Waygu Truffle Slider, Pork Belly Bao Bun, and fries

Experience has gone downhill since my first visit. Food was not great. My Wagyu sliders were dry and overcooked. The short rib fries were soggy upon arrival like they had been sitting for a bit. After this experience, I won't be coming back or recommending unfortunately.

My husband and I stopped in two weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon and found the experience disappointing. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks that were quite good. The Mussels appetizer were bland and devoid of the flavorful broth that makes the dish enjoyable so we ate only a few and ordered entrees. I got the Wild Mushroom Sandwich and my husband ordered the Crab-cakes. Both dishes were very bland and lacking in flavor. We both decided we would pass on the food next time but enjoy a drink when next in Safely Harbor.

Stopped for Happy Hour while checking out Safety Harbor for the first time. We took a seat at the bar and were two of four customers at the time. Bartender sort of killed our vibe. Maybe it was his personality, but he didn't seem enthused to take orders or drinks. We ordered the short rib fries as a happy hour special. It was so good we ordered a second, but the 2nd order didn't have nearly as much short rib - it was mostly fries. We also tried the lobster and shrimp bisque. It had great flavor, but it was mostly "broth" and very little chunks of lobster or crab. We would come back to try for dinner - but bartender sort of ruined the vibe for us.

I went to the water oak grill, after going to the beach. I was looking for seafood , when you have that seafood craving after all the day at the beach, like that, and I Iiked the place, the restaurant and the food was really good. It was a nice day, so we sat down outside , the outdoor seating, the Service was on point, our server Tyler took care of us, we had a questions about the menu and he was very patient and answered all our questions. W ordered Grouper bites as appetizer, daughter ordered the shrimp kids meal, also hogfish sandwich with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, and a grilled shrimp dinner with a side of yellow rice and veggies. Everything was delicious, service was fast, wasn't fast food but anythging was in and out quickly. Excellent, recommended.

Disappointed. I was looking forward to dinner here because the menu looks great. Sadly, I was disappointed. These are the reasons. The lobster bisque had no bits of lobster in it at all. Not just mine, my friends also didn't have any in it. Also, it was quite thin for a bisque. The other item I had was the ahi tuna with Asian noodles. I am a big fan of ahi tuna and Asian food. The tuna was just ok. The noodles were not good, more like weird. You will get a better cold noodle at Fresh Kitchen. Reviews from my friends were mixed. Some dinners were good, some so so. Service was fine, especially since they were really busy. The ambiance is nice. If I were to go back I think I would try to go for happy hour. The happy hour menu looked good and is less expensive.

This place is awesome especially for happy hour! Free parking as well. I recommending coming here during happy hour and getting the white wine mussels along with the grouper nuggets. The wine and drinks on the happy hour are also a good pairing. The overall venue is very good as well. You just get more of a bang for your buck if you come during happy hour. The inside is a cool scratch kitchen type vibe, I recommend coming here if you in the area!

Second time eating here. We live in town and don't visit the finer establishments as much as we should. Came here for a birthday dinner. Came on a Monday , made reservations but didn't really need to as Mondays are light days around here. The service is great. Appreciate how good the staff operates. Inside is very nice. It's dark but not too dark. They have lamps at the tables to add to the lighting. One very nice touch, as weird as it sounds, the water they serve is filtered and doesn't have that sulfur smell pinellas co is famous for.

Great happy hour! I won't go any other time because is a little pricey but great experience, service and food!

Nice restaurant located in downtown safety harbor. Great service and the blackened Hogfish sandwich was delicious. Stella on draft too plus local draft beers. Would recommend for a nicer upscale dining choice.

Went for a girls "night" and I say that because we actually went at 4pm to better take advantage of their AMAZING happy hour specials! We almost ordered one of everything on the happy hour menu. I wish I took more pictures, but the convo was too good. The bites were all good but not the most flavorful or best I've had. But we were delighted by how affordable the bill was at the end of the night, even with us all drinking two drinks/glasses of wine! I would go again and try some things that I skipped. Would definitely go again!

