousand Island or mustard. The coffee selection is very overpriced for what you get so I'd skip that altogether. Mostly this is a typical bagel place. But I'd say my favorite thing about it is when I get the breakfast bagel which has bacon egg and cheese they really load it down with cheese. I mean when you could split that bad boy apart and there's enough cheese you could strangle a dairy cow. This is simply an outstanding bagel shop and cafe as far as the quality of their food and general atmosphere. So far, my favorite place for breakfast in town. I'm dinging it one star because if you use their self-ordering kiosk, not only does it auto-prompt to add a tip and makes it hard to NOT give a tip (why am I tipping? I'm entering the order myself!), but if you order a drink, you have to go out of your way to actually get it. I really had high hopes for this place. The owner is from New York and I thought this would remind me of home. Instead, I came in to an over crowded store and incompetent workers. I'm not sure if the girl working was new but she messed up my order and was not apologetic in the slightest. I'm not sure if I'll give this place another chance. If you do go, get the blueberry bagel and honey walnut cream cheese. The savory bagels are average at best. The sandwiches aren't always made the same regardless how ordered but they are good. There is a variety of items such as plenty of vegetables. Careful if you order ahead of time because they make as soon as order is received. It's timely just don't plan ahead. Let me preface this review by saying generally, bagels and sandwiches, although quite pricy, are delish, so for that reason 4 stars. The $15 Reuben, however, was not worth it. Save yourself the $, and get something else. The bread, sauerkraut and melted cheese was so good, but the corned beef was super fatty and so thinly sliced that I couldn't easily pick off the fat enough to be able to enjoy my sandwich. My husband and I had been looking forward to trying this pricy sandwich for months, and unfortunately it was a disappointment and left us still hungry by the time we tried to pick off all the fat and basically trash most of the meat. We will be back, but not for any corned beef. read more

I had high hopes due to the reviews of others; however, I was quickly disappointed. I purchased a bagel sandwich with an OJ. My bagel was hard on the perimeter yet not thoroughly baked in the center. The sandwich overall wasn't very tasteful. The egg, especially, was unseasoned. My small bottle of OJ cost over $2! (My oversight for not asking the price.)
