The cocktail menu was impressive and I had a hard time picking one. I settled for the Mystic margarita and it was perfect! Refreshing and not too sweet. The food options weren't many and I settled on the Jamaican stuffed plantains. I can't even begin to describe how flavorful this dish was. It was exploding with spices. This was my second time visiting this location and both times exceeded my expectations! I was there for lunch and now for dinner. I have to say I would prefer this location over Brandon location 100%. It's a much better dining experience. My husband and I were walking around The Grove which also had a monthly fair going on. We decided to get dinner elsewhere and Bahama Breeze was convenient. Upon arrival on this Friday evening we were seated immediately. We were also given a choice of inside or outdoor patio. The restaurant wasn't crowded which was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the Beef Empanadas appetizer to share which were delicious. For dinner I ordered the Jerk Chicken Pineapple Bowl which is described on the menu as: Sautéed chicken, white rice, diced pineapples and sweet peppers tossed in jerk pineapple glaze, in a fresh-cut pineapple bowl. (790 cal) 15.99 I've never had this dish before but I would definitely order it again, it was extremely tasty! It was plentiful for me and I couldn't finish it. This restaurant offers a nice happy hour as well Monday-Friday 4-6pm and Sunday-Thursday 9pm-close. Discount on drinks and half price appetizers. Visited this relatively new location of this popular chain restaurant for lunch. They serve Caribbean style food and cocktails. This new place is consistent with their other locations. The food, drinks and service were all very good. They have a very large food menu as well as many tropical cocktails, as well as traditional bar drinks. They have several different lunch specials as well as lunch size portions of the dinner entrees. I was with a small group of friends. To start I had a Bahama Mama cocktail which was delicious. Then we tried a sampling of appetizers such as coconut shrimp, beef empanadas and jerk chicken wings. All well prepared and very good. I then had coconut shrimp tacos with a side of yellow rice and black beans. This is one of my favorite lunch items here. The place has both indoor and covered outdoor seating. It's been a while since I've been to Bahama Breeze. This restaurant serving Caribbean food takes me to the islands as if i was on vacation. From beach chairs outside to the hand painted ceiling fans inside, the ambiance is truly tropical. They do have live music as well outside. We started with the yucca sticks, beef empanadas and chicken tostones. All of the apps were absolutely delicious. My cilantro crema chicken with mash potatoes and corn was flavorful and tasty. I love that Caribbean food can be made widely available in a chain restaurant, just as other cuisines are. I have always found the food to be very good. This used to be one of our fav happy hour spots. After this last visit, I think our days here are done. The Menu and, more importantly, the recipes have changed and the food is not nearly as tasty. For example, we used to love the beef empanadas but this time we couldn't finish them. They were bland and frankly kind of watery and disgusting. Everything was fried in old oil that wasn't hot enough. We had to send the wings back because they weren't good at all (chewy skin). The crab dip tasted like low quality crab. All the food was rather sad. The best drink was the Pain Killer, that's still good. And the Ultimate Margarita is still really good. Miss on the island old fashioned (yuck). First time here and will repeat coming back! The food was great and fair portions for the cost. We started off with some Conch fritters. They had good flavor but they just tasted like hush puppies. Then I ordered the jerk chicken on a half pineapple. This has a delicious glaze that sits on the bottom. Highly recommend pulling the pineapple out and giving it a good stir. The chick was soft and juicy. Service was great. Waiter was playful with the our little girls and help kept them entertained. The whole place is decked out in on unique decor. My family and I (party of 12, 4 with kids under 10), stopped in for a birthday dinner celebration. First off the place has such beautiful island vibes with classic caribbean music playing in the background. We were seated right away and immediately met by the waiter to take drink/appetizer orders. I had the chicken tostones which is really filling if not shared and is delicious. After receiving our drinks our entree orders were taken. The host was patient, kind, attentive, and gave menu item details with ease. The service was relatively quick and came within a few minutes of finishing the appetizers. Upon getting the food, the orders were mostly done to perfection, with one small hiccup that was easily and quickly corrected free of charge. All in my dinner party thoroughly enjoyed their meals included the kids who had the kids meals burgers and fries which came with a boxed juice and side of fruit. My meal was the cabana crunch chicken salad which was a flavor party on my tongue. It had slivers of almonds and coconut that brought the crunch, and the sweet heat grilled jerk chicken that bought just a touch of heat. I ordered the 1/2 Jerk Chicken Sandwich (see picture) and my wife ordered the Blackened Fish Tacos with Seafood Chowder (see picture). I enjoyed the Jerk sandwich, but found it a little dry - as it apparently used a dry rub for seasoning and I expected the more traditional red sauce. My wife's Ultimate Margarita was fantastic (I tried a few sips), as were the Blackened Fish Tacos and Seafood Chowder. The chowder was light and flavorful without coming across as salty. Crab cheese appetizer dip with chips was very good. Sitting outside was lovely. Service was good. The Mahi Tacos, however, were very disappointing. I've had them before and really liked them. We visited Bahama Breeze over the weekend and had a great experience. I accidentally made a reservation for the Tampa location instead of Lutz, but they had