Food and drink was delish. Service and atmosphere were wonderful, can dine indoors or outside! Definitely recommend.

Cute spot with traditional food done right. The menu offered the staples, seafood, beef, chicken, etc. All dishes were prepared well with tasty sides to match. The atmosphere was nice yet casual with seating indoors and out. We grabbed dinner before a show at Ruth Eckerd and it was the perfect spot for us.

From the moment I saw the seafood case, everything looked ridiculously fresh, and that freshness carried straight onto the plate. The Tides is both a seafood market and restaurant, so you're surrounded by beautiful seafood and ingredients that actually look like they belong there. Then I noticed the MICHELIN plaque outside the building and thought, wait a minute... THIS place has Michelin recognition? Apparently, yes! The Tides has earned a place in the MICHELIN Guide, which suddenly made a whole lot of sense after tasting the food. That salmon was seriously some of the best I've ever had. Fresh, beautifully prepared and so clean tasting that it didn't need a bunch of heavy sauces or nonsense piled on top. It felt like one of those rare meals that is indulgent because it's delicious, but you also walk away thinking, I actually ate something good for me. We made the mistake of trying to go on a Saturday evening. Shoot for off hours instead, as the wait was pretty long. We ordered a lot of what the Michelin blurb recommended: the dip trio (out of white fish), the crawfish arancini, the fried grouper po boy, and snapper. In the dip trio, we absolutely loved the fried green tomatoes and the pimento cheese (I don't like tajjn but it worked extremely well here). Neither of us was in love with the smoked fish, but if you're a big smoked fish person you might like it. We also loved the arancini and the romesco sauce they came with. The entrees we were honestly disappointed in. The grouper in the po boy tasted dry, and the snapper was nothing to write home about. It must be difficult for a restaurant to live up to the greatly heightened expectations of a Michelin designation. The location and staff were great. We didn't leave delighted but I would definitely come back to try more items.

Service was great and super attentive. We started with the hush puppies, which were good. Definitely not the best, but they were still good. They came with a side of ranch. Out came the seafood boil, we ordered two one of their standard boils and then I did a customer boil with crab legs and sausage. We both added boiled eggs to ours and went with the mild spice level and Mr. And Mrs. Crab seasoning. They bring out a bib, gloves and a discard bucket when you order the boils. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. Again, not the best I've had but it satisfied our craving. My girlfriend thought it was delicious and was making sure to soak everything up in the sauce, haha. One thing I noticed was the crab was lacking on some of the legs, not as meaty. Not sure what caused that. Also, there was a bit of a funky after taste with the boil that I haven't encounter before. I don't know if it was the seasoning or the sauce. Just my personal opinion and others might think differently. Also, wasn't really a fan of the potatoes or the egg. Just tasted off to me. Overall, we had a good experience. Might return in the future to give it another shot.

My husband and I loved our drinks and could easily sit at the bar all day talking with the bartenders and bonding over their drinks The food was extremely well prepared. We loved that their menu wasn't full of fluff that fine dining places can tend to have but rather it was all the classic staples that you know but expertly executed. The cauliflower appetizer had a nice thin crispy layer with soft cauliflower and paired extremely well with the garlic jalapeño aioli that was just mildly spicy. This was by far the best cauliflower dish we've ever had. The Burrata was paired with fresh strawberries, arugula and balsamic vinaigrette which made a fresh and delicious combo. The star of the night was the chicken piccata. The portion size was big enough to share for two. The chicken was juicy and soaked up all the sauce and paired well with the vegetables it was served with. The sauce was slightly tart but balanced by the capers and cream. The potatoes were perfectly salted with a very crispy skin (almost like French fries) and then a soft center. Hardly shareable. My seared tuna was very good and a decent size portion but seriously? You can't serve shelled edamame? Fishing the bean pods out of the sauce to clumsily try to squirt the bean out should not be happening with a dish that is $34. We ordered a bottle of wine which we all enjoyed.
