About a month ago I was in Florida visiting and ended up ordering DoorDash from here and loved it. Now I'm back visiting again and this is the first restaurant I wanted to check out in person. First of I had no idea it's in a really nice food mall place where restaurants all are places in these large crates that offer outdoor dining for guests. They have parking available that surrounds all restaurants. They have indoor seating in Mojo Grill as well as outdoor. We decided to order a build your own bowl with steak, cilantro rice, slaw, and tostones. A kids meal with chicken tenders with rice and beans, a cubano, and a steak and shrimp sandwich with a side of fries with queso. My bowl was DELICIOUS and they portions are big! I've never had such a flavorful slaw that was balanced with lime and felt so fresh. The herbs in it was such a great combination with flavor I seriously could eat a huge bowl of that. The steak was cooked perfectly and had this almost chimichurri sauce on top made up of herbs that was delicious. On top of the steak they had pickled purple o ions which were wow! The bowl came with this light green sauce which I also could have a gallon of. That sauce was also very delicious with the tostones. The tostones were incredible and meaty and crispy. I can't say enough how delicious that bowl was. My daughter had the kids meal and that is a great value item. They get a lot of food and a drink of choice which was a passion fruit lemonade drink that had a punch with flavor. My son ended up devouring the steak and shrimp sandwich. He said it was the best sandwich he's had. (Coming from a 13 year old) The cubano was good I haven't had any other cubanos so it's tricky to compare it with something else but between both sandwiches the steak and shrimp was the winner. Mojo Grill offers so many different dish options as well as drink options, made fresh and so extremely flavorful. The service has always been top notch and the restaurant's vibe itself is so pretty and unique, adding to the uniqueness of all the businesses offered at the Krate at the Grove. My favorite things to order have been the passionfruit juice, empanadas, and sandwiches. Oh wait- did I mention they also serve alcoholic beverages?! Can't forget those! We stumbled upon this place while trying to decide where to eat in this adorable strip with local restaurants and shops. We are so glad we went in. The staff was super friendly! I had the BEST Cuban sandwich I have ever had. I could tell the pork was freshly slow roasted and their homemade dill pickles were an excellent compliment to the sandwich. Some of the most delicious food I've had lately, and one of my favorite restaurants at The Krates! I ordered a build-your-own bowl most recently. The chicken was so flavorful and tender, the slaw has the perfect amount of creaminess and tang, and the cilantro lime rice was so fluffy and the perfect vessel for all the fixings! What a fun and tasty place to eat! They were super busy on this hot Sunday, so they must be doing something right! And that tres leches cake!.... So good and leche . Light flavor and it was perfect for sharing with my son! They also offer flan and Choco flan, several sodas, wine, sangria, and water. We opted for the bowls -- grilled chicken with fajita Veggies, Cuban slaw and plantains and the steak bowl with rice, beans and fajita veggies. The flavor on the chicken was REALLY good! Hubs and I both really liked the Cuban slaw also. Fajita veggies really didn't have any flavor however was great when mixed with the slaw and chicken. Hubs steak bowl was good also. Great News for Wesley Chapel coming in right here for you from me!!! Mojo Grill Latin Fusion is now open. They had a soft opening this last Friday, April 8, 2022. I finally stopped in today. I'm especially excited for their opening because I've been following them for some time on their social media. This family is oh so welcoming to their wonderful eatery. They serve up Latin fusion bowls, sandwiches and apps and desserts here. The Krates at Wesley Chapel, where they are located is an up and coming food park. Places are starting to open and this is ever so exciting. I love these local businesses and we will be getting a bunch now. I picked up a puerco asado bowl. This is their shredded pork with mojo sauce and you pick your sides. The sides I picked were the cilantro rice, Cuban slaw, and sweet plantains. Decided to try Mojo Grill at the krate because of the line of people going in. It was great and ropa vieja was flavorful and the rice and maduros were good. It was your typical dish and they are not generous with the portions because I think they are going for more of a quality vs quantity approach. What really stood out for me was the cabbage salad that gave the plate a nice touch of flavor. The ambience is okay and kind of a small place but it was really nice to sit outside with the nice breeze and it wasn't too hot. read more

The Cuban sandwich was good and the steak Chimichurri sandwich was a good choice I must say. The sangria was not too sweet and refreshing on this hot day. Decided to check out the new places in the Krates. Mojo grill seemed to be a popular spot so I gave them a try. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by a friendly gentleman which I assume was the owner. I decided to get a steak bowl with rice, beans and Cuban claw. For a $13.99 bowl I expected more. I had 4 small pieces of steak, a spoon of rice with slaw and bean filling the empty spaces. The steak was tender and had some flavor, I think the dripping sauce they gave me with the bowl really gave the steak flavor. The cilantro rice was okay not anything special, the bean were bland and the Cuban slaw was cabbage and carrots shredded with no seasoning. Overall IMO it's not worth the price and lacks the true authentic Cuban flavors. Being raise in Miami I know cuban food and this isn't it. read more

Visiting Miami for Carnival and staying in little Haiti. One of my friends and I stopped across the street for a lunch special. While waiting I saw Mojo Grill and something just told me to look them up. The menu and pictures of people's food all looked great. We regretted getting the wings and shrimp but decided to try it for lunch the next day. Our other friends were heading to get food when we got back and I sent them the Mojo website and they tried it out. They all loved it their different bowls and thanks us for the recommendation. Today came and it was my turn to give them a try. I went with the chicken classic bowl and the friend chicken salad. They were both amazing. I can't say which I liked more because they were both amazing. I had the creamy buffalo sauce with my salad, 10/10. I had some of the guava bbq with my bowl but ate most of it without it, 10/10 as well. I hope the people in this area realize and appreciate this affordably priced gem. read more

We love this place! After frustration at a neighboring Business I tried this restaurant and was happy they did not have the same issue as their neighbor. I ordered two chimichurri sandwiches which were quickly prepared, and delicious to eat. I particularly liked the sauce and was intrigued to see it as homemade. Visited the Krates with a friend. Stopped by every restaurant to look at the menus before picking Mojo. We definitely made the right choice. My friend had the steak bowl and I had the ropa veija with rice, slaw and black beans bowl. Everything was excellent. Also had the sangria, which was very tasty. Service was great. My friend said it was one of the best meals she has had in Tampa. While I know I want to try other places in the Krates, it will be hard to pass up Mojo to try something else. read more
