The food was four star at least (but he overcharged us, so taking off a star). We were at the Festival Market. We decided to grab some lunch first and went to the food court. We both got their half sandwich and soup special. He got their tuna salad and I got their chicken salad -- both of us chose marble rye bread. I had mine toasted; he didn't. The sandwiches come with lettuce, tomato, and onion. He got everything and I left out the onions. It was nice to see the sandwiches made right in front of us. Freshly slicing the tomatoes and onions. Adding crisp lettuce. We each liked our salads a lot. There was a generous scoop on each half sandwich. The soup was mainly chicken broth -- though tasty -- with a few bits of chicken meat and lots of chopped carrots. We also got one diet Snapple to share. He gave us cups of ice for it, even. We'd come here again for lunch as the food was very good -- but next time we would give more attention to what we were paying. read more

The owner and the guys that work at Bagels New York style deli are always great, personable, they work as quick as they can and they have to deal with the very slow, indecisive, very picky, usually female older customers!!! I don't know how they do it!!!! Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of my wonderful chicken salad sandwich with lettuce tomato and onion on a bagel with dr. My business has a showroom booth here at the Festival Marketplace and I eat breakfast at the food court almost everyday. This Bagel and NY Style deli is great. My typical order consists of a cheese omelette, a bagel, and a coffee but, I enjoy everything I order from this place. The staff running the place is very friendly and have yet to mess up on any orders. They run the place very well. The bagels are fresh and can be bought a dozen at a time if you wish. If you're at the Festival Marketplace in the morning; I highly recommend you have breakfast here. You won't be disappointed. read more

New owners. New chef. New recipes. This was not good news for the chicken salad, once excellent but now while fine not recommend-worthy. White meat that was a bit chewy, the sizes of the chunks and its dressing ratio were off. And the service, which I hope is new, definitely needs to take it up a notch or two. Lots of little and not-so-little mistakes with my order such as giving me tuna vs. chicken salad and over-charging. Note for example the pic of the former chicken salad platter. This time, no coleslaw, no potato salad, no pickle, apparently slightly smaller portions, and the bagel was initially charged as an add-on. Is this sloppy or inexperienced preparation, or the downsized new recipe? Don't know. Frustrating either way. Everyone was pleasant and what corrections that could be made were, which was appreciated... but until they get their act together (and I hope they do), three stars. read more

I was treated terribly today when I stopped in 11 minutes before they're supposedly closing.I had one gentleman tell me that the bagels were old the woman told me the bagels were not old they told me they did not have any hot meat that they closed the meat steamer 45 minutes ago well if you close at 5 o'clock why would you close the meat steamer down 45 minutes before you even close secondly I've never been treated this way at this establishment I've always been treated very well I doubt I will return here after today I am very disappointed with the staff and the service I received. One guy (the one that told me the bagels were old) jumped on the counter and sat there drinking a soda..he was never mean like this before. The girl I have NEVER seen there..I am wondering if they have changed hands. This crew needs a lot of polishing up...they will ruin a great business with their mean, lets leave before 5 pm when we say we close, contradicting stories about old and new bagels right into the ground..if they havent already. What happened to the nice people that ran this place and the guy that made the green bagels for st pattys day??? where did the good employees go??? I am so disappointed. Zero stars. Pastrami sandwich = $14.69. ( to go ) This includes a .79 cent charge for using your debit card. Pastrami is very salty and not the quality I was hoping for - for $14.69. Listen, I get that vendors are struggling but this purchase convinced me not to ever buy anything at this deli again. Sandwich comes with potato salad and two pickle spears. Pickles were rubbery and flavorless. Also, they were placed in same clam shell container as the potato salad. Pickle juice all over the potato salad and leaked into the bag in a puddle. The pickle should have been wrapped in wax paper. Drain off the pickle juice. Potato salad tastes like the mayo is mixed with that terrible stuff that comes in a jar and looks like mayo but label says Salad Dressing. Ok, so pickle spears and potato salad went right in the garbage. I gave some of the pastrami to the dog. Styrofoam boxes are the lowest quality and continually popped open during travel. read more

I was super excited to spend the day at the festival with my husband. We planned on eating before walking around. Now I'm super upset- ordered an omelette- worst ever - fresh eggs but didn't whisk them enough. Onions were not cooked inside with tons of oil and so much salt it hurt. The bagel was at least a few days old. Ordered nova spread with an up charge - tota with a bottle water $15- terrible- just bad. read more

I've probably been there about 10 or 12 times ,the bagels are always fresh ,large variety even egg bagels which are hard to find ,my kids love egg bagels ,lox is terrific and they have a whole white fish which is very unusual and hard to find and it's terrific smoked whitefish .I have never had anything other than a great meal there even though it's kind of hiddenIn this fleamarket place so if you want a great breakfast or lunch this is a nice place to go read more

I've eaten lunch twice there and it was great. The Reuben was on seeded rye and the corned beef was very tender. My smoked salmon bagel sandwich was good too. Both were too much to finish. I might go back before vacation is over and try a bagel with veggie tuna salad. That looked good too. The restaurant is in a very noisy food court and there was a line (understandably) at Bagels 4 You, but it was worth it. read more

Unfortunately, some things never change. I was there a year ago when the health department was shutting them down for major health code violations. Which is always interesting considering they were supposedly also kosher certified at that time. Their food has always been great. I've tasted the pastrami, corned beef, reuben, knishes, bagels, lox and all have been very good. So why the 2 stars your thinking??? Their food handling procedures have not changed. Everyone working there handles money, food, cleans and even EATS their the same (dirty) gloves with which they make your food. I've personally observed the owner, manager and staff doing this EVERY time I eat there. Sure, most of the customers in Festival Flea Market are too SENILE to notice. But my eyes are perfectly good and I find it INSULTING AND DISGUSTING for someone to be eating corned beef while slicing mine. They try to turn their back, sometimes. But I'm not stupid. Not blind.
