I love Jersey Mike sandwiches and the employees at this location are great. However, this week I went in to get a sandwich at 11 am. Its posted that store opens at 10 am. As I waited in line, I noticed dirty and ??wet towels on top of meat refrigerator. The glass divider was dirty with dried old lettuce and mayo stains. The floors were filthy with food particles underneath their back counters and bread cart. It leaves me to wonder the condition of the back rooms... are wet towels left on countertops used to clean tables/bathrooms; and if the store had been open for one hour, was the food prep area cleaned before closing the night before. read more

The gentleman cutting the meats was conversational with every client that passed him, the girl at the register had a huge smile on her face and was very helpful, there was someone sweeping and they really worked as a team. I got the Mikes Famous Philly and it was delicious. There were 5 people working which seemed like a lot but each of them was busy doing something and proactive. I've been to a lot of different Jersey Mikes and the ones here in Orange County are expensive compared to other locations and they don't give you any love for being a regular. They put the bare minimum of meat on the sub and if you want extra meat they charge you almost half as much as the initial sub price. If you go out of state or to other parts of California the pricing is less expensive and the extra meat cost is minimal. Don't get me wrong, I love their fresh sliced meat sandwiches, but I just don't go as often as I used to, as they have become very pricey ($8.95) for a regular sandwich. They do have double stamp Tuesday's in Huntington Beach, but that's about it. They seem to keep the same crew for quite awhile which is good for the owners. Overall, just ok. However I was greeted with a friendly hello, everyone wearing masks, and a clean atmosphere. The group of guys behind the counter were courteous, patient, and helpful. My sandwich was fresh and tasty... the Italian meats had great flavor, the produce was cold and crunchy, the bread soft and fresh, and the condiments of olive oil and vinegar married everything together! The guys looked like they were having fun and I could tell they were smiling behind their masks.... a very pleasant experience and I/we will be back for sure.
