Man o man this place reminds me of all the bagel shops that opened up in Los Angeles that are no longer around. Every bagel type and good coffee. This is my third time here. I walk here from home on my dog walk and they're dog friendly in the patio. I'm going post pictures of the patio since it's so nice. This place has been a go-to breakfast place for me and my entire family since forever! The bagels are consistently great. The veggie cream cheese is like no other veggie cream cheese. It's the best. The drinks are all good and there is such a great community vibe here. The employees are all so nice and helpful. Once they even made a mistake on my bagel and GAVE me the mess up to take home. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good little spot for coffee and breakfast items. Came to meet up with a friend who's a local. It was quite busy at 8:30am on a Friday morning--obviously a popular spot. While the main building where you place your order was small, they did have a covered patio area for expanded seating and also a drive thru, if you're really on the go. They also had what I thought was a potentially confusing ordering system: you put in your food/drink order with the person behind the tall food prep counter, then pay at a separate station a little further down. Since both stations had input terminals, if you're a newb like I was, you might not be immediately aware that the first station doesn't handle payments. Luckily I figured it out before making a faux pas and all was well. Once you place your order you wait outside for them to call you to a window to pick up your stuff. They do have a mic, so no need to worry about being out of earshot when they call you. The staff was friendly and efficient, and my small hot latte to go was great. Figured it's time to update this review so it's more recent! I got the Bagel C C A L P on Lightly Toasted Garlic Bagel with Extra Cream Cheese, Jalepeno, and add Egg. It was just like I remembered! Flavorful and unique with the lemon pepper cream cheese. The garlic bagel toasted was a nice touch. I would suggest adding the egg if you want to be extra full! F O O D This was my first time here so I had no expectations. The plain bagel was delicious: perfectly toasted on the outside and soft on the inside. But they were so skimpy with the strawberry cream cheese. I'm used to places loading it up, but you couldn't even see the cream cheese between the two halves. I stopped by today for bagels. I arrived at 9:45, bought 4 Italian, one cheese and one Mexican bagel. I haven't been for a few months, but normally the bagels are near to fresh from the oven, not too chewy, tasty. Today all of them were dry, hard, all I can think is that they were either left over from yesterday or just way overbaked hours ago until all the moisture was gone. I had to struggle to cut them in half with a serrated blade they were so tough and unpleasant to eat. Almost rocks. And chewing them was like chewing left over dried bagels left on the counter several days ago. They do a huge volume of business, a dozen plus cars in line at the drive up, a half dozen people in the shop, there is no reason for there to be dried up stale bagels in the shop. Bagels are delicious. Service is great. I wish I had known about the 4% credit card fee though. I would have paid cash if I had known. I got the cheese bagel. There is an up charge for the special bagels. No sausage or bacon as options for meat. The place was very busy at the drive through. I have loved this place for 30 years but today was an experience I hope to never have again. I went inside instead of the drive thru and after 45 minutes the line didn't move, while the drive thru line did. Inside they were only taking care of online orders and not anybody who had walked in. I would suggest that when it's gets busy like that, they either are transparent with people inside there is going to be a very long wait or shut off their online ordering because to wait 45 minutes and not even order was disappointing to say the least. Came in the AM, and they were packed! There were about 10 people in line, and we were all jam-packed inside waiting to order. The cashier was both taking and calling out orders, so there was quite a wait between each person taking an order for her to fulfill the people that were waiting. There are also a few seats outside, but they were all full when we came. There are a lot of hot coffee options, which I appreciated, but the coffee seemed diluted/ watered down, and I didn't particularly enjoy it. bagelmania is the go to bagel spot in HB. i've been going here since i was little. everything is a good choice here, i go with the lemon pepper and avocado bagel tho. the line can get pretty long on the weekends so id recommend going early. they have a small indoor queue to order and a outdoor patio that's usually pretty quite and cozy. read more

