I usually go early getting there between 10am and 11am, before they run pierces as 5th in line for the section with the fried/grilled chicken, chicken nuggets, Jojo fries, and short rib ends. Love the shirt rib ends, so was waiting to get some. The employee helpungcamwas a laemployee and the customer begoemre me was rude and impatient. This customer wanted the grilled chicken pierces , but had very poor communication skills. He kept asking for the small brown pieces. The latino employee would point to the chicken legs (the small legs made of brown meat). The customer didn't say anything so the employee put the kegs un the co trainer. Then the customer is saying, No the small brown pieces, again. So I'm as confused as the safeway employee. So the employee just starts pointing at different pieces, thighs, wings, breast. The customer keeps saying no to the left the small browner pieces. The customer is obviously getting upset and turns to look at me for back up But dude you're confusing me too. The customers says to me, He doesn't know what im talking about. So I tell him that I don't know what yiyr talking about The customer finally says Whatever just give me the chicken and walks away. I'm next so I say Hi How are you to the customer being courteous. I saw there wasn't much short rib tips left, so I was going to take whatever was in the tray. However the employee says, let me get some fresh ones they just finished cooking. So I received 1 lb of fresh cooked short ribs. Being kind goes a long way. Didn't get the employees name but he is definitely an assist to Safeway Delhi section. He never got angry or frustrated at the annoying customer, .

Not only did she answer all of my questions, but she even took the time to help me find a seasoning I had been searching for. That level of customer service is rare these days. Jamie was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure I found everything I needed. She made my shopping experience enjoyable, and honestly, I'll return to this store just because I know she'll be there to help. Raley's, Jamie is an incredible asset to your company. Employees like her are what keep customers coming back. Please give this woman her flowers--she absolutely deserves the recognition. She asked if I was ready to check out does it look like I'm in a check out line, No. Don't assume someone is stealing a watermelon if they are waiting outside the door. Very inspirational actually. It's on the corner of what appear to be agricultural fields. The family converted the place to a market and grill. The market has great promotions, bought an entire case of mangos, but the grill. Omg the grill was so cute. Nice decor, love the music and energy, and the furnishings were traditional but very bohemian luxury. Super hip and the dad grilled up good eats. Definitely recommend this place. Wish I had a farm corner to do a similar concept.

Parking was a nightmare, I legit felt we would get hit at any moment. My husband and I were on the hunt for chapulines (grasshoppers) and tuetano (bone marrow). We swiped the last container of chapulines. Imported from Oaxaca, a lil pricey ($12) but necessary for our recipe. After not seeing any bone marrow in the display cases, I asked the butcher if they had any bone marrow. He said yeah and went to the back to grab it. Let me tell you, this bone was HUGE and the butcher was holding it in the air like a scene from the Flintstones to show us. I couldn't believe it when he said he'd give it to us for free if we bought meat. I asked how much it would be alone. He left to go ask and meanwhile my husband came over and I told him what he'd said about giving it to us for free. My husband was like, let's just buy some meat. So by the time the guy returned, I told him we'd buy a pound of arrachera. I didn't follow up with how much the bone marrow would've been by itself, but I'm still curious. that bone was HUGE!!! We'd gone to Winco before this and they had bone marrow but it was sliced in thick disks, frozen, small, and pricey so we didn't even bother with it. This Flintstone bone was fresh and HUGE. Also, we asked if he could slice it down the middle for us so we could grill them. We were super happy in line with our purchases. I know where to get my bone marrow now! :)

My mom's cat was very sick and was safely secured inside a crate while she quickly stopped in. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, she was immediately told to leave. I understand that businesses may have a no-pets policy, and that's completely within their rights. However, there is a difference between enforcing a policy and how you treat people. A little kindness, empathy, or even a simple explanation would have gone a long way. The lack of sympathy shown during what was already a stressful situation was very unfortunate. Other stores, including larger chains, have handled similar situations much more respectfully. It wasn't the policy itself that was upsetting--it was the way it was enforced. Based on this experience, I will not be returning.

As I was in mine 10th item a lady finally opened one of the registers and another associate walked out of one of the rooms and looked at me talking bout he doesn't know why I'm at self check out with all those items so I proceeded to tell him " there was no registers open and no associates on the floor so my only option was the self checkout " and he just responded with "oh yea I know". It was probably around 11:30am so idk why they didn't have registers open.

She told us she could void the transaction, somebody would help us sign up and that we could come back into the line and she would help us. She was super nice. Then she shouts over at the lady that is by the self-checkout. The lady just walks back to the self-checkout completely ignoring us and not helping us. We asked her if she was helping us that we needed to sign up and in a rude tone she said we needed to get the app and just went about her business. Were hot, thirsty and in the moment couldn't even think to process to pull up the app and then the lady starts arguing with me. I told her I'm not going to argue with her that the lady said she was going to help us and that is it. Then we said forget it. We were leaving the items and the manager comes out getting extremely rude. While we're quickly walking out trying to get out of the store, because my child has disabilities and at this point we're completely frustraited, he kept saying stuff. I turn around and I'm talking to my husband because he's a little further back and the manager starts repeating "what is that? what is that?" I told him I was talking to my husband, not him, and we kept walking. This is not the first time we've had issues in this store and we definitely will never go back. The cashier herself was extremely nice to us, but the other lady and the manager were so disrespectful. Crummy place and and the disrespect is on a whole nother level.

As someone who is Mexican American and doesn't speak Spanish fluently, shopping here can honestly…read morefeel uncomfortable at times. A lot of the staff automatically assume you speak Spanish, and it's actually pretty rare to find someone working who speaks English well enough to help. Sometimes it feels like it's inconvenient for the staff when you don't speak Spanish, which shouldn't be the case at all. I also found expired cat food while shopping and placed it to the side thinking someone would remove it, but when I came back two weeks later it was STILL sitting there expired. That was really concerning. Another frustrating change is the checkout process. It used to be convenient being able to buy beans, rice, and groceries all together, but now everything has to be done in separate transactions and separate lines, which just makes shopping take longer for no reason. I still go occasionally when I absolutely have to, but honestly if I find somewhere closer and more welcoming, I'd rather shop there instead.
