Great little corner market with lots of fun Filipino snacks and everyday grocery items. Discovered the market with hot foods after leaving Farmers Market on a Saturday afternoon. I've been wanting Vermicelli, Patis and lumpia wrappers and they had it. Also picked up some garlic corn nuts, and misc snacks. Owner at the counter was very nice and said they just started serving food 7-months ago. Place is sparkling new and clean. Played it safe and ordered the beef tapas (marinated, thinly sliced beef), garlic rice and fried egg. Only complaint, my egg was fried hard so specify if you want it cooked differently. Also came with a small container of pickled sweet veggies. All for $10.99. If they raised the prices $1 and added a lumpia that would make it for me! Even after Farmers market goodies, the babes and I gobbled up our food.

The little Filipino store that could! Here in Tracy, the ever growing Filipino/Asian community is in constant need of options for food and grocery shopping. If you lived in the Bay Area and are used to having Seafood City, Island Pacific, or 99 Ranch, you will definitely miss them and love having little stores like Bahay Kubo...It's awesome location in downtown Tracy puts it in a good spot. They also serve Filipino food which is a plus! We've tried their "Silog" items and we would definitely recommend! They are very friendly, and the store has a good variety of items. There is parking in front of their store on the street, as well as a parking lot behind the building. Just have an open mind and avoid your usual Filipino/Asian mentality of criticizing prices because they're not a big box store, so support your local community.

We came here to explore the new Filipino market in town but left with a handful of items and was beyond impressed with the selection of snacks, desserts, and plants! Bahay Kubo is located in Downtown Tracy; parking is plentiful and the area is pretty lively especially on Saturdays. The owners were super kind and friendly - it shows they have a strong attention to detail with how clean and organized their store is and that was greatly appreciated. They have everything you can imagine when it comes to Filipino/Asian sauces (Lechon sauce, kewpie mayo, sriracha, mirin, etc), and even had items like balut, siopao, and longanisa. My personal favorite selection of items they had: the ice cream! There's a great variety of Magnolia ice creams here, like the boba ones, bars, and classic tubs. My family loved the ice cream so much that we ended up coming back the day after my initial visit to get more since we finished the tub lol! The prices felt very fair too. For it being one of the two small Asian grocery stores in the Tracy area, we thoroughly enjoyed our trips here and look forward to coming again for all of our Filipino/Asian small grocery necessities :-)

This place is excellent. The market has good selections. The food is excellent as well. My only complaint is the ratio of rice to meat for my Beef Tapa plate was off. Mostly rice and small amount of meat.

It's hard to find Filipino ingredients in Tracy but thank God for Bahay KUBO you can get groceries! I was making a Filipino BBQ Chicken recipe and it called for Banana Ketchup and this store had it. Friendly cashier, good selection, clean, frozen section , nice music playing and reasonable prices. Great spot ! Recommend!!!! I didn't eat the lunch plates as they weren't serving at the time I went I think.

    Bangsilog 8/10. Crispy and delicious

The store for what it is IS MY FAVE! They have a bunch of stuff you wouldn't find in your local safe way etc. You can find Filipino and Asian products that are necessary for daily cooking. Great selection of frozen goods as well. They have frozen bangus, tocino, hotdogs, cheese dogs, longanisa, and more. They sell hot food like the silogs I shared at a certain times (it's a must-try). I def will come back for their bangsilog. $9.99 per plate

I love to cook, so of course grocery shopping is fun to me. Their house generic goods usually cost a fraction of the price that competitors charge (including the other store that starts with a W!) Make sure to hit up the bulk bins. I bought about 2.5 weeks worth of groceries -- including cheese and some delightful chocolate wafers -- for under $65. I even found some brands and products that I can't easily find in my own area (Contra Costa County.) At checkout time, things move pretty smoothly and efficiently. My checker was friendly and super speedy. I was able to bag up my own groceries out of the way of the next shopper, which I think keeps the lines running quickly. I'll definitely be coming back again!

A lady in front of me had an adorable baby so I complimented her on how beautiful her daughter and said that my biggest dream is being a wife and a mom. Rosemarie looked at me with disgust when I had said that. Then when I paid for my things, I had NO POCKETS so I had to pull the money from my bra and she got disgusted and said "I have to touch that. That's disgusting" and proceeded to put on hand sanitizer in front of me. May I add, I took an hour long shower before leaving my house to be met with horrible, rude, bitter woman. Winco HR please look into her customer service background because I'm pretty sure she has none. She is rude. I'm 24 years old and I have more respect than her. And lady, grow up. You made my day absolutely horrible in the worst way possible.

I usually go early getting there between 10am and 11am, before they run pierces as 5th in line for the section with the fried/grilled chicken, chicken nuggets, Jojo fries, and short rib ends. Love the shirt rib ends, so was waiting to get some. The employee helpungcamwas a laemployee and the customer begoemre me was rude and impatient. This customer wanted the grilled chicken pierces , but had very poor communication skills. He kept asking for the small brown pieces. The latino employee would point to the chicken legs (the small legs made of brown meat). The customer didn't say anything so the employee put the kegs un the co trainer. Then the customer is saying, No the small brown pieces, again. So I'm as confused as the safeway employee. So the employee just starts pointing at different pieces, thighs, wings, breast. The customer keeps saying no to the left the small browner pieces. The customer is obviously getting upset and turns to look at me for back up But dude you're confusing me too. The customers says to me, He doesn't know what im talking about. So I tell him that I don't know what yiyr talking about The customer finally says Whatever just give me the chicken and walks away. I'm next so I say Hi How are you to the customer being courteous. I saw there wasn't much short rib tips left, so I was going to take whatever was in the tray. However the employee says, let me get some fresh ones they just finished cooking. So I received 1 lb of fresh cooked short ribs. Being kind goes a long way. Didn't get the employees name but he is definitely an assist to Safeway Delhi section. He never got angry or frustrated at the annoying customer, .

The store is like a winter wonderland of gift giving ideas- several beautiful displays, especially in the floral area. I ended up buying a lot more than planned. There wasn't a line and the cashier was super friendly. We made small talk but like we were old friends. I put in my phone number to use my rewards account to get the sale prices and I got some good deals. Fun grocery experience!

A lot of the staff automatically assume you speak Spanish, and it's actually pretty rare to find someone working who speaks English well enough to help. Sometimes it feels like it's inconvenient for the staff when you don't speak Spanish, which shouldn't be the case at all. I also found expired cat food while shopping and placed it to the side thinking someone would remove it, but when I came back two weeks later it was STILL sitting there expired. That was really concerning. Another frustrating change is the checkout process. It used to be convenient being able to buy beans, rice, and groceries all together, but now everything has to be done in separate transactions and separate lines, which just makes shopping take longer for no reason. I still go occasionally when I absolutely have to, but honestly if I find somewhere closer and more welcoming, I'd rather shop there instead.
