My family and I visited this location at about 7 pm on 6/23. We were served broken styrofoam cups so who knows if it was in our shaved ice. But that's the tip of the iceberg. I had to explain to my 10 year old that one of the employees were stealing. Because he asked if she worked there. Because she had just walked in plain clothes no uniform. Went behind the counter and made at least four drinks for her friends. So I had to explain that she probably does work here but not at this moment and she is giving away product that she probably shouldn't be. Great example to set for my children. read more

We were a little apprehensive when we pulled into the parking lot and saw the line wrapped around. But then we noticed the employee with a tablet taking orders down the line. My husband and I both decided to stay! He ordered the kokomoko and I the strawberry lemonade blended. I came here with my bf because I have been to one in a long time and he had never been and look I'm a food industry worker myself ive worked at many types of food service companies so I hate complaining but ; for starters I found it quite odd that it's only two teenagers working right before close. I don't think there was a manager or at least on the floor. They weren't rude by any means but they seem way too young to be by themselves without some sort of management present. Second and most important thing is , I got the wavebender smoothie which sounded so amazing but when I tasted it it was very similar to the smell of a candle or soap. The taste was not as good as it sounded but that's not even the worst part...the smoothie made my stomach BURN.... Like made me violently nauseous and when my bf tried it even he said it made him feel sick. Idk if the fruit yall use is bad or if the workers aren't doing the right sanitation steps after use but something isn't right . They come in different sizes: 8, 12, 16, 20, & 32 ounces. My favorite is the Bahama Rama Mama! It's made up of ice cream, sno, and tropic creme. I like to add chamoy to give it a little more acidity. The best part is that vanilla ice cream, giving the snow a creamy texture. Delicious! Another popular item is the birthday cake with sprinkles, which I have yet to try. They also sell lattes, espresso, and smoothies if you're not all about that snow. I love the layout of this place. We ordered 4 party packs for a company event two weeks in advance. Day of the event we arrive to pick up our order and it was not ready because they lost the order. They said they would be able to get it together in 10-20 minutes. 45 minutes later we get our order. They did offer coupons for 3 free snowcones to make up for their mistake. Our event was half over by the time we got back to the office. Also, when calling in the order, I asked for a receipt to be emailed so I could expense the purchase. They refused and said we would get a receipt when we picked up the order. We did not receive a receipt. I tried calling the next day to ask about the receipt, but the would not answer the phone. I ended up going to the location on my lunch hour to get a receipt. They lost the receipt and could not reproduce it. They took a blank piece of paper & wrote "4 party packs" and the amount. No logo on the paper or anything to prove where this purchase was made. Nothing usable for submitting an expense report. I would not recommend this business for any corporate events. I was very hesitate today about the "sour sand" (under add ons) but a couple of the lady workers reassured me that it tasted really good. I took their word for it and I'm glad I did!! On May 22nd I placed an order online for 5 coolers of snowballs. Every year we throw a fun "last day of school bash" for the kids. Previously it's been paintballs or water balloons, but this year we wanted to try something new. The coolers were set to be delivered May 26th around 3:30pm. Early that morning, we received news that our party of 10 dropped to 3(due to a medical emergenc), and decided it would be best to cancel altogether. Bahama bucks opened at 11am that morning, and while standing outside participating in my daughters 4th grade clap out, I made the call to cancel. The "manager" that answered just a few minutes after 11am told me that wasn't possible because they had already been made. I confirmed they had JUST opened for the day, to which she acknowledged but stated the crew had gotten there earlier that morning to start making orders. She wasn't offering any suggestions so I asked if it would be possible to hold the snowballs overnight and I pick them up the next day. She stated that was fine, she'd personally be there until 5pm and to make sure I called before then to give her an official answer. At 3:50pm, a poor, unknowing, Uber/Door dash driver pulled up and started walking the first cooler towards me. I profusely apologized for the inconvenience to him and immediately called Bahama Bucks again. This time, another manager answered the phone. The girl I spoke with originally had "left early" and no one else was aware of the situation. As I'm explaining this again, the driver next to me gives a puzzled look. According to him, my delivery was a little late because HE HAD TO WAIT FOR THEM TO FINISH MAKING THE SNOWBALLS. Contrary to the "we made them early this morning" I was told a few hours prior. The new manager said no problem, he would cancel the order and refund and I sent the driver back on his way (to which Bahama Bucks was aware of as well). Fast forward 42 days, MULTIPLE phone calls, messages every time with my name and phone number, a personal visit to the store, a message on their Facebook page AND a complaint filled out on their "contact us" portion of their website later....and I'm still waiting on my $160 . I will be making a more vocal and aggressive visit soon. I've been extremely pleasant and understanding this entire time. Great little place to stop for a quick cool off in the Texas Summer heat! I always go for a Thin Ice flavor, which is a great option. My kids love all the flavors, and the shaved ice texture is great. Service is usually fairly quick, although we've had to wait a bit on busier days. However, they are always friendly and polite. On Sunday June 16, I arrived during a rain storm with my family for an afternoon snow cone for Father's Day. The door was locked which led to us getting rained on more than necessary. When we finally got in, the staff indicated they could not take our orders because the dorm caused the power to briefly go out and the computers had to reboot. I'm not sure why the could not have offered to make our orders and write down the information on a manual ticket as I was paying cash, but it is what it is. We sat in the store for about 5-10 minutes being ignored and finally decided to leave. My wife suggested we try agin today and upon entering, we were not greeted with a welcome entrance, but rather the "manager on duty" named "Mikey or Michael" looking at me and then shouting at Jordan in the back, "Counter!" Multiple times. The guy Jordan came out and said sorry about that and took our order. Really both experiences felt just unwelcoming as though the staff did not want us there. Which is fine, I found a sno-cone stand 2 miles away on a different route home that I will try and I bet they would appreciate our business. In this day and age, there are a number of businesses that all sell quality products, but what separates them and makes customers want to come back is the service and experience.
