This is one of the few chain restaurants that I tend to come back to. Their app portions are huge so very good for sharing, though can get a little pricey in my opinion. This was my third visit here and have been consistently underwhelmed. When I asked what beers were on tap, I was told to check the menu. I stuck with water. While our appetizer came out promptly, the dip was crusted on the sides of the bowl like it had been sitting under a heat lamp too long. If you are a burger place then they should shine, I had to send my burger back while because it was cooked well done (when I ordered medium) only for it to come out well done again. Nice little craft burger tavern. If you like Korean BBQ, you have to try the Korean BBQ burger with kimchi and egg. The side salads are also quite good with a good mix of greens. They make their own soda, which is fine, but they don't tell you this after you tell them you want Pepsi/Coke. The craft soda is pretty gross and they charge you a lot for it. We went to try their burgers and was not disappointed! The mushroom and Swiss burger was one of the best burgers I have had! I did request a prime burger rather than the turkey burger it came on. The service was friendly, and quick. We were seated immediately, and checked on several times. The food came out quick and was great! I'm not sure why it wasn't very busy for a weekday lunch, but it is definitely one of my new favorites. Lots of parking and seating too. A pretty good value considering a chain like Flipside prices are a la carte. Waitress/bartender was crazy good and explained everything, including the repeat customer incentives. I'll start by saying I would rate Bagger Dave's three and a half stars if possible, and that my experience was better than expected. I was seated in the back, at a table by the bar. I really didn't like the seating because there was nowhere to hang my purse or hat, so I had to put my purse on the floor and hold my hat. I tried the root beer and the orange cream sodas. The root beer was okay, while the orange cream was definitely better. I ordered the bacon bbq burger (with chipotle bbq) and thought it was decent, although a little more greasy than I would have liked. (But I kind of expect burgers to be greasy so it's whatever.) The fries were by far my favorite part of the meal. I ordered the buffalo garlic sauce for dipping upon my server's suggestion and actually quite liked it. As far as service goes, I wouldn't say it was good or bad. Our server seemed to have quite a few tables so I don't really fault him. First of all, any place that calls itself a "Burger Tavern" (my favorite word as a kid combined with my favorite word as a - um - much older kid) is gonna get my attention, so I had to try it. It absolutely did NOT disappoint! Went for lunch, and wasn't ready for a beer yet, although they have a real nice selection of crafts and anything else you might want in a bottle. They do make their own fountain soft drinks - my buddy got Orange Cream and I got Black Cherry - and they're delicious! Burger was fantastic! Made from Prime Rib ( not my favorite cut, but it sure makes one hell of a burger!), you are given a choice of multiple bun types and several different cheeses. Choose you burger pink or no pink (I went with slightly pink and it was cooked PERFECTLY), and you get a choice of dipping sauce (Chipotle BBQ - yum!) for your fries or burger or whatever. Everything was delicious, I just chose to add a bit more salt & pep to my burger...but I always do that:-). Finally - it was the service that put this place over the top to the point where I'd like to give it 6 stars. Our server was Tara M. She may have ruined us for all other servers from here on out - she was that GREAT!!! She has a delightful personality and outstanding knowledge of the menu - every suggestion that she gave ( and that I was smart enough to listen to) was right on the money. We were SO happy to have had her taking care of us! All of the other employees were very pleasant and polite as well. Seems like they all enjoy working there and working with each other. Kudos to mgt/ownership for fostering that kind of work environment! The food is the only reason this place is getting two stars. It is a decent burger joint, with a good menu. However, the service was terrible!! We were seated in the back corner and were never assigned a server. A different person came to the table each time- one to ask and give drinks, one to ask and give food, and one to give the check. We were never checked up on!! And the night we went was not busy... at all. Staff were sitting around doing nothing. We waited 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table to ask our drink order. This time we waited 50 minutes for two burgers...no appetizers. So frustrating we were told by three different staff members that our order was the next up, then 3 back, then next up again only to wait another 15 min. We ended up taking it to go, they did comp the meal witch was nice.