Stopped into Bagelmania Coffee House and was not disappointed. I ordered the lox bagel and it was outstanding -- super fresh, nicely balanced, and they definitely don't skimp on the salmon. The portion was generous, the flavors were spot-on, and it hit that perfect breakfast comfort zone. Cozy vibe, friendly service, and honestly one of the better lox bagels I've had in a while. We ended up here after trying without success to get into the Peppermill and were pleasantly surprised. The wait was super long to get a table but once we did the service was fast and friendly. We got some Pinkbox donuts to hold us over but still had room for more! I had the Rueben omlet with home fries and an everything bagel. Very good. The bagel was legit NYC style, nice and chewy. The employees greeted me with a smile and were very kind. They prepared my drink quickly. The coffee tasted good and had the right amount of syrup. I'm glad that they offered sugar-free options. They assured me that they use the sugar-free which I always appreciate it was very affordably priced and they accepted contactless payment. I needed to go to the restroom and it was around the corner of the building and I originally couldn't find it so they directed me to the right area and gave me the code . I really appreciated their help. I came on Valentine's Day and the interior and exterior were decorated, which was lovely ! They were selling heart-shaped bagels. They offer a large variety of bagels, smoothies, teas, coffees, sandwiches, and even açai bowls. I've had their bagels and açai bowls in the past and was very impressed. They offer a variety of options for those who need dietary accommodations such as dairy free and gluten-free. They have a drive-through as well as seating. The garlic cream cheese is very garlicky and I will probably end up buying it on its own the next time I stop by here. Another update: It's really sad...20 something years of coming here and these days I come all the way from Anaheim and this is what they're putting out. A bagel with even less cream cheese than my previous post/pics. There's no better bagel in the area but come ON with the dry ass bagels. I can't believe I was even charged for cream cheese on my blueberry bagel. So they make 4oz of strawberry cream cheese for the whole day? I even order my bagel "open faced" to avoid the issue with the cheese. When I came last weekend I waited in line for 25 min and never even got to the speaker. They would take one order, wait for that order to be completed and the car has driven away from the pick up window away before they'll even start another order. I called in from the drive thru and got helped and out the door before the car in front of me even got to put her order in. I was however late to the appointment I left an hour ahead of time for...I've left messages and nobody calls back to management isn't very involved if two weekends in a row were this bad.... read more

12/23/25 I am a long time customer at Bagelmania and I'm very taken back by my visit today usually I get the best service and quality food but that was not my experience today. I came in today through the drive-through around 2 o'clock pulled up to the speaker and immediately got told " we'll take your order in a second " in the most condescending tone , which I proceeded to wait another 3 minutes. No Hi how are you and no sorry for the wait what can I get started for you, just "what can I get for you" in the same condescending tone. I ordered the Nova Lox special on an onion bagel , I get to the window and the girl that had taken my order initially (brown hair with bangs didn't get her name) that was taking my payment had forgotten to ask me if everything on the bagel was okay ,which I accepted because I had already ordered and was already annoyed at the customer service I didn't wanna deal with anymore of it , I waited another 4 minutes at the window for my order and was told "here's your food" no have a good day or have a good one at least, so I was on my way with a bad visit already just from the customer service. The quality of the ingredients were not the best the onions had bad spots on them and were inedible (pictured below) , I got TWO BOTTOMS of the onion bagel which I noticed immediately because I always look forward to the tops of the bagels because they do such a great job with the topping of the onions, my bagel was BURNT usually I don't mind an over toasted bagel but this one was burnt to a crisp (pictured below). Which leads them to putting a boat load of cream cheese to cover it up but all I could taste was the burnt bagel, horrible! I couldn't get through the rest of it because the Lox (salmon) tasted extremely fishy like it had been sitting out. No wonder they have 2 health code violations . I really couldn't say one positive thing about my visit which I hate to say because I used to love this place, but I wont be coming again. read more

I never leave bad reviews, I love bagelmania and have been a frequent customer for years. I don't know what has changed there ( maybe new owners or management) but the last several times I have driven through they haven't gotten our order correct. I try to check the order before driving away, but today I didn't and again the order was completely wrong. It makes me sad, and I felt others should be aware, to at the very least check your entire order before leaving. It's a HB local favorite restaurant and I wish they could figure out the issue. I have taken my order back several times to have them fix it and some of the times I just don't take it back. It is 12/19/25 on a Friday between 12:50-1:30pm. Came here for a second time because the morning crew usually does a good job and convinced me to comeback. Today I got the rudest customer service, I don't know why they had to act so horrible for no reason. I asked what kind of bagel comes in the holiday bagel and she just remains quiet. Made me wait almost ten minutes at the window with no greeting or anything. After an eternity this super scrawny girl gives me the bagels almost slamming it into my hands and gives me a nasty stare. All while the cook in the back is also giving a dirty look as I'm pulling away. I definitely don't feel comfortable eating the food here. I used to love Bagelmania and would wait all year for their pumpkin bagels, pumpkin cream cheese, and pumpkin spice coffee. Well, they finally got'em in this year and I was very disappointed. Bagels are smaller and don't taste like pumpkin at all. Cream cheese has a mild pumpkin flavor, not like before. And no pumpkin spice coffee. Instead tried a pumpkin spice latte but there was zero pumpkin flavor so I returned it. Quality has gone way down, at least for their pumpkin items. Wide variety of bagels, spreads, coffee, etc. My go-to for about 15 years is Egg McBagel with sausage and cheddar on a Mexican bagel. Exquisite. Service is always on point. They have a good selection of coffee drinks that are pretty good. I usually go for just plain ol' coffee, which is decent. They're mainly a breakfast joint, but they have bagel sandwiches that would do you solid during lunch. Solid spot. read more
