Definitely your typical franchise restaurant. The building itself was pretty warm (giving the feel of being in the Bahamas perhaps?) and it was a bit dark. Here's the Scoop! Bahama Breeze has become one of the spots I love since I went to one in Tampa, Florida 10 yrs. ago. The menu has changed since I first went to the one in Tampa. Ordered the chicken wings starter, the snapper dish as a main dish and sides of plantain and mash. I'm back again! No doubt this is a great place to go for dinner. I love their new additions and once again the service was great. Our waitress Cheyenne was very nice and was spot on for her recommendations for drinks, we had very similar tastes. I had the Carnival Flight, and we both happened to enjoy the Barbados Rum Punch the best. So next time I am back I know I will likely just get that, but the flight was great overall too. For an appetizer my husband and I shared the Tuna Tostada Stack which was absolutely delicious. He had the Island Snapper and I had the Jerk Mahi Mahi. Love Bahama breeze! I usually go there for happy hour,but this time I went there for dinner with family. It is always busy but you don't wait long. For those who haven't been there, it's a Caribbean fusion restaurant. It has a lot of options from seafood, to pastas, and Caribbean fusion foods. This time I went, for appetizers, we had the beef empanadas. For dinner I had the lobster and shrimp linguine, my sister had the skirt steak, and my mom had the jerk chicken. My mom advised us the jerk chicken was salty, but me and my sister liked our food. Staff overall were pleasant but a little overworked in my opinion. Response time was a little longer than usual but it may have been due to staffing levels. I've always wanted to try Bahama Breeze and I finally got around to it! The restaurant was clean and quiet. I visited during the afternoon and there were only a handful of guests inside. The hostess was welcoming and friendly! I ordered the vegetarian Jamaican stuffed plantain bowl and it was nothing short of delicious. The white rice, black beans and cheese tasted scrumptious underneath the tomatoes and corn. The food received by others in my party included the tequila salmon and honey butter chicken sandwich. Everyone thought their plates tasted great. I will return to try other dishes. I love the interior of Bahama Breeze; it's definitely a wonderful place for celebration dinners with its fun island vibe. The dishes are bursting with flavor! After a pleasant conversation we ordered the Margarita Flight (Classic, Dragon Fruit & Coconut-Pineapple) for drinks and the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos Served with a side of guacamole for our lunch. For additional sides my wife ordered a salad with Blue cheese and I had the black beans with rice. We were brought 2 glasses of water and with our flights. The classic was the best for us, then the Coconut, a little heavy but really good, the dragon we found a little sweet but we were told it was one of their more popular drinks. Then our meals came out. The Mahi Mahi was awesome, wife's salad with blue chees dressing was also awesome with chunks of Blue Cheese. My black beans and rice was also very good. We asked for a side of chips to go with the guac. Mack gave us some chips with plantain chips on the house. This Bahama breeze is by Smith Haven Mall. It's one of the main places where we meet for get togethers with my friends at work. The food is standard but if you get there before six, there is happy hour specials. I definitely recommend their jerk chicken and their fish tacos. The drink specials are also Instagram worthy. If you text a certain number that's advertised, you're supposed to get a code to redeem for a free appetizer. We both did it and never received a code and our waiter did not help us when we explained our issue, so unfortunately, we had to pay for it. For our entrees, I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken and my boyfriend ordered the steak. My chicken was a great. Spicy, but tolerable. My boyfriend said his steak was delicious. This was our first time here and since the moment we stepped in the door we were blown away. The decor and ambiance is unlike any other place I've been to. Caribbean island vibes and music. Nice and relaxing. We got the non-alcoholic ultimate pineapple drink and the dragonfruit margherita. Both were so refreshing. We got the crab cheese dip for an appetizer and for our entrees we got the steak churrasco and the chicken pineapple bowl. Amazing personality, great attention to detail and significantly influenced me wanting to come back to this place. We ordered yucca, then pineapple fried rice with shrimp and chicken served in an actual pineapple. (Delicious) I ordered jerk chicken with yellow rice and black beans. The jerk chicken doesn't taste like the jerk I'm used to at all but it's tasty roasted chicken with some all spice. Yesterday we were out in Suffolk and realized it would be a short hop to revisit an old favorite. We went with appetizers, including seafood chowder, conch fritters and coconut shrimp. It was all perfect, so we decided to try the key lime pie. The food was very good, just as I remembered from years ago, and very tasty. I had the shrimp tacos and my friend had the pineapple bowl. We were so full and enjoyed! The 3 stars is for the service. The waiter disappeared after the drinks! Plates from the appetizers and then entrees were never cleared. For a chain restaurant, my first visit was flawless! I had a bit of a bias going into it because I usually don't like chains. This place was different. The service was fantastic and the food was very tasty! Located in the Smith Haven Mall parking lot, the restaurant isn't attached to the mall, it's off to the side. There's tons of parking. There's a huge outdoor space that I assume would be perfect during the nice weather. Inside, the restaurant was extremely clean and I loved the decor. I was able to make a reservation on Opentable and was seated as soon as I came in. The prices are great. For 2 people, multiple drinks, apps, & dinners, I left with a Bill of around $130 with tip. That's awesome for a night out. The service was top notch. I unfortunately forget my servers name, but he was really on top of everything. He kept checking on our table and made our experience a great one. I requested a spicy margarita bring that it wasn't on the menu. Shoutout to the bartenders because it turned out great. I even ordered a second one! I loved the little shot glass made of ice that was served inside the marg. I also ordered Mojito Cubanos which were served in the cutest glasses. So, popped in for lunch (vegan and pescatarian) and had some difficulty with the menu ... vegan doesn't do dairy AT ALL so "vegetarian" meals don't work. Our awesome sauce waiter Mack suggests the SHRIMP & MAHI WITH LEMONGRASS SAUCE Starting at (Sautéed Mahi Mahi, shrimp, mushrooms, bok choy, and bell peppers in a coconut lemongrass sauce served over white rice.)