availability for our party anyway. Our waiter Blair was exceptional, he was friendly with the kids and gave great suggestions. I ordered a strawberry mojito and the jerk chicken sandwich with fries. The strawberry mojito didn't have strong flavors, tasted watered down. So I won't recommend that. But the sandwich was delicious. The Cuban bread was soft and lightly pressed, it was perfect. The chicken and cheese inside was the perfect compliment to the barbecue sauce served on the side. I wouldn't hesitate to order this again. I would however choose a different side. The fries were so salty, I could only eat a couple after scraping the salt off. The kids had fries as well and they were not as salty, thank goodness. We ended our meal with a key lime pie and chocolate island. They were both good, but if you are a chocoholic like me, you must get the chocolate island. It was definitely my favorite of the two. I like Bahama Breeze. For a chain, it's not so bad though their prices are a bit high for some items. I have a small rotation of items I get here and coconut shrimp is high on the list. I love the dipping sauce it comes with which is the same one they serve with the conch fritters, which I also ordered. They always get the fritters and coconut shrimp perfectly done and crispy. I noticed a few lunch combos that seemed like real decent prices, I'll have to be back by to try them out. Maybe that's why they were so busy? For lunch on a Friday they were surprisingly busy. My family and I love Bahama Breeze and we are really sad they are closing down. Saturday we came into the restaurant expected to be seating nicely and quickly but instead the host Kennedy was really rude on her phone and basically ignored us. I had to greet her to even be acknowledged which was weird compared to what I'm used to. Her attitude wasn't very pleasant once she realized we were wanting to be sitting in a booth due to my child's special needs. Thankfully our server Jahnay saved the day and our visit she was prompt, kind, and funny. She was understanding with my child's needs seeing that he has autism and even told us she had a nephew with autism as well. She was truly a delight and we will be back to see her before this location goes out of business. Jahnay was one of the best servers I've ever had at any restaurant and definitely the best at bahama breeze. The food came out hot and quickly so I know she was hustling. If you are looking for a "real" Happy Hour or good lunch specials in Wesley Chapel, this is an option. Well...it's one of mine at least! You get a wide variety of drinks and apps for a steal! I have eaten here for lunch, dinner and happy hour so I know this restaurant menu! Island-inspired menu, however very much tamed down in terms of flavor and spices (I'm an islander..so I'm critical). The food is more of an American's version of Caribbean food. There are a couple items on the menu that you can steer clear from (hence the 4 stars) but overall it's good food. The drinks are really good as well. They also have cocktail and margarita flights, which allows you to try multiple items. The flights are a good size too! They have live entertainment at times which adds to the fun. There is outdoor and indoor seating, which I can appreciate. Usually, the servers are pretty darn awesome. It was a pleasure stopping into Bahama Breeze for lunch today. From start to finish, it was a great experience despite a minor snafu. Upon arrival, there was one large (5-6) party ahead of us. They were quickly seated, and so were we! Observation #1: Although the host desk acknowledged us and had us moving along, someone who appeared to be the manager, walked toward us with a welcoming smile and she greeted us warmly! Great first impression!! Once seated, our waiter, Brian L., came over to take our drink order. We ordered an appetizer as well. Within a few moments, we had the requested water and an update on our appetizers and order from the bar. Observation #2: Even though we ate outside, the tables were immaculate. I watched a professional remove used dishware and buffed those tabletops to a shine! In the midst of my admiration of someone taking pride in their work, Brian delivered the frozen Ultimate Pineapple. Great choice! Right behind him came the food runner with the appetizers. He greeted us with a smile, placed the food (Chicken Tostadas - another Great Choice), and asked if we needed anything. Observation #3: Brian had already brought extra napkins and small plates and we never had to ask. Observation #4: An older party came in following a hostess. She placed the menus and watched as they tried to navigate the booth. She offered another seating arrangement, and they accepted. She patiently waited as they settled and ensured they were comfortable before returning to the front. The food runner came with our entrees (jerk wings and the tropical fruit salad. We had a similar pleasant exchange as before, and we began to eat. Here's what happened: the wings needed more time in the oven. After a few bites, Brian checked the newly arrived dishes and immediately noticed the nearly raw meat. Brian took the appropriate steps of removing the plate, offering apologies, and getting a new dish fired quickly. Even with that, it was a most enjoyable experience. Delicious food, excellent customer service, and great drinks! I forgot to mention BB has undergone a menu revamp. Some of the lifelong favorites we've come to expect remain. We decided to try Bahama Breeze as it was within walking distance of our hotel. It was lunchtime when we were there. We ordered the Black Bean Stuffed Plantain Bowl and Jerk Chicken Pasta. Both were very good and good sizes. We also ordered two Montego Bay Breeze drinks, which we thought were overpriced as they were 75% ice and you couldn't taste a bit of alcohol. Also, the drink was filled up so much that you couldn't pour the pear sidecar in without your drink spilling all over the table. The reason we didnt leave immediately was , my nephew lives local, and we never get to see him so we stayed to visit with him. He lives an hr (S) away so hes not next door, so we visited with him.
