"Disappointed by a Normally Great Experience"…read more I've always enjoyed stopping by Sunny Farms for lunch and usually have a good experience. However, today was disappointing. I was in a rush during my lunch hour and didn't notice until a few minutes later that I was charged $6.99 for a single bottle of water--not a case. Fortunately, I wasn't far and went back with my receipt and the bottle. What left me unsettled wasn't just the mistake, but how the return was handled. The receipt was snatched from my hands and crumpled, and though I was told I would get $7.40 back, I was initially handed only $5.40. When I questioned it, the cashier turned around, pulled out the $2, and handed it over, explaining the process as if I had misunderstood something. No apology was offered for either the overcharge or the mix-up with the refund. I get that mistakes happen--we're all human--but customer service is about how those mistakes are handled. This time, it missed the mark. I'll continue to shop here, but I'll definitely be double-checking receipts moving forward.

Interior was bright and decorated w pics of Greece small space but they made good use w tables and booths. No one was on top of each other and the waitstaff could move easily around. Our waitress was considerate of w us considering the menu being in the larger size and lots of different choices it took us time to decide what to eat. My fil had a western omelet w home fries He liked the portion and said it tasted great. He loved that you had jellies for the extra toast on the table w a variety of choices. My son had your egg burger and like the way the egg and burger came out just like ordered medium well. He liked the fries too. They were crispy and hot. My aunt and uncle both ordered the BLT w mayo on the side. They like that the waitress asked. The said the sandwich tasted good and the bread was toasted well. I had a special. A panini of grilled chicken spinach roasted pepper and fresh mozzarella. I like the flavors the spinach was steam great and they had a good portion size. Most places I've had spinach on a sandwich it not enough for each bite not this one was. My only critique in the negative was that the bread used became soggy when I was taking a break to eat they well done delicious fries. I shared w others who also liked them. My lunch came w soup although she first brought me lemon rice soup. I corrected her by saying is this the lentil she took it back and I watched her pore it back into the soup container. And although that's not something I would do and I know I didn't touch it but that should not have been done in my eyes. The lentil did come out and it was delicious lentil not over cooked broth had good flavor. Only other mistake was my drink I ordered a Diet Coke and I believe the first one was a mix of diet and ice tea once I let our waitress know she fixed the order. My son pointed out that they only have another drink for serving for free. I also tried the water which was as good, and if you've read other of my reviews I am a water snob so this one passed with flying colors.

I had this same feeling at Long Island Pekin (unfortunately they're no longer open) and was happily wrong... but unfortunately my fears were borne out here. Not that the food was bad... I enjoyed what I had. BUT this was more like an American idea of what a Mongolian BBQ would be like. Mongolian BBQ restaurants used to be ubiquitous on Long Island back in the early 80s and 90s. I was first introduced to the concept at Homer's International located inside the Best Western Hotel in Woodbury. During the day they had the typical meats (beef, pork, chicken and shrimp) but at night they'd often introduce more exotic fare like rabbit, venison and alligator. The last bastion (at least that I've found) of those old Mongolian BBQs is at the Islandia Buffet. Many years ago they replaced the traditional round, domed grill with a Hibachi grill but the concept is still there. AYCE Mongolian BBQ has a round grill, but it is not domed; it is flat with a hole in the center. They had the expected proteins (chicken, pork, beef) and vegetables but were missing the bean sprouts I love so much. The sauce selection was also "off." No hot chili oil, no garlic, no brown sauce. Instead there was an odd collection of Louisiana hot sauce, teriyaki, Korean BBQ and other flavors. Instead of you pouring it over your meats and vegetables they wanted you put it into a little metal cup and hand it over to the cook at the grill. This made it tricky if you wanted two different sauces. Also odd for an Asian restaurant was the fact that I didn't see any rice anywhere. Anyway, the food wasn't BAD but as this place is almost 50 miles from where I live and the Islandia Buffet is so much closer (and more authentic in my eyes) I doubt I'll be back. It was a nice experience, the wait staff was friendly and attentive and the price was reasonable. It just doesn't rate five stars in my eyes.

She must be a mom because she was super patient and intuitive of our needs. The meal itself, was great. Unfortunately, when we left I forgot my wireless headphones at our booth. We said our goodbyes to the MIL and drove a bit to a nearby gad station when I realized. I immediately called and was told that no one turned in any headphones. We drove back within five minutes and asked to check. No headphones. I asked if they had a camera and they directed me to the manager, Anthony, who also checked the booth, Lost & Found, and the office. No headphones. They took down my name and number, and said they would reach out if they were located. I think he should have checked their camera systems right then. Seriously speaking, it was either an employee or a patron - as a business owner, I'd want to be sure of which, because if you have a patron that regularly visits and cases people's belongings, I'd want to know so that I can refuse service to them. Conversely, if the perpetrator is an employee, that's even worse, because that means they have the audacity to steal while at work which means they'll steal right from under my nose. I don't like the idea of having to worry about leaving something at a business and not having it returned to me because the problem is coming from inside the house. I've never had this happen before. I'm wondering now, what would happen if I left my wallet or credit card? My headphones were on the seat of a booth, so they were not visible, but if someone that cleaned the table and seats noticed them, it would be easy to pocket without an issue. Crab Cake Salad was decent, although, do not like the honey mustard dressing - asked for ranch instead. Way better. Gourmet Mac w/Pulled Pork was really good. The cheese sauce was ok. The protein brought out the oomph...would taste better if the Mac could stand alone. Kid's Pizza - large serving. Our kid ate about half. Decent pizza. Club Sandwich - my MIL got this and liked it. It was a rather large serving.

It's the perfect blend of a traditional Long Island Deli and a Bagel shop. Longer story: I recently moved further east from Huntington into the local area and have been disappointed with the quality of food options around here (or lack thereof), especially when it came to bagels. So much so that each weekend for our morning bagel routine I would try a new bagel spot on yelp. 10-15 bagel spots in and there was nothing that really drew me in. I was hopeful when I saw bagel boss was opening a location in yaphank, but I tried it twice and both times were terrible. It was expensive, rather lackluster food quality, and they got my orders wrong both times whether ordering in person or on the app. I finally came across this place on yelp, which markets mainly as a deli (doesn't even come up on Apple Maps when you search for bagels), but saw another review that highlighted their bagel options. So tried it out. We finally found our morning bagel spot! There's not a huge selection or variety of bagels unless you get there early, but they're all fresh and delicious and they have all the staples. Their deli sandwiches are also amazing, very generous portions for the price and again, everything is fresh and tastes great. Will definitely be coming back regularly to this spot. Don't let the looks outside deceive you, it's a great place!
